The interior doesn't retain much charm of the rich history it claims. The service was at a snail pace (we saw tables with more people ate their food and left way before us)! Then there is the mediocre food again we come to learn in Houghton. The Ahi tacos lacked flavor besides the wasabi taste. The shredded coleslaw mix was piled up high to disguise the tiny amount of tuna buried underneath! Husband got the Italian pasta with shrimp. The $3 up charge for burned garlic bread was insane! But again, this is expected in Houghton. You get charged extra for protein and bread when they're usually included in the meal! Guess this is standard in the UP. Overall, this is definitely NOT worth the hype! If you're looking for historic character then you need a different restaurant. Would not recommend it!

It was fun looking at the stickers on the ductwork and reading the painted bricks. The drawback IMO was that they didn't have much on tap. Two of their regular beers were out. There was mention of food trucks but none were posted when we visited. If the brewery offered some dry snacks, that would be nice. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. In order to accommodate, there are multiple bars as well. We went upstairs to the back patio and we pleasantly surprised by the set up. If this were a cooler day, fire pits could also be used. Note there is no shade available so on a hot day it may be advisable to sit elsewhere. Also there were plenty of board games available on both floors for patrons to borrow. All in all- Oredock is a solid brewery.
