This is an interesting bar that shows off the wealth in the area back in the heyday of the Copper Country. It has a beautiful tile floor and a wonderful wooden bar, dating back to early 20th-century (as near as I can figure).
We had a great conversation with our bartender who shared some of the history of the bar.
We mentioned that we were looking for a place to eat in the area and he listed some places and added "oh, and we have pizza and nachos as well" He said the pizza was pretty good - usually I'm like "yeah, he's trying to sell us a Tombstone" but was pleasantly surprised.
This was a pizza where the toppings were so plentiful they were falling off. It was cooked well and served hot and was obviously made on site. For the three of us, the one pizza sufficed.
If you're looking for a beautiful old bar with friendly service in the Calumet area (and, really who isn't?), Luigi's is one of the first places I recommend. read more
