Grilled cheese, bacon, and tomato. Asked for American, got Cheddar. But hey, it's Vermont.

I'm going to give a generous 4 stars for being pretty much exactly what it's supposed to be: a country, roadshide diner (with attached store) in Vermont. This was diner food done right. Service was friendly. The interior definitely had some years on it. But the food was pretty much exactly what is was supposed to be. One improvement: offer fries or salad in addition to chips (even with a supplement) with the sandwiches. See the pictures to see what the food is like.

Some of the best diner food I've had in a long time. Tasty and affordable! Staff was accommodating and kind. Recommend if you're in the area

Exactly what we were looking for; simple, small, cozy diner. So glad we came across this place.

Tiny diner with counter space and 5-6 booths. Service was prompt and courteous. Ordered decaf coffee that was served old and burnt. When I questioned if it was decaf the waitress replied "I will make a fresh pot". She knew she served me stale coffee. Pancakes were well done on 1 side. Maple syrup was delicious.

Probably my favorite diner I've ever been to in my life. I love this place, it's cozy and very homegrown. Super authentic place. You wouldn't expect the food to be as good as it is but it will blow you away. Cup of coffee of course and any of the plates they have are great. Anything with sausage on the side is incredible. They also make their own syrup which is a cool touch.

Looking for that hole in the wall/off the beaten path breakfast joint with great food? This is it! Friendly staff with excellent food located in a "nothing to talk about atmosphere". But that's what makes the ambiance. It's great food with great locals. Don't miss this hard to find spot!

Not many breakfast options in town and this place is popular. We timed our arrival perfectly and got one of the last remaining tables. Place is very small with ten seats at the counter and maybe six four tops along the wall. Our server ran the floor solo and wasn't overly friendly in the beginning but eventually she warmed up to us. It was a typically quiet Vermont setting with all the guests obviously locals except for us. We both had coffee which is really good here and our server did an excellent job keeping our cups full. I had eggs Benedict with home fries and bacon & sausage on the side. Everything was delicious. The cook here does an amazing job. My companion ordered pancakes with bacon. I tried them and they were light, fluffy and delicious. Our maple syrup was in a nip bottle from a local farm. Nice touch. We loved it here.

The Maple Leaf Diner is a little hole in the wall diner that I stopped at for lunch. Cheeseburger and disco fries were very good and reasonably priced. This place is as local as you can get so if eating at a little hole in the wall place isn't your thing, then you might want to skip it. This is my favorite kind of place though ... not a chain restaurant but something more authentic to the area. Very small inside but I sat at the counter and it was a fun experience.

We loved this little piece of down home cooking. The service was fast, and incredibly friendly. The food was awesome. Definitely recommend checking it out. We were staying just up the road at Magic Mountain and we're looking for a good breakfast. We found it!

Decent food, nice staff and service. Outdoor seating was nice in the early spring and staff was accommodating.

He didn't tell us the specials but that was fine cause we came back next day for them. Was visiting from for just 2 nights and went here. Not a lot of options in this area. It has a Grateful Dead theme going on so of course I loved it. Special was seafood bisque, which was made with shrimp and lobster. Taste was phenomenal though only tasted chunks of shrimp which was fine. I would get it again and my friend took home a bowl for next day. Highly recommend. I heard their soups are often great. We opted to split the half rack of ribs, they were quite good. Little fat, good taste, I recommend this and would get again if I was again in the mood. Tea was served in a carafe I'd not seen since the 70's which I liked. Day before we got BLT to split and that was great. Fries are skinny, hot and not greasy. Good vibes all around.

While staying in Londonderry we were looking for a place to grab dinner after a day of skiing…read more About the only place open in Londonderry was The New American Grill so we headed over to grab some dinner. NAG is located in the shopping plaza at Routes 11 and 100. The decor is nice, simple and comfortable. The menu is diverse with various ethnic dishes along with the kind of dishes you would expect from an American Grill. My friend ordered the Seoul Food and I ordered a Scallop special. When the food came out both dishes were very nice, however after my first taste of the scallop special I realized that the dish was topped with bacon, which had not been mentioned in the description by the server. The server was very nice about the issue and offered to have the dish remade without the bacon, but I opted instead to get the Pesto Shrimp Alfredo pasta; the kitchen managed to get the new dish out promptly. While the shrimp in the dish were good, I found the sauce to be a bit one note and overly heavy; it really seemed to lack the herbal taste I expected from a pesto dish. While not a bad dish I would not order this again. My friend did enjoy the bulgogi flavored chicken. It seemed most of the guests were enjoying their meal, unfortunately I just seemed to have some bad luck with my meal selections. Hard for me to make a strong recommendation for The New American Grill, but of course your experience may vary.

Our group ordered a bunch of burgers and took heed of some reviewers' warnings-- the burgers are kinda small so you'll want a double or a whole other burger if you're hungry! For me, they were just the right size to satisfy! I got the sLAMBer burger which was SO GOOD, such an amazing mix of flavors that I couldn't stop gushing about how good it was! I heard similar sounds of approval from friends enjoying their burgers (the jam one was really popular in our group). Fries weren't spectacular but when you want fries, a GOOD fry is all you need. Now the honey pie! 3 of us ordered a slice and I think everyone enjoyed it! It's a sweet baked good unlike anything I've really had before and the salt flakes on top help to cut the sweetness. It was a bit too sweet for me to eat on my own in one sitting but I still liked it! I wish they delivered but we didnt mind picking up the order since it was only 6 min away by car! I originally thought the prices were sorta expensive for burgers but honestly not that bad because what you get is so delicious. I'm super interested in trying their 16 oz matcha milkshake... next time!
