As a single young woman, I thought I was being smart by checking the reviews before taking my car to Maple Garage. But taking my Volvo to Maple Garage for a simple oil change may have been the worst mistake of my life. Fifteen miles after driving away from Maple Garage, my car with less than 50,000 miles on it started smoking and the engine locked up. I was naïve and trusted them again, letting them be the first to look at it. They concluded that it was not their fault and tried to charge me several hundred dollars for tests. After consulting with several mechanics and specialists, who all thought it seemed suspicious, I had it inspected by Volvo specialists who told me that my engine was DEAD and need to be replaced due to a bad oil change. I get that mistakes happen, but I feel that what makes a person or company honorable and trustworthy is how they respond. It took 11 days from the day this happened to even get a meeting with the owner despite them knowing that my rental costs were adding up. Worse, at the meeting, they denied liability and even suggested that it could be my fault (because, according to the owner, maybe I got "distracted" and over-revved the engine to the complete destruction of my car). I guess us girls are easily distracted. I have to admit, I left there in tears. I've been without a car for more than three weeks while Maple Garage tried to nickel and dime me and dragged its feet. I will update as my situation unfolds. People need to know the possible consequences of doing business with a company like this. read more

I have been coming to Maple Garage since I moved to Denver 3+ years ago. My experience today was enough to deter me from ever coming back. When I arrived for my scheduled drop off at 8:30am the guy at the front seemed unaware if i was on the schedule or not and kept asking if I made an appointment. I was taking my car on a road-trip a few days later and wanted to get 2 belts repaired that they had previously identified as cracked as well as get a full inspection to make sure I was set for my trip. He told me he would have me out by "lunchtime at the latest." I went to a coffee shop to get some work done and still had not heard anything by 12:15pm. I called to check the status and he (once again) was pretty unaware of the status of my car. He said he thought they might have one belt changed a was pretty sure the oil had been changed, but was waiting on one more belt to arrive. He promised to keep me posted and emphasized he knew I had meetings to attend that afternoon and would get me out ASAP. Once again I headed back to the coffee shop and still had not heard anything come 2:30pm, so I called back to check the status. He asked if I was down the street and told me that by the time I walked back to the shop my car would be finished. When I arrived the same guy (Craig or Greg) kindly let me know that his mechanic had gotten "frustrated" and broke one of my gas lines and that he now needed to replace that, which would take no more than an hour. At this time I had been waiting 6 hours and had been forced to reschedule all of my afternoon meetings. They finally called back at 4:30 and let me know that my car was finished, 8 hours later. When he rang me up (same guy) he charged me the same price he had quoted that morning ($275). I asked about any sort of discount for the additional 5 hours I waited because his tech broke my car and he immediately got defensive and started yelling at me about the various ways he took responsibility for the mistake and the unfair world we live in. He talked over me, interrupted me, yelled at me, and then when another customer came in, he tossed my keys and me and asked me to get out. Seems like some degree of management turmoil currently plaguing the joint. The girl I spoke with on the phone that morning had walked off the job by noon. She seemed so nice. An honest garage in Denver? YES finally! An unfortunate breakdown on a Friday afternoon right before a trip to the mountains. Absolutely nobody would see me including the dealer I purchased the car from. These guys slipped me in , repaired my truck and had me on my way . For fun I called the dealership I purchased the truck from the next week for an estimate. The dealership quoted me $700 more than the repair at Maple. These guys have my buisness for life. After hearing some goods things about these guys I sent my car here since it sounded like a helicopter was under the hood. The wheel bearing was shot and Mike had it fixed in one day for a reasonable price in spite of the labor involved. They are honest and provide pretty good service. The boyfriend loves them so much he has them do all the work on his car and he lives 3 hours from Denver. Send your car here, you won't be disappointed. read more

Meh, for what I paid it was an okay alignment. Paid for a 4 wheel, print out only shows work on front suspension. Took two hours to do what is called a rushed 'toe-and-go' alignment. Even when I walked in noting the camber really needs to be adjusted. Was told 'not able to adjust camber', which is a lie. The struts have bolts to allow adjustment. Just lazy shop, not wanting to do a full service job. If I had paid full price I'd be angry. Toe-and-go's are fast and easy, most people are happy as the car tracks straight again. I guess you get what you pay for. Wouldn't buy groupon again, wouldn't bring car back for any service, especially at full price. To lazy, to slow. They didn't even straighten the steering wheel. Glad I have otherways to fix this sub-par experience. Don't go if you want a good alignment, go if you want an 'okay' one. read more

If your looking to take your Subaru do not come here they blew up my engine. They have the best prices in town but when it comes to knowing what they are doing they rely on books and YouTube videos to fix your car. I went cheap and I got a blown up engine went to another mechanic down the street who informed me that who ever was trying to fix it had no idea what they were doing. Sometimes going cheap is not the best way lost a couple grand. Also found cheap parts they had replaced in my car by the other mechanic. If your looking to keep your car don't come here. read more

Been there the past year and havent missed a single oil change with them.. Today i see it was busier then normal, took about 4 calls the whole morning to finally get help to make an appt which i understand, but eventually the guy was able to take me off hold. It took some time to try to make an appt because i dont work m-f 10-7 and can only make it before my work or during break which i mentioned to the guy... He got fustrated and thought i was playing with him when i couldnt make his opening times.... No, i actually work during thier business hrs and can only make certain times. He also btw scoff at me when i said i couldnt make certain times.... Ended the call by letting him know im going to a different location now. He jus lost a customer. read more

I called ahead of time, made an appointment for 9 a.m. arrived on time and they had my oil changed, my tires rotated and me back on the road in 45 minutes just as they said they would. They are fast, dependable, and they feel really honest and friendly. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PlACE! I took my jeep in to maple garage to get the muffler replaced. I was charged over $300 and was told both the muffler and tailpipe had been replaced which was also confirmed on the receipt. However, after leaving maple garage i noticed that the jeep was still running very loudly and decided to check to see if both had really been replaced. Low and behold, the old tailpipe was still there. When i went back in, they claimed they made a 'mistake' on the receipt and it was never supposed to show that the tailpipe had been replaced. Well, i ended up paying for their 'mistake' and when i went back in to have them replace the tailpipe, they tried to charge me an additional $500 dollars!! As a business, if you realize you've made a mistake the obvious solution would be to replace what you said you already did at no additional charge. Not at maple garage. I was spoken to very unprofessionally and was lied to multiple times. I almost forgot to mention they initially called me and told me they would replace it free of charge and told me it was done and ready to be picked up only to find out when i got there that nothing had been done at all! LIES! The guy even told me he had lied to me and had no explanation for it! This is when they told me it would cost an additional $500. What kind of customer service is this?! When i asked for my money back for not replacing what they said they had, they absolutely refused an treated me horribly. Good service if you can put up with rude employees. Had to schedule a week in advance and costumer service refused to take my Groupon and charged me 60 bucks for a oil change service and to get tires checked. As my car was in the shop I waited in lobby with a disgruntled employee who either ignored me or sighed and glared at me in annoyance. I would highly recommend taking your car to Maple Garage! I live a few blocks away from this shop and based off of yelp reviews I decided to check them out. SO HAPPY I DID! They always seem so honest and don't try to scam you. Their website had a special for a $25 oil change and tire rotation so I have done that a few times (what a deal!). Each time they changed my oil they talked to me about the status of my car and just gave me a heads up of repairs that might need to checked out in the future, but no pressure to pay or do anything right away. I have also taken my car to Maple for estimates or issues with my car and they take the time to explain what's going and relate to you on a different level than most other auto shops I've been to. Dealing with car problems is never fun, but Maple has staff that I can trust to get the problems solved efficiently and correctly. read more

I discovered this shop through Groupon. The customer service was excellent and the team did a great job on a standard oil change for my Subaru. I also had a tail light out that they replaced at no extra cost as well as helped me install some windshield wipers I had purchased from a different store. Without the Groupon, the oil change price would have been comparable to a dealership (about $80), which tells me their regular prices are reasonable, (especially for being downtown). With the customer service and products they use, I would say they are worth the regular price. It's great to find a locally-owned place you can trust. read more

Chose Maple Garage for an oil change and cabin air filter change after seeing reviews on Yelp. The oil change was quick, but they took a while to find the part/replace the cabin air filter. I arrived at 9:30am (with an appointment) and didn't leave until 12:30pm - 3 hours total of waiting. If I had to work that day, this wait time would not have been feasible. The other issue that drops this review to 3 stars -- the mechanic must have had oil/dirt on his hand when he was in my car because I found a small stain on my cloth passenger seat after my visit. (My guess is that he put his hand on the seat when pushing the passenger seat back to clean the floor.) The prices and customer service were wonderful, though, and for those, I may return for my next oil change. If I have other issues, I may consider a different place or dropping my car off to avoid waiting a long time again. I took my recently purchased used car to Maple Garage on a Groupon deal, which included; oil change, battery check, tire rotation, fluid top off, visual break inspection, check-engine light computer scan, 46-point courtesy inspection, and 10% off parts and labor for maintenance and repairs on the next visit, which I used. I knew that the car would probably need additional work after they were done inspecting the vehicle. The men that work at this shop are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to get an appointment a few days after my inspection, which was important, as I was about to move out of state and needed to make sure the issues were fixed. The mechanics didn't push anything on me, only mentioned what certainly needed to be repaired and what could wait. I found the cost to be really reasonable. Fast, efficient, and friendly. We used a Groupon for an oil change, tire rotation, and 26-poin inspection. The staff informed us of an issue with our transmission cooling line and even showed us the damage. They provided us with a free estimate, which seemed pretty steep for a minor leak. The Groupon itself was well worth the cost, but we opted to have our repairs done elsewhere. read more

Initially I went to Maple garage for an oil change. The value was great so was the customer service and speed of service. I liked that they were very honest about the services needed. Unfortunately, a few days later my check engine oil light started to activate when I would accelerate and slow down and my oil levels were dropping quickly. I began to get very worried because my car is about 2 years old. I took my car back in and a cap was left off. The technicians fixed my vehicle for free but the matter was simply brushed off despite the potential damage it could have cause to my engine. I received a very basic explanation of what happened and if I didn't have the good sense to take my car back in, my engine could have been ruined. I believe in the phrase "do it once, do it right". Maple garage didn't get it right this time and I will think twice about going back read more
