There's always a wide variety of products here with very fair prices. My wife and I regularly donate our gently-used clothes here; there's a bin right by the entrance for quick drop-off. Inside it's a decently-sized space with clothes of course, but also kitchenware, board games, records, and all sorts of random things. The people who work here are all friendly and helpful as well. My wife and I come here to support the community often.

I asked, "So if it fails on day 11, that's okay?" but received no satisfactory answer. They also insisted, "This is a cheap store - items could break like that," and declared the item non‑refundable, refusing even a store credit. I expressed my disappointment, but was told there was nothing they could do. I stand by their 14‑day return policy and feel this was a clear case of a defective product - one not designed to last - not a matter of changing my mind. Getting no refund or credit after just one day of use is unacceptable. I won't be using their services again, and caution others to think twice before purchasing from this store.

Wide selection at varying prices--some funky stuff, some vintage, some modern, some houseware. The day I went (in February) they were having an insane $1 sale on blue tags. A lot of stuff was more than half off and dirt cheap. Good thing I only found this out when I got to the register because I would have probably left with too many things I did not need. I scored two cute basics for a total of two whopping dollars! They've got fitting rooms and friendly staff and new inventory frequently it seems. Would venture out to Life Boutique Thrift again!

Love Your Furniture Again Antiques is my favourite new curio shop. Located in the working class…read moresection of Staten Island's North Shore known as Stapleton - 638 Bay Street, very near the Stapleton Station train stop and not far from the Ferry - the price range is "From two dollars and up," according to the manager. They have great hours too - well suited for working people. Closed on Tuesdays, they are open 11 am to 8 pm on weekdays and from 11 to 6 on weekends. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the items for sale are just terrific. If you want a true antique that is unique and in great shape you may pay a couple of hundred dollars but not thousands. This is not a thrift store and yet it is affordable. What caught my eye were the two very large animals in the window display. Prior to the store opening I shot a photo of the window display, focusing on one of the creatures - this image was a very popular item on flickr. My photo wound up in the "In Explore" group which is a highly sought after honour. I generally get from 200-300 hits on an image and 8-10 favourites - the window display from Love Your Furniture got over 5400 hits and 67 faves. What was the item? A large, pink, jewel encrusted, bird or mammal of some sort. When the store opened I ventured in to see what the creature was - it, and the jewel encrusted golden giraffe that graces the other side of the window display, was apparently part of a carousel at one time. This truly unique item and many more diminutive but equally interesting items await the visitor at this gem of a store. In addition to antiques the store features handmade items by Yana, one of the owners - one such item is a gorgeous decoupage end table. If you are on the Island to check out our great street art - and Stapleton is the epicenter of this activity - stop by Love Your Furniture Again Antiques. I found some really cute dresses and jeans here. The only reasons why it's not 5 stars for me is because some of the clothes you may need to inspect very carefully as they may have a small stain or a small tear but most of them are in really good condition. And although the clothes are all neatly on racks, they are not organized by size so you'll have to really sift through everything. All in all, I'm definitely a fan! As soon as we walked in, I felt like we were not welcome there. We made our way to the counter while receiving death glares from the guy behind the counter and several people who were talking with him. I then asked him nicely if the store accepted donations but before I could finish my sentence, I was cut off with a sharp "No we do not" with a sharp tone, and an attitude. He literally had his nose turned up at me like I was beneath him and/or trying to dump garbage in his store. Won't be going there again!

I researched where to go to get my batteries replaced here in Bay Ridge and found nice reviews for Global. I brought two watches to start with to ensure good battery replacement. I met with Elad who quickly repaired the batteries at reasonable cost. Additionally, I returned to sell some gold pieces that didn't fit and some I just don't wear and again was given great prices for selling. Global also sells jewelry such as some Tiffany pieces and other lovely gems. It's nice to know that there is a trusted local jeweler who can assist me with repairs, selling, etc. Elad is very professional and trustworthy. I highly recommend Global Gold and Silver.
