I'm not alternative myself, but I wanted to check out some local shops in the East Village. Trash…read more& Vaudeville sells mainly punk, goth, and alternative clothes (think huge bell bottom pants with safety pins and chains). I was also impressed with their band shirts. Lots of Blondie, Bowie, The Clash, The Ramones, etc. Large downstairs selection of sale items and shoes. Staff were laid back, but made themselves available if I needed anything. I was reading how some well known punk bands used to shop here in the 70s and how they were one of the first to stock Doc Martens. A nice nostalgic walk down memory lane, with the LES and East Village used to be real PUNK.

My Queen and I stopped in during our "U&ME N' NYC" weekend, and the experience was pure magic. She's a tall woman, and when she steps into her heels, she elevates not only her height but her entire presence. I love matching her altitude -- walking beside her eye-to-eye with confidence and style. Thanks to Trash & Vaudeville, I found the perfect way to rise with her: a pair of Underground/T.U.K. black suede platform creepers with that classic bold sole. These shoes don't just look incredible -- they give me the lift to match her elegance, her stride, her spirit. This is the first of many ways I'll create comfort at any altitude with my Queen. And let me say this: rockabilly isn't just nostalgia -- it's rising again, underground style pushing back to the forefront. These creepers are part of that revival, and Trash & Vaudeville is still the epicenter of the scene. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out with that iconic pink bag, we felt welcomed, seen, and styled with soul. If you want fashion with history, heartbeat, and edge -- Trash & Vaudeville is the place. We'll be back. Because once you find your tribe, you return to them.
