This is such a special store, tiny but carefully curated with truly unique vintage pieces. The owner's incredible taste is evident from the selection. After combing through so many thrift stores that call themselves "vintage shops" chock full of ugly 1980's dresses, this is by far my favorite TRUE vintage clothing store in NYC. Lots of beautiful pieces from the 1930's-1960's. I was especially impressed with the hats!! The prices are reasonable for how unique the pieces are, so don't expect to pay Goodwill prices. But for the right buyer, these items are a steal! read more

Store was super cluttered and in my opinion didn't have anything particularly interesting. That's just my style though.

What a gem of a place. I bought a hat from here that I really enjoyed. Lots of interesting finds and fun to browse. The owner is also nice. read more

Great shop with tons of gems, just like the owner, Delanee. Beautiful sweetie lady. Fair prices on true vintage items.

Horribly aggressive and very rude shop owner. Strange behavior upon us entering and it left us feeling trapped, uneasy, and confused.

Full of interesting pieces, and vintage designer brands at a fair price. The owner was very lovely as well. Excited to go back!

Many nice pieces in good condition. The owner's warmth and enthusiasm made browsing through their vintage treasures a delight. Their engaging demeanor and passion for vintage fashion truly shone through. A must-visit for anyone seeking a unique shopping adventure read more

The owner of this store was SO rude. We didn't realize the store was closed because her gate was open. When before it was locked completely. We simply opened the door and asked "Hi, i'm sorry. Are you open?" Which she just stood there and gave us a nasty look and continued to say how "perplexed" she was. Then told us to come in and STILL continued to be extremely aggressive and accused us of thinking she's crazy and that we would report her. she then did the EXACT same thing to another girl who tried to enter. I'm sorry we didn't see you were closed you could've just said you were closed instead of being unprofessional and rude. read more

Really cool find in the neighborhood. Nice collection of vintage high fashion and commercial to costume jewelry with a cool personable owner who is open to haggling. I came here to chat and for handbags but left with a cushion that my dog will take over. read more

Cobblestones - Vision of comfort - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - New York, New York

Stepping into cobblestones is like opening a vault of museum worthy garments. The women who runs the shop is very straightforward, and a straight shooter. She's very nice and will genuinely tell you what looks good on you and what doesn't. I love buying hats here! I've purchased a few staple pieces in my wardrobe from cobblestones as well! If you're looking to level up your wardrobe this would be the place to check out! Prices vary and are reasonable. read more

Had a wonderful experience in here today. The owner and her friend (employee?) both helped me decide on a clutch and were very friendly and genuinely helpful. In a crowded shop filled with people and amazing, one of a kind items, I watched the owner help every single customer and her attitude made it an approachable store. I can't wait to go back! I didn't have the time today that I wanted to look in every stack and corner at all the gems. read more

This place is the ultimate. I mean, the mecca, of vintage. Most people walk in, get intimidated by the amount of stuff in a small space and walk out. Huge mistake. If you can overcome the clutter, then you will truly be able to appreciate the glory of Cobblestones. This store is like walking into your grandmother's closet. Your grandmother who never threw anything away. Ever. It's so much fun to dig through the racks and find the most amazing treasures. You definitely need a good eye, a little bit of patience and some time on your hands, but it is so worth it. I've bought shoes here, I've bought dresses, I've bought jewelry and accessories. I almost bought a tiara, and actually, I am probably going back for that one. I would have bought a jumpsuit from the 80's with sparkles on the shoulders, except my long torso just doesn't seem to work with jumpsuits. Tragic, I know. In addition to the amazing array of pieces, the owner is awesome. She always plays music from back in the day, and sings along loudly. She is so friendly and is always reasonable about knocking a little off the price if something is stained or slightly damaged. And the prices overall are better than most vintage stores I've come across in the village. If you do go, go alone so you can better focus your search and not be distracted by impatient friends. Also, the store's not that big and it's better when you have more room to yourself. Once you get in that vintage zone, don't be surprised if the whole day goes by and you still haven't left the store. Every time I try to leave, I find something else I've got to have. This time it was metallic, rainbow strappy sandals from the 70's. So choice. read more

This vintage store is great mainly for accessories--I'm talking shoes (lots, in particular boots), bags, wallets, belts, jewerly, hats, scarves, etc etc. There are clothes, yes, but nothing outstanding in terms of appearance. There is a TON in this store, and I tried as hard as I could to look in every nook and cranny. The owner (i think) was really nice and engaged you without being overbearing or watching your every move. The prices are decent too, considering what vintage goes for in the cities these days. I didn't see anything in the hundreds unless I missed it. Even a nice, heavy wool coat was only $60. It's one of those stores where you're going to want to cover everything but still might end up missing something. P.S. I almost fell coming out of the store because I didn't see that the step dropped down! read more

New favorite store. SO many vintage hats and the owner is incredibly sweet. I recently have taken to old hats- think 1930/40's- the selection is not only extensive, but the choices.. Let's say I want them all!! Can't wait to frequent this store. Thank you!! read more

I want EVERYTHING in this store. I bought a purse that was exactly what I was looking for, like it had been waiting for me all along. I would've bought about 3 other things, too, if I just had more money with me! Not so sure about clothes, as the fitting room is so very tiny, but definitely a godsend for accessories! The owner was great. She'd see me looking at something and point me to other items I would like that I had just walked past. And I did like them! There are hats and belts and purses and sweaters everywhere just stacked on top of each other; it's easy to miss something wonderful, so leave no stone unturned! It seems like everything was handpicked for the store and is just lovely. I wouldn't classify anything in this store as a "rag" or as "junk" like in many poorer-quality stores. I will definitely be back soon, though I might have to procure more closet space! read more

I've been living in this neighborhood for close to 30 years, and I've known Delani, the proprietor of this store, for at least that long. I used to work for a jeweler on 2nd avenue, and he remarked what a great retailer she is. And she is: several years ago I walked in, asked if she had a tin lunchbox, and the following day she presented me with a Battlestar Galactica one from the 70s. (Don't be fooled by the clutter!) Delani is all about the neighborhood: knows me, knows my dog, and always stops to chat on the street. She's a great retailer and a great friend. read more

This is where you go when you have to get someone a purse! Awesome deals on handbags and accessories. This place is crammed with stuff, so you have to prepare yourself to dig. Not quite the place to go for clothing. Not many shoes for the size 8 and up, but adorable shoes to look at. There are also cute knick-knacks to decorate your windowsills with. I bought a turquoise and plum color suitcase from the '60s for $15. Tell me that isn't a steal. p.s. the owner rules! read more

Delani is a gem in the Vintage clothing world. Been shopping here for over a decade! One of my fave East Village jaunts!

The owner is the cutest and friendliest person. Also the store has the greatest selection of true vintage clothes for fair prices. Love it!

I bought the most gorgeous little vintage swimsuit here yesterday and it was the nicest surprise. I didn't originally see this place on Yelp so I don't know how popular it is, but I would recommend it. The stuff they have is sort of pricey but I would say worth it. You'll never really know what you'll find either because the shop itself is almost too small to hold everything in it. It's a bit disorganized and the dressing room is smaller than you could imagine but it's a great place for vintage finds. read more

Cobblestones - Swimsuit made in Honolulu, tag said $100 I paid $75 - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - New York, New York

I absolutely fell in love with this store and its proprietor, Delanee. Cobblestones is a treasure trove of classy, beautiful things in great condition. Left with a gorgeous St John spring coat and a couple other gorgeous pieces. My new favorite vintage establishment in NY! read more

What a unique place!!! You step in.. it feels like you are traveling in a time machine back to 1960s 70s 80s.. this is the real vintage deal.. I personally don't buy vintage but I was fascinated by all the sections they have. Definitely one of the kind store in East Village.. if you are big fan of 60s 70s or 80s style.. stop by here.. you won't be disappointed.. even you are not a vintage clothes fan.. it's kind unique experience to shop here. read more

A great place to go vintage shopping. It's not extremely pricey like many other vintage stores, and it has a large selection of items in a little store. The lady was also very nice, idk her name. but she occasionally would burst out in song to the radio. At first it was a little weird but you get used to it after awhile. Saw a great wool coat for only 40 bucks. But didn't buy it because I have about 5 wool coats at home. read more

Bought the most beautiful cashmere sweater here yesterday. The owner was so sweet and has such an incredible selection in her store. Not one to regularly write reviews but felt I had to for this gem of a thrift store. read more

I like going to this thrift shop to see lots in interesting things. One time, I bought myself an old hand puppet of Pluto.

Cobblestones is not just a store, but an experience. An unique collection of one of kind handbags dresses and shoes, all in great condition and priced to sell! The owner, Delanee warmly welcomes all with her great personality and style. Stop by, see the collection and enjoy the uplifting tunes from the 30's and 40's read more

Cobblestones - Cobblestones hats. - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - New York, New York

Vintage fans... Stop and read. This is the place for you. Cobblestones provides its shoppers with looks and accesories from the '40s to the '70s. The selection of cowboy to rain boots is vast, as are the one-of-kind dresses and skirts. I found an awesome beaded evening bag from the '50s, as well as a vintage silver brooch that I'm constantly wearing. Everything is super well preserved in this tiny overflowing store. Hard to find pieces are here waiting for your credit card. All you need to do is stop by. read more

One of the better vintage stores around. They have such a huge selection that you will likely find a ton of things you just need to have. Also, I've noticed alot of lower end vintage stores in the city have that terrible smell to them. Don't worry, you won't find that here. Only quality clothing that is in like-new condition. read more

Cobblestones is one of the better vintage stores in EV. The vibe here is really intimate and is no doubt furthered along by the owner's bursts-into-songs, and the perfect hat/purse/pair of shoe is waiting for you here with a big neon sign that has your name written all over it. Seriously worth the dig and many "excuse-mes" throughout the store. read more

A great vintage shop that has withstood the test of time (just ask the owner about her many conquests with the landlord and increasing rent). I'm so glad she and the store are going strong. She has a very nicely selected array of vintage clothing. The hats...wonderful. The shoes/boots...awesome. The clothing...can't be beat. She prices things fairly (even under prices, I think). Take your time. Look at everything and enjoy the owner's singing while you browse! read more

A long standing east village vintage store with some great vintage clothes. As with any vintage store, it's hit or miss, and pretty disorganized, but the owner seemed to know where things were. I scored a beautiful pair of suede gloves from the 40s (likely). It's a fun place to look around and possibly pick up some treasures. read more

Delanie is a superb retailer and person. She really helped my family out a couple of years ago, dealing with my mother-in-law's clothing and accessories. She was honest too, letting us know some bracelets were more valuable than we realized. Her store is beautifully put together. read more

I've been to many vintage shops in NYC and only a few of them are actually worth visiting. Some smell really funky, some are just dusty, and many others offer very tacky items. Cobblestones is a welcome sight in terms of vintage shops. The smell and dust factor is low (virtually nonexistent), and the selection is really very diverse. There are great finds here. I love their dress selection. read more

If you like granny-chic vintage, this is totally for you! Stopped by here in hopes of searching for that cross-shoulder purse for nights. I was mostly focused on accessories so only took a cursory glance over the clothing and shoe selections-- can't tell you much. The purses/handbags are what struck me the most: shelves and shelves of awesome and unique vintage pieces. My only dismay was being so vertically challenged that I could not possibly reach the upper shelves without an extra hand and a step-ladder, let alone crane my neck that far up and back to even eye the pieces! T.T Fortunately, the nice lady that owns the shop is very sweet and ready to assist. A lot of the purses are very classy and simple with the occasional beaded, chain-mailed, or sequin-bedazzled glory. Some shoppers might be daunted by the clutter or unimpressed, but take a second look. It's all deliberately placed clutter, in an artsy way. You really have to be ready to crouch down into those spaces and sort through the stacks or take down those pieces and have it in your hand to give a good look-over. read more

Love this shop. My daughter and I are into the hats. Never feel like I have to buy, but often find special, out-of-the-ordinary things.

Step back in time to 1970s NYC, when rents were cheap and independent thrift shops abounded. Carefully curated sunglasses, scarves, coats, and a vast collection of hats and tiny vintage shoes and purses of all shapes and sizes. The owner is very sweet and helpful. read more

I love this store. This place is a hidden gem in East Village where vintage lovers must stop by. After some major digging, I found this gorgeous, gold mesh vintage Whiting and Davis clutch. Wow, that was love at first sight. I also bought a beautiful black mini handbag that looks like a doctor's bag and have been getting so many compliments from everybody. Cobblestone has truly unique, fun, and classy pieces and Delani, the owner, is such a sweet lady. She could give you a discount if an item is a little pricey. read more

This place is really vintage, like the 60s vintage style. Tons of stuff to choose from. I got a real leather clutch and checked scarf. They are a little expensive than I expected but still a good find. read more

I was looking for small vintage shoes and was sent here...YAY! There are lots of shoes in a wide range of sizes, she has size four, she has size eleven, and not just one pair of each. If you are a size five of six you will be a very happy shoe shopper here. There are t-straps, clogs, boots, raffia sandals with carved heels, and a pair of super glamorous heeled house slippers! The owner is great (a super nice native New Yorker who has run the shop for 34 years) and helped me find so many shoes to fit my little feet that I couldn't take them all home. The prices are reasonable, not everything is in perfect condition, but there are lots of treasures to be found. There is a trend in vintage stores these days where you find a super small, highly curated selection of very expensive things, the stock may all be nearly perfect, but there is no digging, no thrill of discovery, and not any deals to be had. Those stores may be great for special occasion stuff, but some of the fun is missing for me... Cobblestones is not that kind of vintage store, and I LOVE it. read more
