As a thrift store for females: 4 Stars
As a thrift store for males: 0 Star
(1) OVERVIEW: Le Point Value is one of about half dozen of thrift stores in the area (between Flashing Ave subway station and Morgan subway station) in East Williamsburg (Bushwick) area of Brooklyn, New York. This is one of the 3 Le Point Value thrift chain stores in Brooklyn as of today December 2018. This is a spacious, fairy clean, very discounted priced thrift store with spacious basement floor. This is also a very good place to stop by when you visit the Urban Jungle thrift store, which is right on the same block. I may use the word "second hand store" BUT would NOT use the words such as "vintage store" or "antique store" for this establishment due to the very natures of the merchandises they sell here.
(2) MERCHANDISES: The focus of this discounted thrift shop is the women's clothing, bags and shoes. In fact, almost every floor space on the both floors are used for the merchandises for females. If you are a female, this is a kind of store, where you really want to explore and spend time with or without your like-minded friends, chanting "I shop therefore I am" (Barbara Cruger. LOL) to go though each section one by one.
This thrift store really does NOT sell any furniture, kitchen items, or living room items at all at this location.
The qualities of the items here are all fare, fine, and good. The merchandises are the combination of the second hand goods ("gentle used goods") and the brand new cheap ones ("thrifty goods", probably acquired from the discount stores, that closed during the miserable Bush-Clinton-Obama Economic Recession Era.) You can start wearing or using them without any repairs or touch ups (or multiple gentle hand washings). Some of these merchandises are insanely cheap (cheaper than the same goods with the discounted sales price tags even found at the Chinatown).
The merchandises here at Le Point Value are G Rated; for the general audience. These are never intended specifically for the yappies or hipsters with the thick wallet for the today's trendy newly-manufactured vintage-looking clothing LOL). (These people do NOT like the real vintage clothing because they do NOT want to bother repairing, maintaining, or upgrading/enhancing them, unlike the real lovers of the real vintage clothing. LOL In this sense, the fashion and the style are completely different things, when it comes to the vintage clothing, physically speaking. I am NOT saying one is better than the other here. I am just stating the fact, based on what I observed as a fashion designer, who designs, produce, and wear my one-of-a-kind custom order made formal & ceremonial very special, beautiful & gorgeous jackets. I wore them regularly for my numerous TV shows, fine art exhibitions & events, and formal public fine art performances for many decades.
Le Point Value also sells brand new socks, that is so convenient to bring it to the cashier with your newly purchased goods here. The counter lady was very friendly and informative. (She also kindly took photos of me and Seara here as I have posted here.)
(3) WOMEN'S STORE: As stated above, the main merchandises of Le Point Value are for female customers. In fact, men's section here is extremely tiny and truly insignificant, physically speaking. Understandably, I could not find what I was looking for here at all, unfortunately. (I always carry around a long shipping list. It includes dozens of the names of the upscale and my favorite necktie companies and the business suits companies.) For this specific reason, I will not visit this store again. I can only give Zero star for the merchandises for the male shoppers.
