Le Point Value is the kind of thrifstore that is not pretending to be a hipster go to spot. You won't be finding the latest labels rack or anything too exciting, UNLESS...you go the route of a true thrifter. A true thrifter does not expect the work to be done for them. Quite the contrary, the true thrifter enjoys the hunt for the bargain kill. I always peek into this shop because I have managed to escape with some super cute items. The space is large and there is even a basement. I never head to the basement. My game plan is the front racks, the accessories at the front of the store and by the register and the dresses all the way in the back. This is not a store for the impatient. You have to spend some time digging through some cheaply made items. I have found a super cool white, skulled with chain belt $6, a bookish British-like plaid book bag for $8 and a recent favorite was a modern floral patterned dress reminiscent of my love for D&G. People at work had dropped jaws when I mentioned that I only paid $8 for this little number. I love fashion but a good deal for fashion can't be beat!

Name brand sneakers thats only reserved for one person at Le Point on White Plains Rd.

Very good thrift store but the staff here saves all brand sneakers for special customers. Every Tuesday and Thursday its a guaranteed if you visit the store on White Plains Rd in the Bronx, you will see the same cashier and this one lady who leaves with two or three trash bag of sneakers or shoes. Today I couldn't hold it because the staff took her to the "NO ACCESS" store room to pack her carts with over 50 pairs of sneakers. To make it worst, she didnt have enough cash to pay and the staff gave her the ok to leave and come back. This is crazy! I hope the owner sees this as other people who really loves and enjoys this store are limited to what they can buy.

Let's get to Le Point. I thrift, therefore I am. Im a connoisseur of used and vintage clothes. I love it, it's an addiction and Im the first to admit and accept it. Every thrift store has it's nitch and this one, like most leans towards more woman's clothing then men's and it also, I will say, try's to sneak in new 'crap' clothes amongst the used goods in hopes you'll purchase. The best part of Le Point is the price point... soooooo cheap. I bought a brand new Levi's denim jacket with tags for $6, A vintage, high quality black leather motorcycle jacket for $10. They also sell brand new socks and undies... which not only does everyone always need (we don't want those used!) Put this place on "The List"

With an already generous 1.8 average rating, I naively assumed the bar couldn't possibly be as low as advertised. After sifting through hundreds of dusty pieces of "art", and I use that term with charity, I found myself staring at a selection that included high school diplomas, finger paintings, and several canvases that seemed to have lost a fight with both mold and a Sharpie. It's unclear whether these pieces were abandoned, donated, or simply left on the curb and swept inside, but the result is the same: a museum of mediocrity, priced like MoMA's gift shop. Finally, after unearthing a painting that at least had the decency to resemble actual decor, I politely offered the cashier $20 cash for an item marked $29.99. This is where the experience somehow managed to get worse. She refused outright- not even a token pause to feign consideration- then snatched the painting out of my hands with the kind of hostility usually reserved for airport security confiscating contraband. Her tone could best be described as performatively rude as though she'd been waiting all day for the chance to unleash it on someone. If you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience while shopping for discarded student art at boutique prices, this is your paradise.

The pricing is quite fair. The staff are doing research. As a buyer, you'll pay as much as or slightly less than what is being sold on Poshmark or Depop in my opinion. Sometimes you'll get lucky and a limited piece will be priced at what similar items for that brand would be priced ... and that's the thrill of it all. Great quality items that you get to try on and feel. A lot of new with tag items.

I was actually on my way to Beacon's Closet when I took a wrong turn and boom!--Buffalo Exchange appeared right in front of me. I figured, why not check it out since I'd never been to this one before? This location is definitely on the smaller side, but don't let that fool you--you'll find some beautiful pieces here. The staff is absolutely amazing: super friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and best of all, honest. And when I say honest, I mean it. They're very upfront about how low the company's buying percentages are. So if you think you're getting $900 for your $1,400 Balenciaga sneakers, you're sadly mistaken--but they'll tell you exactly what they can offer and even suggest other stores that might better fit your item's value. That kind of integrity and transparency means everything to me. It shows they genuinely care about you and your items. I've already visited twice, and I can confidently say this little Williamsburg shop is hands down the best Buffalo Exchange location. Chelsea and NoHo should definitely come take notes--this is the kind of service every location should strive for. Buffalo Exchange corporate: if every store had this same energy and approach, your brand would truly skyrocket. Thank you, Williamsburg Buffalo Exchange team, for making both of my visits such a great experience. I'll be back in a few days--keep up the amazing work!

Does everyone shop with rubber gloves on in these stores? I don't like the funk that a lot of thrift stores have either. HOWEVER I'm fully on board with not shopping fast fashion and buying second hand being a better alternative, so I'm trying to find a happy medium. At least Monk feels curated such that I don't feel like I have to dig too much before I find something cute. And I saw several cute items at this store. Yes, I usually do spend like $40+ on an item from here but that's less than I'd spend on a new item. I found a gorgeous mesh and beaded dress and a silk skirt that I still cherish from here. You may have to come back regularly to get lucky and find something you like, but I think they have a pretty wide selection of items. Lately I've opted to mostly rent my clothes so I still get the experience of having new clothes without buying new fast fashion but during the occasional thrift sojourn I'll stop in here to browse.
