They had a really awesome selection of vintage tshirts. They also had a bunch of really cute skirts. My friend got some new doc martens there that were so cute. The girl who helped get her size was super nice and checked in to see how she was liking them. I would definitely recommend checking this place out, but be sure to go in with the mindset that it is curated vintage and not thrifting as far as the pricing is concerned. They know what their stuff is worth and charge that.

I heard her insulting customers in general the entire time I was perusing the store. I had stood there like 3 seconds maybe and she also had the gall to be like you can move or be difficult elsewhere....after i had already moved? I asserted the worker didnt actually say i was even in his way and shes like isnt it implied when he said "they werent priced".... no? I thought he meant they werent for sale? With an already generous 1.8 average rating, I naively assumed the bar couldn't possibly be as low as advertised. After sifting through hundreds of dusty pieces of "art", and I use that term with charity, I found myself staring at a selection that included high school diplomas, finger paintings, and several canvases that seemed to have lost a fight with both mold and a Sharpie. It's unclear whether these pieces were abandoned, donated, or simply left on the curb and swept inside, but the result is the same: a museum of mediocrity, priced like MoMA's gift shop. Finally, after unearthing a painting that at least had the decency to resemble actual decor, I politely offered the cashier $20 cash for an item marked $29.99. This is where the experience somehow managed to get worse. She refused outright- not even a token pause to feign consideration- then snatched the painting out of my hands with the kind of hostility usually reserved for airport security confiscating contraband. Her tone could best be described as performatively rude as though she'd been waiting all day for the chance to unleash it on someone. If you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience while shopping for discarded student art at boutique prices, this is your paradise.

The best buffalo exchange. I used to live in Williamsburg and would frequent this location often…read more This week I stopped by while on vacation and scored some gems. The pricing is quite fair. The staff are doing research. As a buyer, you'll pay as much as or slightly less than what is being sold on Poshmark or Depop in my opinion. Sometimes you'll get lucky and a limited piece will be priced at what similar items for that brand would be priced ... and that's the thrill of it all. Great quality items that you get to try on and feel. A lot of new with tag items.

I was actually on my way to Beacon's Closet when I took a wrong turn and boom!--Buffalo Exchange appeared right in front of me. I figured, why not check it out since I'd never been to this one before? This location is definitely on the smaller side, but don't let that fool you--you'll find some beautiful pieces here. The staff is absolutely amazing: super friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and best of all, honest. And when I say honest, I mean it. They're very upfront about how low the company's buying percentages are. So if you think you're getting $900 for your $1,400 Balenciaga sneakers, you're sadly mistaken--but they'll tell you exactly what they can offer and even suggest other stores that might better fit your item's value. That kind of integrity and transparency means everything to me. It shows they genuinely care about you and your items. I've already visited twice, and I can confidently say this little Williamsburg shop is hands down the best Buffalo Exchange location. Chelsea and NoHo should definitely come take notes--this is the kind of service every location should strive for. Buffalo Exchange corporate: if every store had this same energy and approach, your brand would truly skyrocket. Thank you, Williamsburg Buffalo Exchange team, for making both of my visits such a great experience. I'll be back in a few days--keep up the amazing work!

This is also a rather sizable location which is about the size of a Trader Joe's! Thrifting is a big cultural trend in Brooklyn, and Beacon's Closet here is a formidable choice to do so amongst other stores.i was able to find two winter coats here and was happy with my selection. Thrifting definitely takes time and you have to have the energy to do so in order to dig through racks. However, the prices of thrifting and consignment stores have unfortunately gone up, so I give Beacon's Closet a solid 3.5 stars.

It was very busy so I guess other people like it but I don't consider this to be real thrifting. This is a curated vintage store and you pay the price for it.

In the pictures shown I got the white kitten, the flower one, the valentine bunny one, and this candy hipper. (The rhino and Lamb are real and i bought them in Newbury Comics) You can clearly see how they are fakes. It's ridiculous as two sonny's were $32.66. Not once did the girl (cashier) mention that they were fake, i even asked her how often she gets shipment and if they sold them at their actual store in Brooklyn. (i purchased these at their booth in Bryant Park) She even stated that they bring all the good blind boxes to the booth and how it's best to purchase them now rather than later. At least Monk feels curated such that I don't feel like I have to dig too much before I find something cute. And I saw several cute items at this store. Yes, I usually do spend like $40+ on an item from here but that's less than I'd spend on a new item. I found a gorgeous mesh and beaded dress and a silk skirt that I still cherish from here.
