Shoes are lined along the racks underneath, and as you get further back into the store, you'll find an array of trinkets and accessories like no other, as well as one changing area shielded by a curtain. The staff here is great! Every time I've stopped by, they've made it a point to answer all my questions and assist me without hesitation. The last time I was there, I met the owner, who is such a gem! She was so excited to hear about why I was shopping and to share The history of some of the items I was interested in. She is also a metal smith and helped me select a silver necklace that said AG (get it? Like silver on the table of elements?!) for my friend who had those initials and let me try on so many items before I selected a super cozy hot pink hoodie. You can definitely find some deals here, but I will say the majority of the items are a bit on the pricier side, given the nature of how they were selected by the owner during her travels. Every time I'm in the neighborhood, I make it a point to stop by and say hi and check out what they have to offer.

They know how to curate all the best, pricey, fun items around (Moschino for example)! I was obsessed with some of the pieces this recent weekend. The only draw back is that the sizes can run small with certain items. The house wares, I adore! The bright colors really bring joy to my day. I loved the multi colored tiki glasses, the vintage pie pans, The Jon Burgerman plates are absolutely fantastic and there are some very tempting purse and shoes. And as I mentioned, it's a luck of the draw if it's your size. It's usually pretty calm when I come in. You do need to buzz the door. And the people working are always willing to assist in anyway. I have purchased ten to twelve pieces from the store and always get compliments whenever I wear one of Kourbella's truly exquisite designs. I have met the owner of the store, as well as a couple different salesgirls, and have found all of them kind, courteous and eager to assist. Wide selection at varying prices--some funky stuff, some vintage, some modern, some houseware. The day I went (in February) they were having an insane $1 sale on blue tags. A lot of stuff was more than half off and dirt cheap. Good thing I only found this out when I got to the register because I would have probably left with too many things I did not need. I scored two cute basics for a total of two whopping dollars! They've got fitting rooms and friendly staff and new inventory frequently it seems. Would venture out to Life Boutique Thrift again!

Not great, I said but I mentioned that I had grabbed the biggest sizes out on the racks so it was no worries - I didn't need further assistance. Yeah, she said, our biggest size we carry is an 8. For reference, i'm anywhere from an 8-14 (depends on dresses, pants, etc. and sizing in the US isn't standardized at all). Needless to say, I won't be coming back here 1. because I guess they don't carry any clothes that would fit my body and 2. I don't support elitist businesses that choose to encourage unrealistic standards of beauty on regular people.
