His knowledge for training the body, proper form, and nutrition far surpasses any trainer I have come across! In addition, Canyon has helped me nurse a couple of injuries (not from lifting) back to normal and stronger than before. As a 46 year old, I can not do what I did when I was in my 20s and Canyon has also taught me how to still lift and be productive and stay healthy as I age. He is hands down the best I have come across!

I signed up for Crunch while visiting California after seeing the big "$38 per month" advertising,…read morewhich strongly suggests a simple month-to-month membership. What is not clearly advertised is that canceling later can cost nearly $100. When I tried to cancel, I was charged: a full final month, an annual fee, and a processing fee Totaling almost $100 just to cancel a $38 membership. Yes, this is technically written somewhere deep inside a long, lawyer-crafted contract - but it is not clearly or prominently disclosed at signup. For a low-cost gym membership, expecting customers to thoroughly analyze pages of legal fine print is unrealistic. This feels intentionally designed to trap people rather than inform them. I spoke directly with the gym and asked for any courtesy adjustment. They refused outright, with zero willingness to be flexible or human about the situation - even after explaining that the nearest Crunch to where I actually live is over an hour away. After researching online, I found many similar experiences from other members, which suggests this is not an isolated misunderstanding but a pattern. The gym itself is fine but super packed leaving you looking for a machine standing around waiting for people to finish, but the business' practices around pricing and cancellation are predatory and aggressive. If you're considering joining, read every line carefully and understand that canceling may cost you far more than you expect + you get charged an annual fee which is ridiculous in itself. $38 PER MONTH! and $58 per yer. If they tried to be honest they'd just include it in monthly. You can't just say $1 a month! and $1000 per year... I would not sign up again, and I would not recommend this gym based on how they treat customers when they try to leave. Crooks...

I've had a membership at mini gyms over the years, as far as the competition goes, this planet…read morefitness location is pretty close to the top. I have regularly attended three planet fitness locations in as many states, and this is the best of those by a longshot. On the several times I've been here, there is plenty of access to equipment without waiting, everything is well organized, and as long as you're not needing dumbbells over 75 pounds or traditiona (non-Smith Machine) weight benches, it has everything that you need. The locker rooms are clean, well maintained, and surprisingly non-grungy compared to other gyms I've been to, and staff is friendly. This is an enormous upgrade over the Holland pro fitness that occupied part of the current space years ago. Planet fitness has great deals, and as I'm enjoying right now, the option of bringing your membership to various locations when you travel, which is absolutely wonderful. This is not a high-end spa/gym focused on socializing, but it's not meant to be, and in my opinion is better for that. I can easily recommend this location, but watch out for your lockers, because it seems like other patrons have had problems with the staff cutting off their lock during the same day of use in the past.

So I asked the gentleman at the front desk and he casually goes, "yeah it's like that every summer." Sir... why was this information guarded like classified military intel?! So bam... hit the weights first trying to look athletic for absolutely nobody, then made my way outside to the pool. Let me tell you something... night swimming with nobody around feels like you accidentally rented out a millionaire's backyard. Quiet, peaceful, and not one kid cannonballing directly next to your face while you're trying to have a spiritual moment floating under the stars. I almost stayed until they kicked me out. This gym honestly has some awesome employees too. Amber always comes in with that motivational energy like she's coaching Rocky before a title fight. Then there's Keith moving around the floor like a gym FBI agent making sure dumbbells make it back home safely. Dude cares about the place and it shows. Now parking... whew. Between 4-7pm it's basically the Hunger Games. Once you see headlights backing out you better commit immediately and believe in yourself. But after 9pm? Different universe. Feels like you own the place. Wide open equipment, peaceful vibe, and enough room to finally do lunges without accidentally ending up in somebody's protein shake.
