So I asked the gentleman at the front desk and he casually goes, "yeah it's like that every summer." Sir... why was this information guarded like classified military intel?! So bam... hit the weights first trying to look athletic for absolutely nobody, then made my way outside to the pool. Let me tell you something... night swimming with nobody around feels like you accidentally rented out a millionaire's backyard. Quiet, peaceful, and not one kid cannonballing directly next to your face while you're trying to have a spiritual moment floating under the stars. I almost stayed until they kicked me out. This gym honestly has some awesome employees too. Amber always comes in with that motivational energy like she's coaching Rocky before a title fight. Then there's Keith moving around the floor like a gym FBI agent making sure dumbbells make it back home safely. Dude cares about the place and it shows. Now parking... whew. Between 4-7pm it's basically the Hunger Games. Once you see headlights backing out you better commit immediately and believe in yourself. But after 9pm? Different universe. Feels like you own the place. Wide open equipment, peaceful vibe, and enough room to finally do lunges without accidentally ending up in somebody's protein shake.

She has been rude a couple of times like right before closing time she raised her voice in a rude manner to let us know she is closing and we need to leave. What really stands out is the staff and the other members. Everyone is chill and genuinely helpful. No one feels judgy, and asking for a spot doesn't feel weird. If you have a question, people are cool about it. That kind of atmosphere makes it easy to keep showing up. The Skelcore machines are some of the most ergonomic equipment I've ever used. Everything feels smooth, controlled, and dialed in. If something breaks, it's fixed promptly. There's also equipment there I've never seen before until now that really comes in clutch when you want to train a movement a certain way. The gym stays clean, people rerack their weights, and the culture reflects that. Big shoutout to Jeremy for building and running a solid place. You can tell there's serious intention behind it.

He analyzed my movements and techniques and gave recommendations to prevent future injuries. He came up with a comprehensive plan and worked with my physical therapist to get me back on the mat. He addressed everything from diet, sleep, ice baths, supplements, stretching, flexibility and a specific strength program to help me prevent injuries. i'm in my mid 40s. He helped me come up with a realistic plan so that I could continue doing the sport that I love, but within a reasonable framework to minimize injuries.

Roseville 24 Hour Fitness... WHY are y'all so funny at 5 in the morning?!…read more First thing I noticed walking in--and granted, it IS 5 in the morning --nobody at the front desk. I saw a lady sitting over at the desk to the left, which I'm assuming is some type of office area, but nobody actually up front to hit you with the "Good morning, welcome in!" Maybe that's just part of being a bigger 24-hour location. That's definitely one difference I noticed compared to the smaller Citrus Heights gym. Even though that location is smaller and everything feels a little tighter, somebody is usually at that front desk with a smile, saying hey and welcoming you in. It gives it more of that small, intimate neighborhood-gym feeling. Here, I guess when you're open 24 hours, seeing a smiling face at every entrance isn't quite as high on the priority list. NOW... about these 5 a.m. regulars. I don't know if these were the Saturday regulars or what, but them boys was HOLLERIN'! Big dogs lifting big weights, throwing them things down, making all kinds of noise. I said, "Ohhhh... THIS is what Planet Fitness was talking about with that no-intimidation stuff." I had to put my headphones on and mind my business. Jokes aside, Roseville definitely has a lot more equipment and options than the Citrus Heights location. It's a bigger gym, and compared to Elk Grove, this one really gives me that old-school weight-training gym vibe. Young folks, older folks, beginners, big dogs--you got everybody in there getting it in. Most of the machines were working. There were a few broken ones, but thankfully nothing I needed today. The cable machine I wanted was a little different and wouldn't lower all the way to the floor. Maybe there was some secret lock I didn't understand, but everybody looked too busy lifting houses and screaming, so I wasn't bothering nobody. You get done what you can get done, right?! I wasn't even supposed to be here today. My normal gym didn't open until 6 on Saturday, I NEVER work out Saturdays, and my whole week got thrown off. But sometimes you just gotta make it happen where you can--and 24 Hour Fitness came through because, well... they're actually open 24 hours. Overall, good gym, LOTS of equipment, definitely a serious weight-training atmosphere. You trade a little of that smaller-gym personal welcome for more space and more options, which I can understand. And thankfully I brought my headphones. I'll be back... eventually. Just maybe after the big dogs finish yelling at the weights.
