Manto, like many of the other Italian establishments lining The Parade, is a pretty standard cafe/restaurant. It's nothing spectacular, but it's excellent at what it does, and I tend to hold it in higher regard than the other cafes on the street.
The coffee isn't too exciting, but it's certainly not terrible. The food, however, is a step above the beverages. The beef burger is generously sized and tastes great, and the fries that accompany them are pretty incredible. I think that they may be double-fried, but screw it - if you've already decided to pack on the calories with French fries, you may as well go all the way and get some with decent crunch and flavour! Their breakfasts are also big and satisfying, and their BLT focaccia is better than most places I've tried.
The location is also nice and relaxed, with pleasant outdoor seating. The interior is a little dull; but with plenty of tables outside, you can casually enjoy your breakfast or lunch in the sunshine whilst people walk by, looking on jealously at your delicious meal. read more
