The Gardens Cafe can be found on North East Road in the small Hampstead Gardens "shopping centre" they have there (near the massive tool shop). I went into this little cafe full of good expectations, as the place was clean (usually these kinds of cafes creep me out a bit) and the Asian lady behind the counter was really lovely. Then I got my coffee, and it was way too hot to drink, so I took it away and waited a while before I drank it. I didn't even finish it, it was pretty horrible coffee unfortunately, and I'm not very picky when it comes to coffee.
The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the lady was really nice and their salads etc for their sandwiches looked really fresh and appetising. So, it's somewhere good to stop off and grab a quick bite and a Farmers Union Iced Coffee, but I wouldn't recommend having a real coffee. Just saying.
Also, they seem to have some pretty good deals for breakfast meals, but whether they are any good I don't know, and honestly not that keen to try it out. read more
