I'm always really torn when it comes to bagels. I love them, absolutely love them, but they're also often quite small. So when I order one for lunch I'm always umming and ahhing over whether it will be enough. Imagine my surprise when the spectacular smoked salmon bagel was brought to my table. It was gorgeous, and took a bit of deconstructing before I could eat it. You know I kind of wish it did leave me unsatisfied, only because I was really dying to sample some of the sweeter things on the menu as well. Their waffles, French toast, and blueberry bagel all sound amazing, but I think I'll have to save them for a weekend breakfast sometime. It was packed full of Mums and bubs, many of them seemed to file out at around 12:30 and that's when people showed up for their lunch break. I was actually sick, and I was able to get a comfy spot in the corner an just enjoy some food without having to cook anything myself. I've only been in the area for 2 weeks, but I'm hoping many weekends are filled with a breakfast at the Coffee Barun.

I don't venture up this way often but when I do, I make every opportunity to stop here. Always great coffee and an interesting menu. Food is fresh and delicious, none of which leaves any greasy sickly taste in your mouth. We also found their portions to be generous. The kitchen certainly delivers on the flavours be it their breakfast, big burgers or other lunch menu items. Over time we've had the big breakfast, Thai style beef salad, and salmon. Proteins have been cooked perfectly each time. The beef salad's dressing had just the right balance with generous tender slices of seared beef. I haven't tried any of their pastries or cakes but they always look good. I should really try some next time, good companion for a coffee. The restaurant itself has abundant seating, it's quite lovely spacious and bright in there.

This is a cafe a frequent a lot and every time I go there, I'm not disappointed. First up, they roast their own coffee which makes them a winner already. The coffee is on the strong side but delicious. Their food is always yummy and well priced - but make sure you get in before 2.30pm as they close their kitchen early. As for the space, it's warm and comfortable and I LOVE that they have a little kids corner with a large table where we can hang out and watch the little ones play. It's perfect for a mum's group catch up and I often go here for business meetings. Parking can be found at the back but there are only a few parks available so I recommend parking in the car park across the road. It does get busy so be prepared to wait to find a table at busy times of the day. If you haven't been here, you should.

Fantastic ham and cheese croissants as always

One of my favourite places to go for breakfast and/or lunch, always very friendly staff and always greeted with a smile, I even got complimented on my comedic t-shirt I ordered the ham and cheese croissant, this is one of my favourite things to eat here, in my opinion one of the best ones I've eaten to date, soft fluffy pastry on the inside with a nice crispy flaky shell, the ham to cheese ratio was great, but could use a tad more cheese I also ordered the Belgian hot chocolate, also fantastic, a very creamy and nice tasting chocolate, nothing like the usual chocolate powered 2min drinks most places sell, Only negative is that they have stopped making the Belgian White Hot chocolate, that was the main reason i began dining here many years ago, but the food and remaining beverages make up for it's loss

Great coffee, great bfast menu. Highly recommend the omelet. It's often busy on weekends so u will need to go early. meal sizes are big. Baristas are very good and there is a good selection of coffee styles including cold drip. For parents there is a small corner for the kids.

What an excellent cafe! I'm sad I didn't know it was there sooner! I've seen the signs and thought it was just a small cafe, little did I know hiding inside was a bustling secret that is too good to keep a secret. The staff were all too happy to serve, friendly, engaging. Their coffee had all the attention to detail that you need when you just want a good coffee! I had eggs Benedict, amazing. Excellent hollandaise, cannot be faulted and the serving size which was very generous. This is what Adelaide is about! I hope to come back a bit more when I'm in town!!!

This is by far the best coffee in Adelaide! There is one word to describe the Barun: consistency. This place is my regular during the work week, and much to my wife's chagrin, the bane of my bank account. It's absolutely cracking coffee is roasted on site and you can buy their beans by the bag there. They do take-away coffees for relatively standard prices, but I've found it tastes far better if you grab a seat and have your coffee as the Lord intended it (not to mention you can then partake in the coconut sugar jars they have there). Haven't eaten here that much, but the three times I have, I haven't been disappointed. The food seems pretty fresh and tasty. Adding to that, I've found the staff to be fairly friendly and provide good service.

Perfect place to hang out and with good food. Best eggs benedict Ive ever had. The bread was toasted to perfection, bacon was cooked the way I like it. That hollandaise sauce, amazing... Everywhere I had have eggs benedict the sauce was always too sour. Just parking will be a hassle..

With a bit of a funny location, situated on a main road a few k's from the city, Coffee Barun has relocated a short time ago to a much bigger newer residence only a few doors down. The Coffee Barun serve wonderful breakfast (all day for late risers like me), the coffee is the real winner. They roast on site and supply to a few other cafes in SA. You can buy beans or ground coffee, along with equipment and learn from the best first-hand about your coffee and how to use it.

Where? Asked my hipster and eastern suburb friends. Sefton Park. Great coffee (they roast their own) and good food. I'll be back for sure.

I chose Simply Coffee because they looked to have a big range (based on their website). Walking in, the strong aroma of coffee hit me right away. The walls were lined with grinder after grinder full of single origin coffee beans and blends. I was very overwhelmed. Right away, a staff member came to my rescue. He asked me about 10 questions to determine which brew would suit me best. On his advice, I chose Simply blend 2. It smelt lovely. After trying it in my machine, I am really happy with the choice I made. I'm looking forward to trying some of the many other beans at Simply Coffee.

Roasted on site, there are about 20 coffee blends and single origins to choose from. The staff are very knowledgeable, helping you decipher which would suit you and your tastes best. The shop has a couple of seats, lots of coffee accessories (I could look for hours) and cool equipment on show. The ladies who work there are very friendly and sociable, chatting away with each other and regular customers while frothing the milk. It's not really a cafe to hang out in, this bit of Rundle Street is a bit suburban and busy, but takeaways are great and easy to get.

Him and his staff know their coffee. They use Bonsoy and I've seen them use various cow's milk. I think they use Paul's now. Parking behind the building can be accessed from South Rd or the side street. I've even parked in the neighbouring businesses parking spots... Service was OK, what ruined it was what seemed like the owner and his companions were behind the counter talking loudly. I know good coffee takes time, but I was waiting roughly 8-10 mins for mine. Because I usually get it on the way to work, I want to be in-and-out as quickly as possible; which means most mornings I will not stop to purchase one because I fear it will take too long. Parking is also a tad tricky. Lastly, the minimum eftpos is $10 which mean I need to buy 2 coffees plus something small if I want to use my card. If I have no cash, it will prevent me from buying a coffee that morning. Overall though, this is a coffee place and they do damn good coffee!
