The Manor House Inn is like an old English Tudor house. The parlor has a grand piano, and the foyer has a staircase.

Heidi was very complimentary and informed me about how to get to my room. The rooms were comfortable and warm. This is the first place I've ever stayed where I really noticed how warm the house was kept. This was great, because it was a little chilly. We had a great conversation - Heidi was very friendly and informed me about the area. In the morning, I was offered pancakes, waffles, French toast, etc. I had the French roast and it came with bacon and pineapple. It was really yummy. I would definitely stay here again!

Heidi…read moreis a wonderful host--warm, welcoming, professional, and the right amount of conversational; we had a lovely chat about the inn and our plans, but also felt free to kick back on our own on the inn's gorgeous two-story wraparound porch. Even though apparently several other rooms were booked at the same time, we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The rooms were immaculately clean and had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. The decorating is minimal and isn't fussy but still made us feel at home. Breakfast in the morning was great--homemade waffles, fresh pineapple, and big serving of bacon. Would love to stay here again. Tip for finding the Inn: If you're driving from Canaan, look for the Inn's sign on the left or for the tractor crossing sign on the right side of the road.

Interesting hosts, and guests . The breakfast is exceptional. My suggestion is to ignore ad hominem attacks at all times, and especially here. We graciously paid for our own accommodations, and will be coming back :Sweetwater is our go to in the Berkshires. The travel time to Tanglewood and/or Lenox is a bit longer than where we stayed in nearby Stockbridge, and worth it. It's also relatively easy to find your way to and from this quiet, gracious B and B

It is not only clean, but also has super cool decor inside and outside! Owners Rob and Robbie are the best. They are professional, very personable and are two seriously amazing cooks!! The breakfast was SO on point. They provide a very nice assortment of options, and you leave that breakfast table feeling quite happy and satisfied. I also like the fact that they have chickens laying the fresh eggs we ate each morning. That was a real treat. The surrounding area is beautiful and there are lots of resources at the Inn to guide you with things to do. I truly loved our stay, and will definitely stay again. I highly recommend the Inn at Sweet Water Farm.

Candlelight Farms has such a magical charm about it…read more We were referred here by one of our good friends neighbors. Nancy was a wonderful host. She was able to accomodate us and our almost 6 month old. She had a pack and play already set up in the room for us! Everything was clean. Quiet. The parfaits so simple and delicious. I loved the charm of this place with great company and beautiful grounds. We got to meet Fiona the donkey so sweet my little one loved it Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the rehearsal dinner on the porch of the building next to the large silo. It was right before sunset, so we got to enjoy the gorgeous view of the land, trees, and lake while the August sun went down. There was a lovely breeze and we enjoyed our meal under twinkling string lights. There were tons of beautiful flowers blooming around the grounds, and we enjoyed lawn games on the rolling green grass. The next day, for the ceremony, we were located down by the lake. The ceremony took place on a lawn in front of a beautiful old tree, facing the water. Afterwards, we made our way into the old barn and enjoyed cocktail hour and the reception. The space was well designed and the whole experience was magical; candles and simple draperies. A beautiful breeze flowed through the venue as the rumble of thunder echoed in the distance. Despite the thunderstorm that passed through, we were safe and dry inside the barn. All in all, one of the most beautiful and magical wedding venues I've seen.
