I'm 78 years old and it was 90 degrees. This, after OKing his proposal and then making multiple attempts to get him to commit to a day and time to do the job. He finally said he'd be there Wednesday, August 12 in the afternoon. He never showed up and never called. I texted him asking why. This time he actually phoned me back and apologized, telling me he forgot because he was so focused on some other job. I explained that I had gone to a great deal of effort to prepare my property for him and was just about to suggest a new date when he became defensive, telling me that no money had yet changed hands. I thought to myself that if he treated me this way before I paid him anything, how would he treat me after got my money? I decided then and there to go with a more reliable business and suggest you do the same.

He arrived at my house, introduced himself and immediately went to take a look at the huge fallen branch in my yard to ease my stress. We discussed the work that needed to be done and he gave me a very fair price, he even said he'd help me clear the rest of the broken branches that had nothing to do with the work he was there for. I told him that I wouldn't be around the following day, but would still like the work done before Sunday since we were expecting snow. He came as promised that Saturday afternoon and worked in the rain. I think he didn't want to bother me as he knew I was in class, so he texted me when the work was complete with photos of the job. I really appreciated his prompt responses, work, and professionalism. He contacted me a few days later just to make sure that I was happy with the work and I thought very highly of that since not many contractors follow up with their customers once the work is complete. Just looking at other reviews, it sounds like he does snow removal too, but definitely call him if you have tree needs! Great work, local, fair pricing, and super professional.

And the damage to perenial flowers pulled out of the ground. Junior is not a professional, he's a hacker not taking pride in his work-and doing damage and not taking responsibility for his damage. Also not keeping his word to return and fix his damage. His leaving me like this has caused much anguish, as most companies already have their customers for the season and cannot absorb another. I am 67 years old and he had a smooth way of adding things to a job quoted at 4,600.00 and adding things on without itemizing costs, taking my checks and cashing quickly. Before I could figure out I was being taken for a ride it was to late, he got the price of the work up to 9,200.00 dollars, a total of three checks. This is how he did it! After quoting me the 4,ooo for 12 shrubs and 600.00 for pruning some trees on the first meeting I agreed and I gave him a down payment check for 2,500.00. A few days latter he arrived to do the job. He pruned much less than what he originally described he was going to prune the day of the quote. After pruning he brought out the 12 shrubs to ware I wanted them and then told me he brought 3 extra shrubs and would I like to add them to the job along with the plants he described as being amazing! I agreed and instead of a 2100.00 balance check I give him 3200.00 for the additional shrubs and plants thinking that would be it. The next day he arrived with the plants and loam but he only brought enough plants for 12 shrubs. That's when he asked for an additional check for 3500.00 after saying he would be back with the other remaining plants for the three other shrubs that he said he forgot about. After looking at what I was spending this much money for, after giving him that last check. I was going to try to stop that last check but it was to late, he already very quickly cashed the last two checks. I should have known better but was under a lot of stress at that time like everyone else with the Pandemic, and a crazy neighbor cutting down trees on her own next to my yard, the main reason why I wanted this landscaping job done. When he arrived for the last time to plant the rest of the additional plants he forgot, with no extra loam, the reason why the plants root system were exposed, I asked him for an itemized account for the job, shrubs, plants, loam, labor etc. he would keep changing the subject to justify the cost for going to the plant nursery in his truck etc., I gave up and he never did give me what I was asking for, I would only be wasting my time to continue! He had a big smile on his face as he was getting back into his truck, that I hope I can hopefully someday soon forget! I eded up choosing RD and have been very happy with them. They came out to take a look around while I was at work and emailed me an estimate for the job, no scheduling or effort needed on my part, which was great. I called a little late in the season, but they were able to get me on the schedule with no problem. Their standard fall cleanup comes in two phases: once part-way through leaf season and again around Thanksgiving once the leaves have fallen. Their team did a great job both times (and my house has a *ton* of leaves, we are practically surrounded by oak trees). They removed all the leaves, raked up acorns, and left the yard looking great. I plan to work with them again for sure.
