Disappointing. Let's start with $9 pretzel basket with one soft pretzel and three (yes, 3) small pretzel sticks and a small cup of mustard and another of beer cheese. The menu described this appetizer with peanut butter pretzel nuggets. Fail #1. Fail #2. I ordered a Greek salad. After all, Manny is "famous" for his Greek food. I know this, because the website features his background. The salad is described with cucumber, tomatoes, olives & of course, feta cheese. The extremely small $9 salad (do you see a pattern here?) came without tomatoes and without feta. When we pointed this out to our server she came back with Parmesan cheese. (Plant your palm in your forehead here). The burger was actually pretty good. On the small side, but properly cooked with a bit of a char. The fries? Limp. We also tried some lemon pepper chicken wings. Again, somewhat anemic in size, but served hot & crispy. And since Manny's is primarily a bar, the diluted Diet Coke can be forgiven. There's lots of screens to watch sports. And the service is friendly. But if you want real good bar food, Manny's isn't your best bet. read more

Today was rainy and out of some drafts and a new menu change. Still nice sports bar ambience with lots of screens for various sports events. The ONE server for the full bar was still friendly and affable in handing everyone. Be patient for the food to come out. Cook helps bring out when behind you serve. Nice. Being born and raised in New Haven and a pizza aficionado I know New Haven pizza and this is not it. Looking forward to trying the Detroit style pizza on my next visit. If you know me then you know the only sports I am passionate about includes a tennis court or has 18 ridiculous holes and neon colored golf balls. So the concept of a sports bar is not the glaring light drawing me near as it is for others. But, when there's quality pub food with a Greek flair and local brews on tap (including his own Manny's IPA from Savannah River Brewery) then you have my attention. Before I share about my visit, let's address the obvious. This location used to be the Hive (the restaurant that preceded the bodega). And it's laid out the same, concerning seating inside and out. But I'm telling you, the ambiance is all sports bar so anticipate the result of Manny's touch (on the decor and menu). I took advantage of the outdoor seating. It's shaded come early evening and the less traffic (10th Street) makes for a very enjoyable experience. I brought my appetite and began with the loaded cheese fries. Come on, house made beer cheese?! I couldn't say no. And the plate was soon clean. Next up was the Greek burger. It's a nice size if you aren't ready for the big boy (Smash Burger-8 oz. angus beef) and has both the patty and gyro. Now I am a sucker for the details and the two that hooked me were the mustard tzatziki and potato bun. The fries were the perfect compliment, as I am one to alternate between everything on my dish. I need a jar of that mustard tzatziki. Now all of this would have been top notch even if served on a used trash lid by an uncouth individual. But it was not. One of the friendliest wait staff members I have ever encountered. My next visit will be the Bavarian pretzel and Greek Cuban (and hopefully, if I have room, the baklava). I was really excited to see a new sports bar come to the downtown area, and Manny's doesn't disappoint! It has an indoor dining area with a bar, and plenty of TV's to watch your favorite team. There is also an outdoor area that looks really nice if you want to enjoy the weather. It definitely has the sports bar vibe, but is kept really clean with delicious food. This is a new sports bar opened in Augusta. They play different pro/college games. The food was pretty good. They said they are gonna to update the menu with more chicken options so I'll be back for that. You can also pay via QR code/apple pay so that was convenient. read more

Was told it was a pub like setting. Turned out to be a dive. Food was meh. Two obnoxious drunks, one who came from the OTHER SIDE of the place to where I was and tried to put his hands on me where they didn't belong. When rebuffed he acted out and, instead of addressing the DRUNK WHO HAD JUST PUT HIS HANDS ON ME, the bartender went off on me. I had nothing but water to drink with my meal, I was totally sober. I recently tried this new place as a recommendation by some friends that had already went there. I forgot to take pictures this time, however the atmosphere is small but is family style seating where you share tables with other people which I think is needed in this world today. Meet new people and enjoy dinner and drinks. I ordered the avocado chop chop app which was good however I do not believe the avocado was ripe enough and I do not think it's worth the price. The hummus was delicious and I would definitely order it again!! What I highly recommend though is the SMASH BURGERS!!!!! This burger was seriously the best burger I have ever eaten!! The flavor in the meat was amazing !!! The only critique I would give is update the system used to take orders. I say this because our waitress came and took our order, we then waited for a good length of time. She then came back and said the computer ate our order so she had to again ask us for what we ordered. Then we got our food finally. Then it was time to split our check where she brought out the checks and they were not split correctly the waitress again blamed the computer system. We then made it easy on her and said never-mind just put it on one ticket and then boom again another long wait. Finally I had to mention it to the owner Manny who didn't know this was going on and he ended up comping our meal which is not what we wanted to happen. It is a great place and I will definitely be going back!! This place definitely has potential as the atmosphere is great, food is delicious, and beer is cold. Downtown needs a great place to go to watch the game. The biggest shortcomings with this establishment is everything is way overpriced. $24 for 12 buffalo wings is ridiculous. Six dollars for a Miller light draft is absurd. I am fully aware of the effects of recent inflation, however this place is significantly higher than all of its competitors. For that reason, I won't be eager to return. read more

Went for a work lunch with 11+ team members and had a GREAT experience! Delicious food, great service, and quick! We were out in less than an hour and were able to pay separately. Manny even brought us pitchers of drinks so we wouldn't run out. Can't wait to go back for a football game! read more
