I always try to work things out before writing a bad review -- but after a full year of trying, I'm done. This company is a scam. I bought their massage gun on Amazon. It broke after two weeks. Amazon replaced it, but the new one didn't work either. Since Manhattan Wellness stopped selling on Amazon, I had to deal with them directly. After weeks of chasing them down, a woman named Kathy finally replied and said if I paid for shipping both ways -- $60 -- they'd send me a new one. So I did. It took months and multiple follow-ups to get that replacement. By the time it finally showed up, I had already bought a different brand because I needed one for my neck. I stored the Manhattan Wellness one, unopened, until recently. When I finally plugged it in -- nothing. It won't even charge. Total junk. I emailed Kathy again (weeks go by, as usual) and told her I wanted a full refund plus the $60 shipping I paid. Nothing. No response. If they're willing to scam me out of all this money, lie, ignore me, and act completely unprofessional, how do you think that reflects on their actual therapy business? This is a New York City-based therapy and wellness practice that claims to specialize in mental health, couples therapy, and overall well-being. The irony is unbelievable -- a company supposedly helping people heal and feel better can't even treat their paying customers with basic respect. If this is how they operate on the business side, what else are they doing that's unscrupulous behind closed doors? They owe me $300 total, and until they make it right, I'll keep posting this review everywhere. People deserve to know the truth. read more

Went from flat in my back to waking long distance in two weeks. Everyone is good but Yash is the best therapist I have ever encountered

I scheduled the first appointment the other week, when I found Manhattan Wellness Group in the local listings for Brooklyn Heights. Upon arriving, the office was closed. I called and only then learned that the doctors were not working in Brooklyn that week due to renovations. I rescheduled for today, giving them the benefit of the doubt. I arrived at 1pm for an appointment only to find out that the chiropractor was at "a meeting" and asked if I was available in an hour. I accepted this as sunk cost, said yes, and stayed nearby waiting for the call to confirm the delayed appointment. After not hearing from the office for 2 hours, I called and agreed to a 4pm appointment. I arrived a few minutes beforehand. I waited until 5:10 (while being told that it would only be a few more minutes and that I was next despite watching people with later appointments get ushered in ahead of me). I never did not see the chiropractor. I did lose what was effectively one day's worth of my time. The other two reviews are very enthusiastic. I hope that my experience was an anomaly. read more

I have been going to the Brooklyn office for several years now, first for a problem and then for "maintenance." the staff is great and I have not had any lower back pain since I have been going there. I threw my back out a few months ago and could barely get out of bed. Once I was able to move I went to this practice 2-3x/week and I am confident that is the reason I was able to function again. It's a 1-stop shop- chiropractor, physical therapist, acupuncture/cupping, and massage therapy. I have done all 4 multiple times and couldn't be happier with the results. I returned this week due to shoulder pain, and was told immediately and rudely by two women at the front desk that my insurance isn't accepted here anymore. These guys are always on point. I have been a patient before I was pregnant, through my entire pregnancy, and now post partum. I was impressed with their specialization in prenatal and postpartum treatments, as well as my shoulder and back tension before I was pregnant. The PT, chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture were always specialized for my body and medical state. The relief I felt as a very pregnant human was amazing. I came in weekly the last 2 months of my pregnancy until I went into labor. I learn so much everytime I go because the staff is extremely professional and experienced. I get a mix of Chiro (and not the run of the mill, let me adjust this and that, he focuses on the parts that need work and really work them without overdoing it), physical therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, cupping, etc... all the practitioners are very skilled. I have never found an office like this before. They spend the time with you and on your body to really solve the problems. They don't overwhelm you with supplements and remedies... they treat your body and teach you exercises and stretches that will help heal you and alleviate pain. I began coming here for routine checks and became a regular patient getting bi weekly physical therapy, chiropractic treatments and massages because they were so great. The entire staff is professional and caring. Soon after, I got pregnant and whenever Id come for my treatments everyone was always so helpful and gracious. I became super busy and slacked on my visits until before I knew it I was 7 days past my due date and ready to pop with no baby in sight. I was scheduled for an induction the next day and was dying to get some natural induction help or at worst just get my last massage for a long time :) ... so I called the office and got an appt for the same day. I went in SUPER PREGNANT and was given an acupuncture treatment specifically for my induction needs, a chiro treatment, medical massage and an awesome PT treatment by the BEST PT IN TOWN named Pari. These guys are amazing! I go for a mix of chiro, physical therapy, massage, and acupuncture, and all the practitioners I've met with are top notch - so good at what they do and so friendly. They're great about finding appointment times that work for me, and spend a lot of time with me when I'm in the office (I never feel rushed, which is great). I've been to other chiropractor offices where I feel like they're just swindling me out of money, but I never feel that here. They truly recommend exactly what regimen you need to feel better - nothing more, nothing less. And I really do always walk out of there feeling lighter and better than when I walked in. Showed up on time for my first chiropractor appointment at the BK Heights location on Hicks. In fact, took a cab so I wasn't late. After sitting there for 40 mins, I finally asked when the doctor would see me, because I had made arrangements to be away from work for only one hour. I was told the doctor was running late. And not late in the sense of appointments running over, which I could have appreciated. But late in terms of the doctor hadn't even made it to the office yet (this was for a 10 am Friday appointment and it was now 10:40 am). Wish they had extended to me the same courtesy they would expect from a patient if s/he was running nearly an hour late and had alerted me early to the significant delay so I could have made other arrangements. I waited 5 more minutes and then left because i needed to return to work. Ironic that I had just filled out paperwork and committed to a $20 fee if I cancelled with less than 24hr notice...wonder if they'll send me a check. The receptionist couldn't have been nicer, but suggest you look for a place where the doctors actually show up for their appointments. read more

These folks have really helped me back (sic) to almost full health and wellness. I first visited the MWG's Madison Ave practice after receiving a spinal x-ray that showed a sort of major dislocation and alignment of vertebrae. Although the x-ray explained the severe pain I was experiencing, my doctors were unable to help me. So I went in with their claim of "free consultation", but when I emerged, I was feeling so much better, and free of pain, that I returned, and then found the Brooklyn Heights location more convenient to my schedule. The staff of Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Acupuncturists, Massage Therapists, as well as the great front office reception/billing staff to be first-rate. But not only that, they are so helpful to me (and others) that I am pleased to recommend MWG to my friends and colleagues. I always really look forward to my next appointments! :-) They ROCK! Hidden gem!!! A Hidden Gem indeed. I promised myself to write this review over 8 years ago and never did.This past weekend I was talking to a friend who was describbing to me her pain that suddenly started in her lower back of thighs and I immediately said to her I have someone for you. I recommend Dr.Trabulsi to everyone under the sun that I came across during my treatments and still many years later. I too suffer with lower chronic back and neck pain after a whip lash. I had gone to many doctors, spine specialist,Pain management. Emergency rooms because at times I would suddenly not be able to walk without excrushiating pain. you name it I tried it to relieve my pain. Spine Specialist told me there was nothing they could do but to recommend therapy or addictive drugs to help my pain. I was walking down the street one day after a Dr. visit at LICH and someone gave me a flyer from this Wellness Group. I really was going there for the massage but read that he gave free consultations. I really had given up on spending money and not feeling better. But I decided to get his opinion. Well!! What I found out after he recommended that I get a MRI was that I had bulging disc in my neck and lower back and thats why my pain was so severe at times. My spine was so crooked that and caused pressure on my disc. Dr. T straighten my spine, help strenthen my core, and took away my pain. He is my HERO! I stayed pain free after two years of his help and continue to do so. DR. T I'm forever grateful. I will never forget you and your staff, massage therapists,acupunturist/herbalist.
