Great family owned pizza spot! Excellent price and quality slices. Nice under carriage and crust. The cheese and sauce balance was perfect. I enjoyed the amount of pepperoni on the slices too! The atmosphere was very laid back and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming! 3*** = Good but no separation from similar restaurants 4**** = Set themselves a part with quality food and I want to go back. 5*****= You have to go out of your way and make a special trip to try the deliciousness that is there! read more

As an independent food delivery driver, I've driven past Manhattan Pizza at least 500 times without knowing it existed. I received notice of a delivery needed by one of their customers who ordered the Sicilian pizza. It made my car smell delicious and the customer gave me a good tip. I was eager to try the place. That evening I returned as a paying customer because my interaction with one of the restaurant employees was friendly and inviting. It's located next to an equity realty company; it's like a hole in a wall but once you step inside a new adventure awaits. It was a Friday about 5:30p and several of the tables were filled with happy faces. It was clean inside. They have restrooms for paying customers. There were a few tv's playing football and baseball games. It's a place where you order up front and sit down and they bring the food out to you. Their menu has everything you can think of for an Italian pizzeria and wings restaurant including pasta, salads and subs. The prices are competitive with an excellent value. We ordered 2 calzones- veggie and special. Let me tell you they stuff so much amazing ingredients inside that we have enough food to bring home for another meal! And the crust on the calzones is fresh and tastes homemade. I dipped the crust into ranch and marinara sauce. Thank you for a great new food eating experience. read more

Unfortunately, I'll never know if this place is good though because they add a MANDATORY TIP to your delivery. Last time I checked, tips are GRATUITY. So if I were to order and get a disgusting pizza or the wrong pizza entirely. I would've just tipped for a terrible experience. TIPS ARE NOT A REQUIREMENT. We finally made the drive to try Manhattan Pizza, and we're so glad we did. We love to support local, and this spot did NOT disappoint. The food was really good, fresh and hot. The customer service was great, and my husband enjoyed chatting with the staff/family there. We will for sure go back. We might drive by 10 pizza places on our way, but it's worth it. *UPDATE we went again a couple of weeks later, and everything was great again. I got wings again, best I've ever had. Me and an acquaintance of mine went to this restaurant around 5:00 PM and we were very hungry. We entered and received kind service right out of the gate. The restaurant was very clean and felt very homey inside. We were seated and ordered a pizza with ham, olives, sausage, and pepperoni and mozzarella sticks along with two Arnold Palmers. We swiftly received our Arnold Palmers and the mix between the lemonade and tea was the perfect ratio. Absolutely delightful. We received our mozzarella sticks in a timely manner and these were quite exquisite. We got 6 and the price was quite inexpensive for the cost. Shortly thereafter, we received the pizza which has the perfect sauce to grease to crust to toppings ratio. We took down quite the amount and exited, finishing our sticks and drinks. And we have more pizza for more meals. Delightful. read more

Decided to try manhattan pizza for the first time and doubt we will be back the pizza was mid at best lacking flavor and the pepperonis were not very good. The wings tasted like they fried them in burnt oil and the "hot" sauce was also not spicy at all just tasted like mild wings. We also ordered garlic knots and they were burnt I would say about 95% of them were black on the outside. You're not missing out on much we really need a better local pizza place in this area. read more

This is a first for me: a review not of a restaurant's food or service, but of their COVID protocols. Manhattan Pizza doesn't seem to have any. I'm surprised to see that other customers have indicated that the staff at Manhattan Pizza are wearing masks and requiring that customers wear masks. Maybe this was the case in the early days of the pandemic, but now, a year on, this is not the case. I decided to write this review strictly based on the fact that almost nobody was wearing masks on my recent visit. When I went in to pick up my order, there was one six top waiting for theirs. Two of them wore masks as they chatted, the other four didn't. Not a single employee wore a mask, kitchen or front of the house. There was a small bottle of hand sanitizer at the front counter, though. Perhaps a holdover from earlier times when most people still seemed to care about safety. Phoenix has a mask mandate in place, and even if we didn't, I expect the people handling other people's food to exhibit extra precautions during these times. Despite being a loyal customer for many years, I won't be back, at least until the pandemic is over, and maybe not ever. read more

I have been here multiple times. The staff is always friendly and happy. Even if there is a huge line you will be in and out faster than you anticipated. I love their Philly cheese steak sandwich! Not sure what another reviewer on here was complaining about not being covid conscious. No restaurants out there are making anyone wear a mask so she should stay home. This place had awesome pizza and wings. I was also going to try one of their salads but forgot to order it because I got caught up on how good it smelt in there. The crest of the pizza had a nice crispness to it. The inside was nice and soft. It had really good flavor also. The wings which I noticed other reviewers saying were smaller but very flavorful that is true. Their Excel Pizza and Wing special 25 wings was plenty for two of us big guys. And we took some home. If people are going to whine about someone wearing masks they should just stay home dummies. read more

I love being able to check out restaurants that are not chains and local. I can say I did not love this experience. The pizza was absolutely horrible-it tasted like something I would get from Walmart not from a small restaurant. The cheese was stuck together in a hard chunk. The crust was rock hard. The Jalepeno Poppers tasted like something I could buy in a box from Frys. The only saving grace was the anitpasta salad, honestly you can't screw up a salad. read more
