You communicate via text with various people there who say different things. You get a code to access a location for a visit. They claim all spaces are taken when spaces are vacant. Since they don't have a current list and unknown people are squatting in empty spaces-this leads to excess texts and more confusion. I just left a space in Hells Kitchen due to water damage. It took 4 days of texts to get a response from them. The place was dirty; smelled like mold and the food commissary above it was noisy. Go to a legitimate storage. Save your sanity!

tl;dr Dispatch was great, crew was horrible…read more I want to be fair. Dispatch was professional, helpful, and the price was reasonable, especially for short notice. I wasn't pushed to give more of a tip, although I did tip more than recommended. I was initially really satisfied, but have since discovered they deliberately damaged a 6-level stacked metal card cabinet. When I included it in the inventory, I wasn't aware there were still items in the drawers. Our move was extremely chaotic, and the moving service that we used prior, checked all drawers to make sure they were empty, before moving items. People make mistakes, especially in stressful circumstances. Nonetheless, I accept that the responsibility of checking was still ultimately mine. However, if I had been made aware there were still items inside, I would have apologized, and either offered to pay more, or moved the drawers myself. After arriving at the new location, my son heard clinking sounds, as one of the movers walked past him smirking, while shaking and swinging the drawers, one in each hand. He then threw the drawers on their sides, onto one of my metal bookcases, which was apparently repeated for all 6 stacks. Between the throwing and shaking, the outer surfaces of the drawers and top of the bookcase were scratched and scuffed. The individual drawers were so badly dented that I had trouble putting several back in once removed, to retrieve the items that had been flung into the very back, past the drawers. They could have refused to take the cabinet, like they did with several boxes I had pointed out at the beginning of the move as needing to be prioritized. I had to beg and offer them more money to get those boxes onto the truck, because they said they'd already taken enough items. It wasn't until they called dispatch that they were told I had preemptively paid more the day before, because I didn't want to risk undercounting the boxes and other items. Dispatch said I didn't owe anything more, and told them to take the boxes. I was trying to understand why this crew didn't simply decline to move the cabinet, like with the boxes. They would have been well within their rights, because it violated their company's policy. Given the smirking and throwing, the only conclusion I can make is that this crew found messing with customers and damaging their items, fun.

JD & Martin took the time to answer all my questions and helped me choose the right size unit for my needs without any pressure or upselling. The facility itself is clean, secure, and well-maintained. I felt completely comfortable storing my belongings here, and the climate control made a big difference--especially for some of the more sensitive items I had. Access hours were convenient, and I never had an issue getting in or out. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for safe, reliable, and thoughtful storage service. My first clue was when I tried to pay my bill, and I got a surprising error message when I tried to log in: "Customer Center is not available for this store." Eventually, the change was confirmed both by a customer service agent at CubeSmart (by chat) and by a customer service agent at Manhattan Mini Storage (part of StorageMart) (by voice call). That was on 25 January 2026, when the location is closed due to bad weather. I will call tomorrow to see what's going on.

This was my first time hiring movers and J & G Moving exceeded my expectations! The move went so…read moresmoothly that I highly recommend them. I price-compared a ton of NYC moving companies and J & G gave me a competitive moving quote. Additionally, the building I was moving into required a certificate of insurance (COI) and J & G was able to offer it for me for free. A lot of other companies charge for this. Before moving, I communicated with them via email and they always responded promptly and were very clear about what their moving package included. The day of the move, they called and asked if it was okay if they came an hour early. They were very communicative with me during the whole move. The lead guy (forgot his name!) assessed how many things I had and then discussed with the other 2 men on how to efficiently approach the move. The 3 men were over 6' tall and strong, and they were able to finish my whole move in a little more than 1 hr! I did not have anything that was easily breakable but the men treated my things with care. They provided blanket and shrink wrapping for all of my furniture. Everything was loaded up into their truck very quickly. These guys wasted no time. When I arrived at my new apartment building, they had already started unloading my things. I had my boxes labeled with what was inside (i.e., kitchen supplies, shoes, jackets) and they actually placed each box in the corresponding room. Best of all, there were no hidden fees. They ended up not charging me a processing fee that was included in the quote and gave me $40 off my quoted price. The movers were so friendly, communicative and professional, I will definitely be using J & G Moving again! I also wanted to note that on the day of my move, the street I was moving from was blocked due to construction. J & G movers did not complain or make any mention of that until I had stepped outside of my apartment building and noticed it. These guys provide excellent customer service and I was very impressed by them.

I have a really large television and they managed to get it off the wall with ease. Lastly they have the best insurance and they sent me the COI that my building requested (luxury building)..I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family. In all honesty this was the best moving experience I ever had. I wouldn't have used any other company.
