This is one of my favorite places to hang in MHK. The bartenders are very chill. You can bring your dog or meet someone else's dog. They have a wide selection of beer and cocktails (if you're not a beer girly). No real food but sometimes they have food trucks. And, they don't mind if you bring food in from other establishments. We love going to the Manhattan Brewery. They always have a great selection with new flavors added on a consistent basis. We enjoy being able to bring in our own food, honestly we usually grab AJ's Pizza as it is the perfect combination. I love the idea that they plan lots of special events and they are not all the same kind. They also will set up in the alley at times too. They also have a nice selection of board games you can play. Came in on a Sunday evening while visiting for a quick one before heading to a concert and after slamming back a couple of cold ones at the more well known brewery a block away. The difference between Manhattan and the competitor was night and day. Manhattan does not serve food so no lines or wait times to enter and the vibe was a 180 degree turn. Less families and more younger folks out for a good time. I loved that they were spinning vinyl behind the bar - OutKast's "Aquemini" to The Rolling Stones' "Goat's Head Soup" during our brief visit, instead of a streaming channel or a jukebox. Nice! Also nice was my pint of Moby Duck, a Belgian IPA at 9.7% ABV. Smooth and satisfying and a perfect send-off to go see live music. This is a serious craft beer establishment in Manhattan, KS. The rotating selection of beers features plenty of interesting selections for an adventurous palate. Beer is the focus here; food selections are mainly snacks. My bartender was extremely well-informed and had great suggestions to navigate the beer menu. read more

One of the worst IPAs I've ever had. To add insult to injury the bartender look my drink (with beer in it) from me after I closed my tab. Also cannot stand places that take your card and don't give it back until payment. read more

I visited Manhattan from out of state and I think I was in here at least four times for their boozy seltzers. SO GOOD!! They have rotating flavors every day and they make the fruit syrups in house. They're also cheap!! I wish they had more munchies to go with the booze but still an awesome place to grab a drink. read more

I love this new addition to downtown! Also, this business won the Start Up MHK competition and was awarded funds for its pitch! On my first visit, I stopped by to get crowlers to go. The staff let me taste beers before I purchased, which was unexpectedly nice. I got lemon saison and polyester pigeon initially. Then I returned for a few happy hours on the patio, which was built in some parking spots in front of the establishment (which happened for all restaurants and bars downtown recently). The patio has heaters which is really nice. On my second visit, I tried pumpkin batch which was brewed with pumpkin pies made by the local Little Batch Co. I loved it! On my most recent visit, I learned that I did not have to order a big glass, but I could order 5 oz pours (one or as many as I would like) since there is not technically a flight on the menu. I got two small glasses, one of pumpkin batch knowing it is seasonal, and peachy wheat. My friend and I split the bartender's blend snacks, which the staff kindly separated into two separate trays so we could keep our hands to ourselves. The rotating beer engine offerings are really fun, the staff is nice, and the beer is great. I will keep coming back for crowlers or to brave the cold on the patio! read more

Highly disappointed. I had tasted their pumpkin beer a few days ago and thought it was the best I had ever had. I made a special trip back to Manhattan to sit on the patio and have a pumpkin beer once again. It was undrinkable. I brought it to the bartender and told them something was wrong with it and could they switch it out with a wheat beer. The bartenders could care less, they were not interested in the problem or the solution. I left them the glass and said just pour it out there is something wrong with it. My girlfriend found the "seltzer" undrinkable as well. They made it by putting something in a glass and adding soda water. Terrible experience all the way around. A beautiful afternoon and $15 wasted. read more

If I could give them zero stars for disrespect, rudeness and poor service I would. I went here with my husband and father-in-law on a Saturday night. I didn't have my id so they wouldn't serve me, which I respect and understand they are doing their job. They got their drinks and we sat down, the staff continued to monitor me, staring at me through the window. My husband went back in for a second drink and soon after a staff member came out and accused me of drinking it, I hadn't touched it. A few minutes later (after continuously staring at me) she came out again and told me that if I kept drinking that I would have to leave, and I still had not touched any drinks. She continued to accuse me, saying that someone sitting inside had reported to her that I drank it, she didn't actually see anything herself and came out pointing fingers with no way to back herself up. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I understand doing her job, but she took it was too far, was very disrespectful and honestly the other staff members were disrespectful to us as customers as well. The way we were treated simply due to being there without an id and not breaking any rules was uncalled for. I used to love this place and it has a great atmosphere but I won't be back. read more
