Standard Manhattan Bagel shop on Ferry Road just north of Doylestown. Far from the best New York bagels I have enjoyed, but also far from the worst. Consistency is their super power. They lack a crisp crust, but provide lots of topping and better than decent core. Coffee is B+, but is always hot and strong. I went with an Onion Bagel with Veggie Spread, untoasted. Their cream cheese had oozed out of its circle by the time it was opened at home, making for messy fingers with every bite. Glad I remembered to add napkins to the bag before leaving, and had me wonder why the staff didn't add them automatically. Probably a missed training session by management. Still, the small shop was clean and the staff alert and friendly (but for the napkins). On a beautiful weekend afternoon, I was in an understanding and forgiving mood. Dropped the coin change into the tip jar and was on my way.

I order the same thing every time. -toasted salt bagel, with cream cheese- Every time it's made correctly. This is a comparison versus this location and Chalfont. Same bagel here is $3.38 vs $4.12 in Chalfont. Make any sense? At Chalfont, you literally have an entire crew who can't literally read "please toast bagel" no matter how many times you've asked (9 occurrences they f'd up) This location has been incredibly consistent. I've never had an issue here; while I've had nothing but issues at Chalfont.

Bagel with less than 1/2 Tsp of cream cheese.

Stoped by to get a bagel today. Unfortunately, took it to go and didn't inspect it first. Very little cream cheese - very, very little. Seriously? When you figure out the cost per bagel, this is the amount of cream cheese you provide. $4.12 for a bagel with less than 1/2 Tsp of cream cheese. Very disappointing.

A typical Manhattan Bagel location with friendly staff and quick service. I was a little disappointed in the coffee bar area, it was not as clean as I was hoping and many of the items needed to be refilled. The staff happily refilled the items (iced coffee pot and milk) that I had asked for without a problem. The food that I ordered was delicious!

Ordered 2 bagels and one breakfast sandwich and all of the bagels were completely burnt. This isn't the first time either.

    Burnt rock of a bagel!

I like the chicken salad on croissant. Also like their strawberry cream cheese on blueberry bagel.

I happened to stumble upon Bagel Barn while heading to a doctor's appointment, and I'm glad I did--I found the needle. This place is 100% legit. These bagels have exactly what I look for: that deep, dark-baked color and a distinct crust on the outside, opening up to that perfect, characteristic chew that only a real NY-style bagel possesses. The Standouts: The Everything Bagel: A classic that does not disappoint. The Everything Asiago: Stop the presses! This is a hidden gem and a total must-try. The Cold Brew: I won't even ask how they make it; something that good just deserves to be paired with an amazing bagel. The "Purist" Test: On my first visit, they asked if I wanted my bagel toasted. As a purist, if the bagels are being made fresh, I don't want them toasted unless I'm eating them days later at home. The fact that this bagel held up perfectly without being toasted proved to me that this is, hands down, the best place to buy bagels in the area. The Service: The cherry on top is the ownership and the staff. I've been in three times now, and the team is consistently warm, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you, Bagel Barn, for bringing a real piece of home to PA!

If you're not a "regular" which it seemed half the people were and half weren't - it's not clear where to go in here for online orders. So I went right up to the line. The workers were super helpful and friendly and there were a lot of them. After checking in and moving to the side I saw they had a spot for online orders to the side. Again not super noticeable but some regulars were directing people. I ordered online and I really liked the options they had. I got an omelette - the radiator and made it a sandwich. This particular your sandwich they recommended as a sandwich so they had the option to make it that. I added bacon and had it on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. The bagel was like super soft - it definitely was not a normal bagel texture. It felt more like eating a sweet roll as it was sweet too. I liked they they had a lot of flavor options but there was no like crispness to the bagel it was just like soft and chewy which was unusual. Ordered another omelette for my fiancé - the regular. Did it with sausage. Didn't seem to be a lot of meat in it. I would have loved this on a sandwich but it's not an option for that for some reason so the bagel was on the side and he just stacked it himself. They did serve fresh hot coffee - would have loved more coffee options. I'll have to give it another go because I want to try some of the other flavors they have and see if I order plain bagels if it's more of a texture I'm used to. This place seems to be popping and I think the food was good but the bagel texture was just weird.

We went there this morning to pick up a raisin challah - we were making French Toast! The challah is excellent - rich, soft and sweet, it has a tender, delicious taste. The raisins added an extra touch of sweetness to the French Toast. Then there are the numerous pastries and cookies. We decided to get a few Hamentashen (chocolate and poppy), a raspberry croissant, a chocolate and a raspberry rugelach, and the most amazing looking Sticky Bun. I'll start with the Sticky Bun. It was exceptional; a soft, fluffy, and slightly chewy dough - challah like, but denser. It was laced with a sticky, caramelized glaze, studded with raisins and walnuts. It was 'melt in your mouth delicious', and a must try. Next up - the raspberry croissant. This is not your typical croissant - I'm used to the plain, or chocolate - I can't recall having a raspberry croissant before. It's one of the best I've had. It combines a flaky buttery croissant with a sweet, tart raspberry filling. The Hamentashen were good - the chocolate was better than the poppyseed - as the later needed much more Mohn (poppyseed paste). The rugelach was good; the raspberry was too sticky, but the chocolate was fine. If you're near Elkins Park, and you haven't tried Rolings Bakery, it's time you did!
