Visited this location for a lunch with colleagues, We were greeted by the staff and seated. We went with Lunch specials thats comes with a soup, apetizer and an entree. This is located in a shopping mall with plenty of parking. The ambiance and decor were very welcoming. The menu has lot of options for everyone. The Lemon grass soup base was good but the chicken in the soup was very hard. The chicken dumpling was perfect and liked a lot. The Thai green curry with chicken and veggies was the best. Rice was cooked perfect too. The wait time for the food was not bad either. If you like Thai food this place must be in your list to try. Prices are okay and on par with other restaurants. Definitely worth it and party of six and everyone enjoyed our food. read more

I had a positive take out experience at Mango Tree Bistro. I will definitely return - the lunch specials look amazing. The Thai tea with jelly was so yum - the ravioli soap, spring rolls and drunken noodles were also so fresh - I like that vegetables are not overcooked. Definitely inquire about spice levels bc they can bring the SPICE if you ask LOL! I hope to return to try the mango sticky rice which seems to be a favorite. A nice discount is offered if you sign up online - so that is just a sweet bonus. The portions definitely serve 2-3. I know 5 stars and this is why. Not only do they have brilliant Thai original faire they also have a whole menu for Vegans/Veges. The food, it is delicious. The staff is knowledgeable about both group. We had Yum tofu and appetizer salad for people was so good the non Vege in our group enjoyed it so much he took his shrimp salad with him home Summer rolls were fresh and crunchy. It's my go to appetizer as it reminds me of home. We had the Drunken Noodles 8/10. As our spice level is not too great , they made it medium for us. It was good 8/10 We also Panang Curry with 2 chilies. It was truly Panama curry and was delicious. Special Shell crabs is amazing. Would have hoped to give this restaurant a 5, however it was just a bit short . Excellent ambience , superb service and very clean . The Massaman Curry fell a little short on the broth and flavor. Seemed it is it was too thick for my liking . Taste was just OK . Spring rolls were very clean and the Tufu was superb but again the peanut sauce lacked some flavor. The ambiance and decor captures the feel of authentic asian dining. For appetizers we enjoyed the ravioli soup and Lemongrass Soup (tom yum). My wife had the Thai Basil entree. I went with the standard Pad Thai. Portions were a decent size. Service was relaxed with neither of our servers appearing to be in a hurry to get our orders or rush us in any way. It was relatively quiet on the Monday evening we visited, but it progressively became busier. I initially worried that my wife's gluten allergy was not taken seriously when the server seemed to nod slightly in acknowledgment when I explained the allergy, but we had no issues whatsoever. First time here and upon entering, I was happily surprised by how nice the inside looks. It's very tastefully decorated, and the layout isn't crowded at all--it's not a big place but they didn't "overstuffed" the place like many small restaurants do. I had pad see ew and my husband had drunk noodle. Both taste good, but personally I think the drunk noodle tasted better. My pad see ew is a bit too tangy/sweet. Service is attentive and friendly. The Basil Fried Rice had mostly rice, very little any vegetables, the shrimp were ok. The TOM KHA soup w/ shrimp had one small shrimp. My first time here for takeout. Good thing too. i love this restaurant and have eaten here so much but felt i had to write this review unfortunately. i got massaman curry from here recently and ended up extremely sick for days with what doctors said was likely food poisoning. i'm still recovering and without getting too graphic.. i am 100% sure the curry is what caused this. i'm heartbroken to write this because ive been to this restaurant SO much and its been nothing but good until this point, but i felt i had to share my most recent experience as i went to the ER for my symptoms which were absolutely brutal. aside from this experience, the food is really good, the massaman curry doesn't seem traditional but i like it. This is a great Thai restaurant. We enjoyed the original location and the new location. One of my favorite dishes is their Massaman Curry. It's a mild curry and they are always happy to adjust the spice level to your taste. We also love their appetizers! The new space is nice and cozy and would be good for a date or quiet meal. We have only gotten takeout from the new location, but the service at the original location was always good. read more

This was my first visit. Dining room is tiny but very cute. There is a good variety on the menu. I started with Coconut soup that's an awesome soup on the menu, followed by Veggie Summer Rolls, they tasted very good with the peanut sauce and they are less calories and better taste than spring rolls:) Drunken noodles with tofu/veggies could have been spicier, but were very tasty regardless. My friend got pad Thai with shrimp and pronounced it very good. They do all the dishes without meat for vegetarians without compromising the taste. Service was pleasant and prompt as usual. I love restaurants that have a lunch/ dinner specials that includes several different items off their menu for a low price. The building is super cute inside very clean lines. Also little touches of organic look and feel Of course I've ordered off the lunch special for 1295 you get 3 course meal so of course I went with the coconut milk soup which is one of my favorites. This soup with hot delicious fresh tasting perfectly Blended. I also went with pork dumplings which I've never had fried the way they had them very unique and of course fresh and delicious. Then I got a spicy basil which was it as spicy as requested by myself. Grace was also perfectly cooked for this. Very good Thai kitchen in the wilds of Norristown, PA. I walked in around 3:30 after a meeting nearby and was the only customer in the house in the between time of lunch and dinner. There were two women preparing vegetables for use that evening. One pointed me in the direction of a small table out of the late afternoon glare of sunlight pouring through the front windows, and under two impressionist Buddhas with inscrutable smiles. Helped set my mood in a peaceful positive frame. I asked for vegetable Drunken Noodles from the menu and hot Green Tea to take the chill of this November day out of me. They both did their jobs admirably. The tea in glazed pot and cup was strong and immediately warmed me. The noodles arrived minutes later on a large pastel blue plate. I asked for Thai Spicy and that was about what I got, although I suspect the chef didn't quite believe me and may have backed off the heat, not knowing that I really wanted the conflagration level and didn't need his lighter touch. Still, very tasty with nice brown sauce and adequate supply of veggies (onion, carrot, broccoli, green bean, tofu and sprig of cilantro). Ate every bit with relish. Service was friendly and efficient, as the ladies continued with dinner prep while I consumed. The dining room was attractive with Asian accents all around, comfortable seating, and plenty of warm light. It was good to have a decent Thai meal after such a long time. read more

I have been told many times that this place is good and I had to try it. My husband and kiddos were along and they love Thai food. So we decided since we were all in town together we would try them for dinner. When we walked in we were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, but they were able to get us a table. They have about 8-12 tables depending if you are putting them together. They are operating in a social distanced limiting seating due to covid. So if you know ahead of time I suggest making a reservation. They also seem to be doing well with take out. I also saw them on DoorDash, and you can call in . I have to saw when you call in the ringtone is great. Nice and easy to listen to than the typical ringtone... ring ring. They also had nice light music playing throughout. The volume of the music was perfec We placed our order fairly quick. We got pineapple fried rice, house salad, Tom yum soup, Tom kha soup, green curry, red curry, panang curry, fried spring rolls, and pad Thai. That's for 4 people hahaha yes we love trying new places and we often get a lot. Our food came out fairly quick and it was piping hot. The house salad was fresh topped with the perfect peanut dressing. It was also a nice large portion for the price. The Tom Kha soup was delicious but lacked a little flavor, same with the Tom yum soup. The spring rolls were nice and light. The sweet and sour sauce with the spring rolls was a perfect match, light. The pineapple fried rice was my favorite! So much flavor, and the pineapple did not over power it. All the curries were flavorful! All the food was presented beautifully! Vegetarians will be super happy at this place that has a whole separate menu section including entrees and apps. there was a lunch special but not every entree was part of this. i got the mango curry which was super delicious and very filling. and i loved that there was a good amount of curry, not just a whole thing of only veggies. they made it without mushrooms for me which i appreciated. the house and veggie dumplings were also really good and i didn't taste any mushroom there either. def looked like a popular spot because by a little after noon, the place was packed even for a weekday but i wouldn't say service was impacted. read more

The food is good. I had the pad thai beef, and mango sticky rice. The sauce of the pad thai is one of my favorite in the area, altho the beef was not as tender as i'd like but still good. Ate there for the first time. The place wasn't busy but service was slow. I ordered duck on the special menu thinking if it's on the special menu, it will be fresh. Unfortunately that was not the case. The duck was very dry and it tasted like it has been cooked previously and re-cooked. I might have ordered the wrong food? I don't know. I ordered from the fixed price meal. 17.95 + 2$ extra for the shrimp. I didn't realize they would up charge me another 2$ for the shrimp in the soup. So my meal turned out to be over 23$ which is a lot to me for a weeknight dinner. . . On the fixed price I had a soup, a choice of appetizer or salad & entree. I ordered the coconut soup and it had mushrooms, scallions and shrimp- it was served piping hot. I got the delicious tulip dumplings. I could not detect the shrimp or crabmeat but I enjoyed them. For the entree I tried the Pad Thai w shrimp. It was rice noodles, shrimp, tofu and bean sprouts and crushed peanuts. I really liked it. We stopped in here for a quick lunch on a recent weekend. We were pretty hungry and were happy it wasn't too busy. The decor here is quite nice and we got a table in a quiet corner. We order two appetizers, neither were show stopper versions compared to other places where we have had the same thing. The fried tofu was barely crispy and the summer rolls had filling that were fresh but more like a hoagie in the textures of the fillings. For entrees, we ordered a green curry with chicken, a pad Thai with tofu and a drunken noodle with tofu. The drunken noodle and green curry were both passable. The pad Thai had thin round noodles, not the usual flat ones and was sickeningly sweet. I definitely would not order it again. We orders a Thai iced green tea which was very floral in taste. Two of us ordered the Thai iced coffee, one without ice for and up charge of $1. The one without ice was not layered with the dairy on top which really ruined it. As far as service, the waitress was sour faced the entire time and did not make us feel welcome at all. Considering that the place was not busy, only two other tables, I expected better service. The menu has all the traditional Thai favorites plus some new combinations and chef's specials. There were lots of tempting appetizers to chose from and the three we ordered were excellent. It's only $13.99 with soup, appetizers and entree! Very great deal! Usually the price of the entree is higher than this whole lunch special. Definitely love their coconut soup, very creamy and tasty. The Tom yum was good too but not as good as the coconut. The appetizers were okay. I usually love the salad. But it's too cold in winter to enjoy that. The spring roll was very crunchy on the outside and tasty inside. The Thai dumplings were okay. Not a big fan of it. The entree size is huge! Must be the same as dinner! I had the drunken noodles, which is a little bit too oily. But it's supposed to be that way. My husband had the evil jungle princess, very tasty with lots of veggies! Great local Thai restaurant that can cater to gluten and dairy allergies. The menu does not mention this, but I've been there more than many times over the past few years and each time they always take care of me. The are knowledgable about various items that can be made gluten free vs the ones that cannot. Tonight's dinner was Tropical Cashew, a chef's special, and was absolutely delicious. My girlfriends got Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice, and both enjoyed their meal as well. Not busy at all for a Monday night, had a reservation, but only about four tables had customers. The menu is colorful and has some photos; it also offers lots of choices. The service was excellent. Friendly servers; water glasses stayed full. Food was AMAZING! Hot, fresh, and absolutely packed with flavor. I tried so many different things (we shared some stuff), but my main dish was the Vegetarian Drunken Noodle. This is my favorite Thai dish; I've eaten it all over the country, and I'd say this one is in my top 2! It was perfect. My hubby had the Drunken Noodle with beef, and he said the meat was a little on the dry/tough side, but otherwise enjoyed it. I should have passed on the dessert, but wanted to try the Tropical Island. I ordered take out from them a few times recently and the experience varied. The first time I ordered Massaman Curry and pineapple fried rice, both are delicious and with big portions. The next couple times I ordered Massaman Curry, it's more like a soup with not much inside. Minus the sauce, it's probably just 60% of what we had the first time. Not sure if they re just cutting down food portion due to rising prices, but what's there definitely is not enough for one person as a main dish. Given that it's just chicken and some veggie, not sure they really save that much. The ordering process is pretty straight forward, I usually just go through their website and it's pretty fast and easy, also get 10% discount if you order through their web site instead of the food delivery services. read more
