Sadly I had to take down my past 5 star recommendation! Friday May 27th 2022! This is the worst EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I have been coming here for the last 6 years-- EVEN AFTER HURRICANE MICHAEL!!!!! Yes thats right been a loyal customer when everyone else stayed away i still supported them, while in a tent in their parking lot!! Was Assaulted by 2 women customers (Not locals). Then the owner (KATHY) came to me like I did something wrong!!!!! (ok I might have have told the woman to F*** herself and leave me alone!) Since she wouldn't get away from me@ my table! basically the owner threw me out!!!! Before she even heard or knew the situation... PS- i wish i was drunk to not remember the way i was treated!!!! We waited for over an hour and a half for two burgers and two salads had to find our waitress to see what was going on with our order and then at the end we realized that our burgers had been sitting in the window for over 15 minutes waiting on the salads to be done at the same time. Burger was luke warm at best while fries were dry and cold. read more

We ordered grouper. It was the thinest piece of fish. Frozen fish sticks would have had more taste. The only good thing was the sweet potato fries. Which we ate. Service was good that was the only good thing, but then again we were early! read more

Absolutely terrible service. My family (parents, sister and I) are traveling because my dad is terminally ill and has a year left to live. My dad used to visit Mexico Beach often when he did testing on the base nearby and wanted to see it again. We chose Mango Marley's for lunch because it seemed handicap accessible, which we need because my dad has a walker due to his disease. When we entered the restaurant, the host seemed annoyed that we were there. He had us go stand on the side, near the locked up merchandise (which was concerning, are cheap t-shirts really that valuable??). We stood and stood as the host catered to tables full of spring breakers. Other employees saw us standing there and other patrons gave us the look of "run". My poor dad was having trouble standing there, waiting for a table for so long, despite the fact that at least half of the tables were empty and most of them were cleared off as well. Still, the host helped the tables of teenagers, who were legitimately fanning themselves with $100 bills, instead of seating the terminally ill, disabled man who was clearly uncomfortable. It's apparent that the host cared more about getting big tips from the pretty, young girls waving $100 bills since that's what he was doing, not serving them food or something that was on a time crunch. We left and the host didn't even apologize or anything. read more

When you're in Mexico Beach you have very few good options. It's almost weird. But the reviews are all subpar, which also isn't encouraging. BUT MANGO MARLEYS reviews don't do them justice. Located on the main strip, a 1 min drive from the ocean front hotel, Marleys is a beach side restaurant with a pretty beach themed menu. Lots of options.. even for non seafood eaters like me ;) I went with the wings. And when you order the wings, you get to order from 25 sauce options. I LOVE SAUCES. I can't remember what I got, but the wings were great ! The sweet potato fries were delicious too. The service was on point and the ambiance was very exciting. This restaurant is geared toward families, couples and anyone who wants a great affordable dinner. I will be going back the next time I'm in Mexico Beach that's for sure ! read more

Glad to see they have been able to re-open as of early December! Enjoyed a grilled shrimp po'boy and a fried shrimp po'boy as well as a grilled shrimp platter. Also tried a few mixed drinks. Everything was fresh and nicely cooked. Loved that the po'boys had a nice French roll instead of a dry bun. Staff was very friendly and service was fast. read more

Updated as of 3.29.2023 Mango Marleys has successfully made it to a 1star establishment for us! Never will return. Went with group of 6 for lunch. Got seated right away. 2 waitresses came by to say they'd be back to take drink order. 15 min pass and our drink order along with food order was taken. Ordered appetizer along with entrees. Drinks took forever to get. Food arrived after 1 hr and 18 minutes. You guessed it, food was cold. Appetizer was never brought out, side salads never brought out. One kids meal still not brought out.When kids Hamburger meal came, burger too red on inside to eat as kid freaked out seeing red. Fried plantains were burnt and cold. Shrimp way over cooked to the point you can't even chew it, like rubber. Horrible place, tourist trap for sure! They count on the one and done customers for sure. Because no one would be a regular at this establishment with the food they serve. And yes, this was all brought up and all the Mgr could say was sorry. ***********Original review********* We live here, support all restaurants year round. My last review of Mango Marley's was a 5 star. Today however I am giving it 2 stars. For 24.99 for the fish and shrimp dinner, I could have cooked better looking food myself at home. According to our waitress who talked to the chef, the fish fell apart taking it out of fryer to plate. Instead of frying another piece and making it right, he pieced together whatever he could Salvage and sent it out. Our waitress offered to fry another piece for me which we declined. This should have been done to begin with. Not have a 24.99 meal brought out like this in hopes that the customer will accept it. The wings my husband ordered were delivered to another table. Sat down in front of customer as the waitress continued to give other dishes out to other table. Another waitress came over and took the wings away from that customer and returned them to window where food is ready to be picked up. Our waitress goes and picked up those wings and proceeded to bring to our table. I'm sorry but with covid going on, once you serve a dish it needs to stay where you served it. 140.00 for 4 people to eat here with each having one drink is outrageous for the type of food being served. Stopped over at Mango Marleys for lunch on a drive through. The drinks hit the spot right off the bat. Definitely recommend the Gulf Coast Breeze. We got 2 burgers, which were cooked great and tasted even better. If you want a sweeter side, opt for the plantains. So very delicious, and a perfect end to the Kahuna Burger. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying around Mexico Beach, or just driving through. read more

When in Mexico Beach, it's only appropriate to go on a Tour de Mahi. I ate mahi tacos everywhere we went. Mango Marley's is, by far, the best. They're fairly simple but the mango salsa they put on top is so good and really sets them off! They have approximately a million wing sauce flavors and the wings are fantastic. The decor is perfect for where we were at...staff extremely nice, made suggestions and promoted their product. (You would be surprised how often that does not happen). First the red beans & rice were terrific, nicely seasoned and had great flavor, next I had the Mahi burger, first time for me, and it did not disappoint...sweet potato fries to go along and I was set. This place got cudo points from me right off the bat since it was one of the few places open for a late lunch early dinner. My husband and I ordered the homemade chips as an appetizer, I ordered the fish sandwich with fried plantains and my husband got some chicken wings with a side order of fried plantains. The homemade chips were nothing fancy but still delicious and fresh. The fish sandwich was good. I liked the fact that the fish filet was large so you can really taste the fish not just the bun which I've run into at other places. I would've like the filet a little crunchier but that's my personal taste. My husbands wings were tasty but again the skin on the wings were a bit soggy for my liking. The fried plantains were excellent! Being that I'm Hispanic I've eaten plantains a lot in my life. These were cooked perfectly and I believe they added cinnamon which made them extra sweet and delicious. I would defiantly eat here again to try some more of there menu items. read more

Went there twice with a group of friends and overall it was a good experience. Service: The waiter was very nice and attentive. The place was packed the second time so the appetizers took longer and the drinks went a WHILE without being refilled, so waiter gave us both for free. Food: The fried fish sandwich with a side of plantains was the bomb. The mahi mahi was good, but the side of rice was not all that good. I wish the portion was bigger. Price: Not bad for the quality. Mango's was always a favorite while vacationing in Mexico Beach. I'm now a local and this is my second time dining here since the relaunch. I must say the food was really good and the staff while mostly brand new and still learning on the fly was very friendly and polite. The prices are obviously a little steep....but hey if you're on vacation you are probably splurging anyways, so go ahead and enjoy the great food and good atmosphere! read more

Bartender does not know how to make a simple drink. Pina coloda taste like water and rum. Waitress rude. Menu is very basic and best thing we had was tater tots. We've been to Mangos many times but tonight was the last straw. We'll drive to PSJ or PCB before we go back to this place. Hostesss was rude and wouldn't seat us because they were waiting on a reservation for a group of 27 people. ( Which the party was not even there, the tables where empty) And when a table got up and we asked to be seated, the response was "I'm sorry but it's a 20 min wait because the kitchen is to busy." We stumbled in here by chance because it was a Tuesday after Xmas and not much was open. We however left unanimously pleased. The fried mushrooms and buffalo bites were great starters! (Mom says excellent!) Appeared to be house-breaded, definitely NOT the standard fare button 'shrooms. I had a margarita that was just as like (frothy on top because it was shaken.) mom had their Caribbean Queen and will sleep tight tonight. #rum For my meal I had the parm crusted redfish which was cooked perfectly with a crispy, tasty crust. The spicy mayo was a great compliment. My mom and sis both had bacon wrapped shrimp, both thought they were very tasty and came with generous helpings of sweet potato fries. We all commented that the Brother In Law's PoBoy was full of jumbo sized shrimp! On top of the great foot, service was really good, too. The server was attentive, accurate and charming. Marley's is always our first meal in Mexico Beach! We had lunch today, and the Jerk chicken sandwich was awesome as always. I had the fried shrimp and fish basket...everything was great. Tarter sauce was salty and not sweet, cocktail sauce had a bite but wasn't HOT, fish and shrimp were fried perfectly, not greasy or soggy, and tasted great. We went on a Sunday night. Most of the other restaurants in town were closed and Marley's was packed. They only had one waiter on duty and she was doubling as the barkeeper. They finally had a dish wash boy come out to help, but it was impossible to get a refill or any attention other than take your order and deliver it to the table (after a long delay). The food was OK but they messed up our order and we didn't get everything we ordered. After having observed what was happening in the restaurant and the grumbles of most of the others in the restaurant, we were glad to get our check and get out of here. We'll probably try it again sometime, but my expectations are not very high. read more

Just ate here for the first time. Service was absolutely wonderful. Our server was Crystal E., and she was friendly, attentive and saw to our every request. The bartender, Crystal M. was also very friendly and accommodating and made a mean cocktail! The food was good but slightly overpriced, which is expected in a tourist town. Packed President's Day weekend. So great to see this small beach town thriving in "off season". Atmosphere is fun with live, local music. Fried fish & shrimp is delicious. Shrimp Po Boy is my son's favorite. Watermelon margarita is nice but I do wish they'd serve in glasses instead of plastic cups. Nothing special about the fries so I suggest the tator tots or red beans & rice is good also. The only thing I don't likeis they don't have hush puppies!! Crazy huh? read more

Food set in front of us 45 minutes after order was taken. Total wait time from being seated to food arriving to table 1 hour 15 minutes. Food was room temperature and mediocre. if you are familiar with Mexico Beach and the devastation from Hurricane Michael, you know most of the businesses in town were wiped out or damaged too much to reopen. Mango Marley's is one of those places but came up with a creative work around until they can rebuild. They have a food truck and tent in the parking lot, and were open within weeks of the storm. They are serving burgers, dogs, burritos, and THE best chicken salad sandwich I've had in a long time. Sides are simple- Mac salad, chips or fruit. Canned drinks or cold tea with no ice. It's not fancy, but you have well prepared food and a place to sit in the shade with a fan. Prices are reasonable for the area, and remember you are helping a local establishment stay in business until they can rebuild. If you are passing thru, coming to the beach for the weekend, working on rebuilding the area, or one of many living in trailers while your home is being rebuilt- please buy a meal from here! The food here is nothing to write home about. If you're looking for decent wings and your standard 4-5 beers on tap this might be a good option as there is not much to choose from in Mexico Beach. The atmosphere there is kind of strange. There is a bar area which is actually pretty nice on one side, and on the other side is a run down looking cafeteria like seating arrangement. Pretty odd. The staff there is always really nice. However, I'd recommend Killer Seafood as the better option if your looking for good food. read more

Our family of 8 had been waiting over an hour for our food, when the very polite (new) waitress came over and informed us that she had forgotten to put in our food order. When we asked to speak to the manager to request a discount, he told us that he could only give us a $20 gift card to come back to the restaurant. When I asked to speak to the owner, this Zach the manager person suddenly became extremely defensive and threatened to "go get Sgt. " someone. The boys had their food within 15 minutes, but oddly mine and my husband's (which were salads) had not made their way to the table. We cancelled our orders, paid the bill, and left. Before leaving I asked our very nice waitress if she knew the name of the owner, and she came back and said her staff said I could "go look it up on facebook for myself." I understand that mistakes happen, but the way I as treated as a customer was unacceptable. I will be following up with the owners since they need to know who is the face of their restaurant and how he is running their business. read more

My husband and I have been ordering to go all week since we've been on vacation. We have 2 young kids and our toddler is so unpredictable so it's easier for us(and for the sake of everyone else in the restaurant ) to just get it to go. Our order has always been correct and we love that they put all the fixin's on the side to keep the food fresh. We order something different each time and we haven't found anything we don't like. Food - The food wasn't worth the price. Between the five of us, we had two kinds of wings, Mac and cheese, chicken and shrimp, and the fried plantains. The fried plantains were the best by far. This place was recommended to us...so basically the person who recommended it has been completely discredited and will never try his recommendation again. One star for the basic food that was good. I ordered the fish sandwich and my boyfriend ordered a burger. The wings were average. The service. What service? We had a server? You mean the person the person who took our order and delivered our check was a server? Our server really had no idea what was going on or that she was employed to provide a service. There does seem to be other people employed there that know what being a server means, and this person was helpful. Delicious wings!! Fresh and tasty salads oh and don't forget the crispy French fries ! I recommend the Mango Memosa light and crisp, a great, cool beverage to the palate.
