Cute little smoothie/latte cafe in Des Plaines. Wanted to find a café to meet up a few friends and walk around the park and found this place on yelp that I was excited to try. The drinks look amazing and they tasted amazing as well. The inside of the café is also adorable and decorated with plants and cute tables. They have smoothies that are made fresh with fruit as well as Matcha lattes and regular lattes and they also have milk teas. It was a nice day out and they were shortstaffed, but the owner inside was super friendly and accommodating. He apologized for the long wait and made up for it by giving us muffins. It was no problem at all, but it was a nice gesture. I'm glad I was able to try the banana nut muffin. They are all freshly baked and delicious with cute packaging so they make a perfect little gift. I got the passionfruit smoothie which tasted really refreshing on this hot day. My friends got the Matcha mango latte which they said was tasty and not that sweet. I really like Matcha and do not like lattes that are too sweet so that would be perfect for me. I look forward to coming back to try some more of the drinks here and even the pastries. There was a pistachio muffin that looked really good. If you are in the area, you should definitely come grab a refreshing drink from Mango House Café. There is plenty of parking in the lot as well as around the plaza. There is also a very nice park by the aquatic center that has a walking trail as well as a playground and fields for soccer and courts for basketball and sand volleyball. It's a nice way to spend an afternoon and grab a refreshing drink while walking on the path.

This cafe is in a small plaza on Algonquin road. There's some parking available. This cafe has no wifi and there is no restroom. You place your order through self-service. Though the Vietnamese Thai tea latte was tasty, the no wifi and no restroom feels unwelcoming and we didn't stay long.

Amazing. This family owned cafe not only has great customer service, but they go out of their way to make sure you're getting the best experience possible. Flavors are epic. This is not your normal cafe; their smoothies are flavorful and cold/hot drinks are yum. And so pretty as well. The front of the house is a tablet to order your drink (card only), and so you can order easily and know what you're paying without question. The ambiance of this place is so nice too. Light music in the background reminds me of a speakeasy. If you're wanting some new flavors that are definitely new to your palette, give this place a try. I know I will be coming back over and over again.

**Mango House Cafe - Hidden Gem!** Visiting family here and stumbled upon Mango House Cafe. My expectations were pretty low since I'm from an area where new dessert cafes and juice spots pop up all the time--most are good, but it's hard to stand out. Pleasantly surprised. The cafe has a super cozy and inviting atmosphere with lovely decor. The staff were very friendly and the drinks were ordered (Mango Matcha Latte and Vietnamese Iced Latte) were very good - smooth, flavorful, and just the right balance of flavor and sweet. Definitely a recommend. The two drinks were better than many of the places I've been to back home in OC.

Mango House Cafe will be such as asset in Des Plaines community! The place is small, and cute but the cafe is a breath of fresh air with its super clean and cozy atmosphere. They have tables with bench seating and some chairs with tables in the front. The service is top-notch, and I love the modern touch of ordering on an iPad and picking up at the counter--it's super efficient and with Apple Pay, it makes it so much easier! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. We tried the Taro smoothie, which came in at #2 for flavor. While I'm not usually a big taro fan, it was still tasty, but the real stars of the show were the Mango and Cloud smoothies. The Mango was sweet and refreshing with some real mango chunks, while the Cloud had a delightful sour kick and a creamy yogurt base. I couldn't stop thinking about them all weekend--they were that good! We will be back soon!!! The prices are very reasonable, with smoothies averaging around $6-7 each. For the quality and flavor, it's definitely worth it. I'm already planning my next visit to try their Vietnamese coffee, which I have always loved Vietnamese coffee! The only minor downfall is the parking lot, which tends to fill up quickly. But honestly, it's a small price to pay for such a fantastic spot. I've been raving about Mango House Cafe to everyone I know, and I'm so glad Des Plaines has a place like this. Highly recommend stopping by--you won't be disappointed, and what better way to support our community. Prior to mango house my family and I would make a drive to Glenview, so this is amazing for us!!! Not to mention, it's walking distance from my home

My sister has been raving about Mango House Cafe and I finally went. The smoothies are absolutely delicious and made with real fruit/ingredients!! The service was incredible, I decided to split a smoothie with my mom and the owner heard and offered to make us the size in two different cups (super sweet!!). A nice new gem in Des Plaines!

Love this adorable cafe! Amazing drinks, friendly service, cute decor, little bakery treats. All the drinks I've tried have been amazing! Highly recommend the Viet Taro Coffee! Only wish they had outlets so I could bring my laptop to do some work here!

    Strawberry matcha latte- mmmmm

I have come here 3 times in the past week. It is soooooo good!!!!! Every drink is yummy and not too sweet. And i love that they don't ask for tips. No tip jar, no tip area on the receipt, nothing. What a refreshing change from every other drink place!!!

    Thai iced tea

Awesome place!!! Unique menu options, chill ambience great to study or catch up with a friend. Very friendly staff too. I had the Thai iced tea it was perfect level of sweetness and can tell it uses great ingredients.

    Mango matcha smoothie

This is a gem that everyone must check out! The ambience is cute and cozy. The owners, Sean and Linda, are friendly and welcoming. And the drinks are all delicious. They are not as sweet as other mainstream coffee shops.

Each place has a theme, or a charm all its own and Grind N Gears Cafe is one of the latter. When you pull up you immediately recognize the place as a former body shop or service station. Not a as station, but a body shop. They have their own small parking lot in front with special motorcycle parking on the sides of the lot. It's a small place. When you walk inside there is a runner leading up to the counter with their case of delicious looking eats and a platform above with an old Indian motorcycle perched looking over the place. To the right of the counter are some toys for the kids, including a kids motorcycle and other funs toys to keep the kiddos busy while their parents enjoy a magically concocted coffee drink by the shops artisans. There are comfy little sitting areas composed of oversized furniture from your parents basement. The front has a few racks of leather jackets that feels like your at The Alley's northern location. They do have some hats and apparel for their own shop and I almost bought a hat. On the left side, they have another seating area, but it looks more like a table in a cozy kitchen than a sitting room. It's quaint no matter where you look or sit. Lastly, their drinks and food are quite good. With all the stand alone coffee places popping up, Grinds N Gears is one of the cooler places and I don't mean hipster.

I really like the look of the inside, it's very aesthetic and will likely appeal to these young American Tik Tok/IG girls. However, as Chicago's first Pakistani-themed cafe, I was hoping for a more authentic experience. I know their menu is half American and half Pakistani. I think 95% Pakistani would have been better. The pancakes, French toast, chicken cajun pasta, and chicken club sandwich, people can get that literally anywhere. The Pakistani food you can't. I ordered the paratha smash burger and honey cardamom matcha hot. The honey cardamom was great, not very sweet at all. The paratha was crispy and the smash burger was juicy. I really enjoyed the sauce on top of the burger. I would definitely come back here for that. Service was very friendly and helpful. I would give this place a 4. I would really love to see more Pakistani food on the menu as well as advertised on your social media. The Americanized food catering to Americans doesn't do the Pakistani culture justice.
