Apple pie (made locally from a bakery)

Excellent new find for us out of towners. Small Italian restaurant with a cozy, warm atmosphere. Love the Frank Sinatra music! The food was spectacular. All 3 of us were moaning as we ate, literally. Although we were stuffed, we ordered desert and, again, it was delicious. The pace of food coming out took a very, very long time, so don't arrive starving. That aside, we enjoyed it and will be back!

Chocolate Cake from a Bundt pan

I liked the spaghetti and meatballs for a main course, and a piece of chocolate cake for dessert. The cake was baked in a Bundt pan.

    Gnocchi. Just...couldn't possibly be better.

Absolutely blown away by our dinner at Mangia last night. Without question the most sublime Italian food I've *ever* had. It'd been a rough week, and, boy, was this place exactly what I needed. We've tried most places in Manchester, and in 20 years, nothing has come close to this perfection. A thousand times better than the usual bastardized American versions of Italian food. The gnocchi were not the heavy, dense garbage usually served. Mangia's were airy and light in a wonderfully balanced tomato cream sauce with melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella. Linguine with clam sauce had a rich, broth-y sauce, and the Alfredo managed to avoid being thick and overly rich. And, my god, that chocolate/hazelnut gelato affogato was HEAVEN!. There is only one chef here who makes every dish to order and his love for cooking shows. We will go back again and again! To boot, the small restaurant is charming with impeccable service from someone who clearly adores her job. Although, how could she not be happy while delivering these dishes? Their online menu doesn't begin to show what they can really do! We got a separate menu with well over 10 specials, and we were told that we could basically order anything we wanted that *wasn't* on the menu. I also asked if we could order 1/2 plates in order to try things, which wouldn't have been a problem, but we got whole orders and gobbled everything up, lol. I'm in loooooove!

    Bruschetta & Garlic Bread

A hidden gem! I have passed this restaurant many times and finally decided to give them a try. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic. There are wine bottles everywhere, however the restaurant is BYOB. The food is phenomenal and fairly priced. We shared the bruschetta and garlic bread.. bruschetta was very good. I ordered the gnocchi alla sorrentina.. I definitely recommend it! My boyfriend had the chicken parmigiana and cleared the plate, (pasta was fresh/homemade). The staff was busy but very attentive. Bathrooms were clean and private.

    The Poor Man Spaghetti- delicious
    Ben W.

The poor man's sphaghetti was pretty delicious! Usually don't go out to eat for italian food but this was suprisingly great! The mixture of flavor with the sphaghetti doused in a savory olive oil with parsley and garlic was something that I wouldn't expect from Manchester. The Bruschetta wasn't the best and seemed like it was made half hazardly but the thing that pushes the review back to a 3 was the service. The server was rude and not helping us out with recommendations being that it was our first time here. She was sazzy and treated us like another table that I don't have time for.

Is there a bar for martinis?

Yes! While there is no bar, Mangia has recently received their liquor license. They have many cocktail, beer, and wine --including sparkling wine choices available.

The Chicken Parmigiano was cooked perfectly, had excellent flavor, but for me there was not just not enough cheese. I like my chicken to be covered- or most of it. The pasta was excellent. So together for me, it's an 7/10. My friend 9/10. The Roman Salad- essentially a Caesar, had great dressing, but the huge dissapointment, was grated cheese. For $15, I want actual Parmesan. I won't be getting that again. We also got a Greek Salad, and 2 Add 1 Polpetti. I was told the salad was good, we couldn't add grilled chicken today because of issues on DoorDash, hence the Add 1 Polpetti. The only comment on the meatballs was that they came with no sauce- while they were tasty, they expected sauce. (Makes sense)?! Overall, the food was fresh, and flavorful. I am not sure if we would order again? For the cost, I expect more. They seemed super helpful, and friendly. Since this was delivery, I can't speak to ambiance!

I tried the chicken broccoli pizza and it was honestly unbelievable. Chicken and broccoli is usually a heavier style pizza, but somehow they kept it thin and crispy. I don't know how they pulled that off, but the crust still had a perfect crunch while holding all the toppings without getting soggy. Everything tasted fresh and the balance of flavors was spot on. Places like Sally's Apizza and Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana get a lot of the spotlight, but if Pizza by Rocco had a prime time location and more exposure, I honestly think they'd be competing in the same conversation. Manchester is lucky to have a spot like this. Definitely worth checking out. Seems like the guys that run the place are really solid people as well, will definitely be back.

The wife stated she prefers Regina's out of the north end of Boston and I agreed. The Greek salad was very good but the dressing comes in a very small container. We should've asked for at least one more for the size of the salad. The prices on the wall menu are $1-$2 dollars more so keep that in mind. Minimal street parking. Our pizza was $22. No ambiance to speak of. No ac so I felt bad for the chef back there. I waited outside as it was much cooler.

I really wanted fish but being from the Boston area I hesitate to order when I'm away especially if I'm not right on the ocean. Anyhow I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the haddock sandwich and the mussels appetizer to go back to the hotel. I can't think of one thing that didn't impress me. First the sandwich, HUGE, fresh, nicely fried piece of haddock packaged beautifully on a bed of lettuce with a nice wedge of lemon; brioche bun lightly toasted and buttered bagged separately; tarter sauce and coleslaw (loved the coleslaw!) on the side. This came with a side ( I chose sweet potato fries). The mussels appetizer, delicious, fresh and enough for a meal for my daughter and I! The broth was so good we could drink it out of the bowl, but we were lucky enough to have a nice bag of toasted bread served with them to sop it up with. All this for under $40! I also have to mention the waitstaff was super attentive and helpful even though it was Friday night and there was a lot going on. That kind of professionalism did not go unnoticed. The ambiance is a little noisy but it's a raw bar that has sports on. The food is delicious. I could have eaten the Cippino forever! The broth was a complex delicious and perfectly spiced tomato base. The seafood was plentiful and large sized. I have never seen shrimp so big! I also ate oysters and had an amazing home made peaches and cream cheese cake. Listen I don't really like cheese cake but I could eat that cake everyday for the rest of my life. Everything from start to finish once I sat down. Was delicious and the staff was very kind. This food was fired fresh in the kitchen. I could see if from my bar seat.
