This new restaurant is located within Vela Terraces hotel. It was down the block from where my family was staying (Tapyas Hotel). We were walking to a different restaurant when we passed by this place. An employee, who we later found out was the lead chef, happened to be walking out and we asked him about the food there. I want to share my experience so tourists like myself would not miss out on this place! The lead chef, Mark, was very nice and hospitable and answered all the questions my parents had--and they ask a lot of questions. We wanted to have dinner here for the following night after our tour, but we weren't sure what time. He said we can call the next morning to tell him what time we'll be coming and so they can get us the catch of the day (it was crab that day). He even gave us his personal number to help us out. The next night at the restaurant, Mark was there throughout our meal to make sure that everything was right and that we were satisfied even if it was his day off. I would give the restaurant more stars if I could just for the service alone. Even the other staff there were friendly. The food was delicious! The muscle soup was gingery and sweet. The shrimp and crab were sweet and juicy. There was also pork pinakbet, marinated chicken, cheesy clams, fish, and seaweed. Con: -The restroom is downstairs so you have to go up and down to wash your hands, if you like to wash them a lot like me. They have a bowl of warm water and kalamansi that you can clean your hands with before/after your boodle Fight. -I was eating the veggies off the pinakbet and it was a bit salty. Other than that, the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

Hostess wasn't the happiest of staff but that's ok. She was very attentive and helpful. Plenty of other staff around as well. Outdoor covered seating which meant fans as only air blowing. Ordered full rack of pork ribs, Tanigue Kinilaw and seafood carbonara. All very very good. Ribs came connected with the vertebrae bone or something so we couldn't separate the ribs. Ask the kitchen to cut the ribs for us and they still could not. Kinda funny but we dug in. Also ordered ube nangka turon with cheese ice cream. Some items on menu not available but we found other good choices. Now, if bugs are not your thing... This might not be the place for you. Wood beetles in our table. Skeeters around that they even lit up coils bad we sat down. A couple ants crawling around our plates but that's protein for you. Not the most comfortable of environments but the food was great.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The restaurant was clean and electric fam on and working well. We arrived at this restaurant before the dinner crowd. We had no ideas what to order until we received the menu. We ordered seaweed salad, grilled squid, fried tuna tail, pork belly, garlic rice, and bagoong meat with egg plant. We did over order. The food was authentic, great service and the food tasted very good. I highly recommend this restaurant. Just remember I do suggest reservations if coming to dinner. When I return to Coron- I will come back to this restaurant.

We started with a Mango Shake and ordered the All-Meat Boodle Fight for two and Pancit Canton. It took a bit for us to get our food and all in all, we thought the boodle fight was A-OK. The All-Meat Boodle Fight included chicken, pork belly, eggplant salad with rice. Though it seemed like it would be a lot since it was a boodle fight, we thought the portion was small. The grilled chicken was good, but the portion was not enough for two people, and the pork belly had way too many fatty pieces, so didn't eat much of the pork one. It was shame, too, since the pork had great flavor. Eggplant salad was very good and liked that it was included. And it was actually a relief that we ordered the Pancit Canton on the side to fill up on, which was a good dish with lots of calamansi flavor! Service was good and there is a full bar here with a sink in the dining area to wash your hands before and after you're done with your meal. But we weren't too impressed with our boodle fight, which is what the restaurant is known for. Glad to have had a boodle fight while in the Philippines, but it was far from the best.
