Recommended by the towns folk. An open seafood restaurant with fresh catch. They offer a variety of seafood caught by the local fishermen. Atmosphere has that open vibe not fancy but food was good. A little pricey cause you're in an island. Servers are very attentive to your needs. No AC

Lobster king seafood resto bar was recommended by our hotel on our first night on the island of Coron, Palawan. The place is a typical provincial restaurant, with nothing noteworthy about the ambiance or motif but outside the restaurant, they have a large aquarium with sizeable sea creatures in captivity. They were so busy when we visited that I had to hail staff to get our orders going. For a party of two, we decided to delve into deep-fried grouper, crispy calamari for an appetizer, and shrimp on tamarind soup dish. The dishes are freshly made and we were pleased with the price point. They offered fresh lobsters and crabs if you are all for it. Overall this place is a no-frill, no-hassle restaurant. This place is recommended if you are craving some fresh seafood that won't break your bank account.

Oh wow Im shocked to see how low the ratings were for this bc I thought the food was good. A bit pricey though. The service was okay but we did have to call them a bunch for items. The fresh buko was good but the meat inside was tough. The lobster & crab were delicious - they cook it how you want. It was walking distance from the zuri resort but you can also call for a van or tricycle if you don't want to walk.

Excellent restaurant including their service. We ordered grilled clams with garlic butter, fresh Lapu-Lapu, Spicy Fish Kilawen and 4 pcs of their 400 grams Lobsters steamed with garlic butter. Everything was fresh and delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant whenever you're in Coron.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Coming from America where really good quality food is expensive as all hell, you will spend well over $100.00 for a decent meal and not very much food and compared to a lot of seafood restaurants here in America the seafood here local and pretty damn fresh!! From what were told none of the seafood is "imported" which is a big deal! Yes I do 1000000% agree the service is slow as hell and definitely not a 5 start restaurant but when we went the place was super packed! Plus the food and price you pay for is no way near comparable to what you will pay for in America. $50.00 US dollars will go a very long way for just 2 people to have dinner here, pretty much a damn feast!! I didn't get to take pictures of all that we ordered since my phone died. I was able to take a photo of their cucumber salad which was really good! We ordered 4 different seafood dishes, 3 different sides, a total of 6 smoothies with 3 for each of us since the glasses were tiny so you can't just have 1! With all that food the total was less than $30!! That is unheard of here in America! So yes I will give this place 5 stars! I am sure there are far better ones on the island but given that we only were able to stay for 2 nights our sight seeing was very limited. Coron.... until next time!!

Grilled lobster! The bigger your lobster, the higher the price per kilo.

This place will be recommended by the locals if you ask for seafood. It was a pretty busy place, but also pretty pricey compared to the other places we've visited. There are a lot of tourist here, and a various choices to cook the different seafood you choose. It's worth to try, but the wait is long. And make sure to bring your own napkins. Napkins are pretty scarce in the Philippines where ever you go!

We were directed to a nipa hut for seating and offered menus immediately. No AC but we did have a fan in our hut that was helpful in circulating air in the section. We ordered one of the seafood platters, fried chicken with fries, kang kong with garlic, mushrooms, long silog, a fresh buko juice, and a few soft drinks-Coke, Sprite, bottled water. The food came out almost immediately (the long silog was the last to come out). The fried chicken (by photo had 4 pieces and fries) was only 3 pieces with fries. Pretty tasty and definitely different from fried chicken back home. The kang kong was really good, especially with extra amounts of garlic. Same with the mushrooms, although I ate around the green chiles since I don't really do spice. I did like the platter of seafood--delicious fish, 2 clams were pretty good with seasoning, 6 shrimp with garlic, and small amount of kang kong with some garlic. Honestly, the platter was more appropriate to feed 2 to even 3 people (if that). The long silog came and was as expected with the rice, egg, 2 links of longganisa and some fresh fruit. The fresh buko was huge with a lot of coconut juice and meat inside. It came with a spoon and straw to sip out juice/scoop out meat. The presentation was amazing, but I felt like you were paying more for the look and less for the food portions. Service was also a bit sporadic. They were pretty attentive up until we got the food but I feel like they were under staffed for the amount of people in the venue. Also note that you have to use a tabo for hand washing and using the toilet. No running water here. The toilets and handwash area are located at the back of the restaurant and a hand wash sink area set up more central to the restaurant When checking out at the front, we were given the option of cash or charge. If you do charge, it is a 10% service fee.

Many seating options for you to choose from: traditional tables and chairs, low tables where you can sit on the floor, or a nipa hut style booth. No aircon but the fans are sufficient in the morning or at night when it's cooler. We felt adventurous, so we tried: - Crocodile sisig - Meat was ground up, couldn't really appreciate the crocodile meat's taste and texture. It would be better if meat was cut up into chunks instead. - Bird's Nest Soup - made from nests collected locally. This was a tasty soup, similar in texture and taste to a Chinese egg drop soup. - Sizzling Garlic Kangkong - tasty - Ensaladang Lato (Seaweed salad) - think of popping boba from the sea. - Roasted chicken - ok - Lechon Kawali - hard to chew - Sinigang na isda - ok - Complimentary fish or shrimp crackers - crunchy and tasty. Friendly accommodating staff, relaxing atmosphere with piano music playing in the background, and Island cats lounging under the tables waiting for your scraps: it's a solid place to have a meal.

It has all the signs and symptoms of a tourist trap, BUT it doesn't have to come with bad food. The food here is very good. In all actuality, the food here is pretty much chef inspired. It's delicious and it's calibrated to cater to the foreign toungue. Why wouldn't you order the seafood here? Look around you! 360° of ocean water. NO JOKE! Three things that jumped out and spoke to me was the Kilawin (filipino version of cevice), sea grape salad, and the Prawns (shrimp on steroids) La Serenita style. Let's talk about the Prawns La Sirenetta. I don't know who did the sauce, but it's mouth smashingly exquisite! Strong garlicky note with creamy coconut white wine sauce is truly out of this world. The sea grapes are a local thing with a western twist. I'm used to just eating this tossed with just tomatoes. The western twist with the vinaigrette is different, but it works. The tuna chunks,,, if you like sashime, you'll love this dish. Don't bother ordering the sea grapes and the tuna chunks if you're the chicken fingers and potato sticks type of person. Trust me, your tastebuds are too ignorant for that sort of thing. We came for a late lunch just because I knew what kind of view we're dealing with. A few drinks after the meal to pass the time up until sunset is fitting for this location. La Sirenetta is definitely not just a tourist trap, it's a Landmark not to be missed here in Coron. We ordered tuna sisig, grilled liempo, and home-made noodles (chicken and seafood). We are not expecting much because Coron is still blooming. Food was served quick. Taste is average. I didn't really like the fact that our food is served cold. Steamed rice and garlic rice are both cold. The liempo is not freshly grilled obviously as it is served warm. Home-made noodles, both chicken and seafood, are stiff. Tuna sisig is too finely chopped that you cannot even distinguish the tuna. If you love tuna as much as I do, you will know how to differentiate fresh from not. Customer service is bad as well. There's seven of us, five of which ordered calamansi juice and mango juice. My mom is craving something colder as we just came down from Mt. Tapyas and she wants to cool off. As a courtesy, we let our server know. (There's no sign that states outside food and beverage is not allowed.) They said it is not permissible and if we do so, there will be an extra charge. The server also mentioned something about them not being liable if we get a tummy ache. I told them that they are not responsible for the me getting a stomach ache from the food they were about to serve, so much more for a beverage from another vendor. This is a dumb argument so I let it go. Besides, I already ordered food so I don't much of a choice but to stay. Lastly, they charge an additional Php 10 if you would like a to-go box. Overall, my family did not have a good experience in this place. I recommend you go to the next door grill, Carl's BBQ where ambience if better. Or ride a trike and eat at Lolo Nonoy's where deep fried danggit is a win!
