The food came out almost immediately (the long silog was the last to come out). The fried chicken (by photo had 4 pieces and fries) was only 3 pieces with fries. Pretty tasty and definitely different from fried chicken back home. The kang kong was really good, especially with extra amounts of garlic. Same with the mushrooms, although I ate around the green chiles since I don't really do spice. I did like the platter of seafood--delicious fish, 2 clams were pretty good with seasoning, 6 shrimp with garlic, and small amount of kang kong with some garlic. Honestly, the platter was more appropriate to feed 2 to even 3 people (if that). The long silog came and was as expected with the rice, egg, 2 links of longganisa and some fresh fruit. The fresh buko was huge with a lot of coconut juice and meat inside. It came with a spoon and straw to sip out juice/scoop out meat. Yes, dishes such as Crispy Pata and Sisig are on the fluffier/ fattier side but that's what makes it GOOD. Beef Kaldereta was saucier than I am accustomed but I engorged myself in its richness. Keep in mind, dishes are 250-350 PHP but are served as family style portions. Service was hit or miss at least when it came to getting the bill, but you really gotta raise your hand and yell at them -- it is the way, the Filipino way! We tried out a bunch of stuff from their menu like Kare kare, Crab, Adobong Pusit, Carbonara etc. My favorite was the Kare Kare the first time I ordered it, they included crushed peanuts in the recipe. The second time I ordered it, it didn't have any peanuts. I guess they have different recipes depending on who's cooking back there. They share a bar with the pool so all their cocktails are made there. I ordered pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris. Just FYI they use real fruit when they make cocktails which isn't a bad thing but if you're used to the way cocktails are made in the U.S. it does taste different and not as sweet. Overall, a pretty good restaurant. Everything we ordered tasted good and service was also nice.
