Staff was excellent but the food was not authentic Thai at all. I really wanted to like this place because the location is great and the ambiance is nice. Bamee was more like bbq pork with extra sauce on spaghetti noodles. It should not even be on the menu if you can't make it with at least the right kind of noodles. The Pad woon sen was edible. Had a nice lunch here. Wife ordered pad see ew with chicken and I ordered pad thai with shrimp, which for a nominal upcharge, came with four large shrimp. Lunch specials also came with a tasty tom yum style cup of soup and a choice of eggroll, tofu, or a potsticker. Everything was delicious. Noodle texture was great in both dishes and the flavor, as well as the presentation, were excellent. Portion size was generous and prices were very reasonable. The service was friendly and attentive. This spot is absolutely amazing. We've already visited four times and I think our first time here was only a month ago! The two employees we've met working in front are SO kind, accommodating, and attentive. The food also comes out spectactularly fast for how high quality it is. I asked to exceed the level 5 spice for a tofu green curry and they were so accommodating, though worried. I'm a glutton for spice and a lot of places in the area I've visited seem to just dump uncooked chili flakes into their hot dishes - the texture's always wrong, and the flavor isn't complete. Manee Thai, however, delivered on such a beautiful curry with depth of flavor and gradually building heat (and it was definitely hotter than the lvl 5 red curry I've had previously). It's what I've been looking for for so long! We brought a couple of friends, and so at the table we also had the glass noodle clay pot, pad ped catfish (which was ordered based on my rave review of it - seriously recommend), and pad kee mao. Everyone was very pleased with their dish! I hate to ramble again, but please visit this spot. I absolutely adore it and it's been generally pretty empty when I've visited. Came here for the first time and I am glad I came. Cute spot and good service and good food. I tried the pad kee maw with fried tofu. Their spice level is pretty spot on, a friend ordered a level 4 and his mouth was burning. I also got a kids fried rice for my daughter and she loved it. I will be coming back more. read more

This was a new place for us and it did not disappoint. I had my usual red curry chicken at a spice level of two. The spice level is probably more like a three, but I did not mind. We carried out and it took about 15 minutes to get home and everything was still hot and tasty. Can't wait to try it again. read more

We first visited Manee Thai's Frisco location more than a year ago for several lunches and dinners and have been hooked ever since. Tina and Jet - right from the beginning - have been welcoming and treat you like Family every time you walk in. The dining space is modern, inviting, and has a vibrant burst of energy. So imagine my excitement when I saw another Location across the highway that had recently opened closer to me. The Colony location of Manee Thai is the old Silver Thai Restaurant. The Food and the Service is outstanding and the Ambiance is delightfully different. It's a different, more traditional vibe. On our most recent visit, Mom ordered the Massaman Curry with Rice and I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai. On our last three visits to The Colony location, we have ordered the Fried Tofu, Vegetable Summer Roll, Panang Curry, Kao Na Ped, Chicken Pad Thai, and Tofu Pad Thai. All excellent and flavorful. Made from scratch utilizing fresh, high-quality ingredients. This is our go-to place for Thai. Non-negotiable. I have even brought my BFF here twice already because she loves the Peanut Sauce here (as do I) and the Chicken Satay. Easily the best Thai Restaurant in DFW. The second location is just as incredible as the first location. I took a friend here during its Grand Opening (unintentionally) and they gave us 10% off our bill. We ordered the Shrimp Eggrolls, Pumpkin Curry, Basil Duck, and Deep Fried Red Snapper. They were all fantastic and spice level was on point. It sounds odd but get the Pumpkin Curry. It's one of my favorite dishes from Manee Thai. Because of them, I've tried Pumpkin Curry elsewhere and they don't compare. The staff is super sweet. The ambiance is nice and relaxing. Came here last night and everything was amazing!! The inside was cute and they had multiple TVs so we could watch the games! Loved that! Our server was super sweet as well! I feel like we ordered a million things and everything was fantastic! If I had to pick a favorite, I would say the beef salad!! The beef was grilled and seasoned to perfection, all of the vegetables were so fresh and crunchy and the dressing was absolutely DIVINE!! My man got the yellow curry and it was one of the best he's ever had!! So good!! Also, don't sleep on their French fries!! I know, French fries at a Thai place, blahblahblah whatever, I was craving them, so I figured why not. They honestly reminded me of shake shack fries!! We didn't know we were entering a new restaurant (not new to the business because learned this was their 2nd location) until we were told as such. We had a great experience because the lady was super sweet. I tried a dish that was new to me, the Red Curry with Pumpkin. It was cold out and I had been looking forward to some sort of curry or soup. I had my eye on the Tom Kha until I saw the pumpkin. The Red Curry with Pumpkin warmed me up just how I had hoped. My husband had the Roasted Duck Curry at a level 4 and it nearly burnt his face off. My level 2 was pretty dang hot for me, too, but I declined her offer to bring me a new bowl. I can usually handle a 2, but not well that day! We were interested in the quail app, but they didn't have it yet, so we tried the Sai Oua. That sausage was so good!! We ended the evening with Roti with ice cream and condensed milk. I had never eaten roti as a dessert, but it was good! The only reason for 4 stars is due to several items on the table being dirty. This place used to be another Thai restaurant. We came for lunch on a Sunday, was pleasantly surprised with the large Thai and Laos menu. Our waiter was great. They were really busy, but food came out fast and the waiter didn't skip a beat. We ordered so much that the owner came out and started talking with our family. She was so sweet, apparently they have another location in Frisco I was unaware of. Literally everything we ordered was really delicious. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about was my entree, the spicy Thai basil with crispy pork. It wasn't spicy enough even ordered Thai hot, but also it had a flavor I wasn't digging. Still edible just not amazing. But between all the appetizers and desserts and drinks that didn't matter. The nam khao was sooo good, and both the mango and sticky rice and the black rice with coconut was delicious. I didn't take all the pictures of our food, but definitely go here if in the area. Stopped on our way home one day as traffic was heavy and we decided to have a leisurely early dinner. We'd never been here so had no idea what to expect, but we love Thai food so we thought we'd give it a try. What a surprise this place was and what a gem for delicious Thai food!! Everything we ordered was excellent. They had just barely opened for dinner when we got there; it was getting busy as we left. The staff was very personable and everyone seemed to pitch in and help as they were quite busy with takeout orders. (Always a good sign) I ordered the Penang curry with just a little bit of heat; it came with a LOT of chicken (heat was perfect and it was delicious!!) and my husband had something similar to yam moon sen (a favorite of his) that our waitress suggested - but he wasn't in the mood for salad and whatever it was called, he loved it. We also ordered their mini eggrolls. Yum! And yes, they are mini - a perfect appetizer. Everything was really good and better than expected. First, the sign out front says and bar, there is no alcohol. Second, I received pork belly that had gone bad. The seasoning was good but as soon as you chewed a couple of times, you could tell it was old pork. My spouse agreed. I sent it back and was told the pork wasn't bad. Wow! We found a gem in the recently opened Manee Thai. We ordered the staples: Pad kee mao, chicken larb, shrimp green curry, crispy pork belly. All dishes were savory and delicious, definitely a cut above most Thai eateries around the Metroplex. Owner Tina was so gracious and welcoming. Went to lunch as a party of 6. What a great place. Had items from the Thai menu, Laos menu and kids menu and everybody loved their food. And service was very friendly. This would been an easy 5 except that our table wasn't served all at once. In fact, it took 4 trips to serve the 6 of us. By the time the final person was served, two were already finished.
