Grilled Octopus
Lordy W.

It felt like price gouging. $10 valet or $5 just to park. Bar was reserved, and service was very slow. Sea bass was bland, octopus wasn't great. Cheesecake was the only standout. 20% tip auto-added. You can get the same dishes--better quality--for less at other restaurants in the area. First and last time. Won't be back.

I frequent Atlanta a lot and always pass by this spot because my friend lives nearby so I decided to stop there after a day of shopping by myself. I decided to sit in the patio area so I could get a hookah. I was pleasantly surprised to find out there was also a dj out there- they were playing some good music and set the vibes! I just got the Sheppard salad, a drink and the hookah. The salad was sooooo good- had great flavor! I sat there for like 2 hours listening to the music, and checking my emails. The waitress was very attentive and didn't mind me sitting there. She kept checking on me and made sure I didn't need anything. At one point the manager came over and offered me an order of their bread as well as a shot! He thanked me for coming in and was very kind! I recommend this spot to grab a quick bite, bring a date or go with a group!

The place was ok. Nothing fancy. There is valet. Not sure about self serve parking. I made a reservation but there was no one there really around the time I went 630ish on a Saturday. The waitress was nice and all but not as attentive as one could be and doesn't give the personality of an individual that's around people. We had to ask for every refill, no napkins, etc. And the personality portion was just blah...take your order...here's your food...being the check. It's not like you went above and beyond but in some establishments that do automatic gratuity, I've seen the lack of. The food was 'meh'. The hummus had somewhat of an aftertaste unless it was the pita. Wasn't a fan. The rice was very bland and the chicken just okay. Tasted more of the char than seasoning or marinade. We both had kabobs and ended up with upset tummy's later when we left. The sodas were flat. We did have a hookah. It was decent. No coals were moved or changed. Don't know if there is a fee here for add to coals. We left shortly after receiving the food bc it was not that enjoyable. Others per reviews have had better times. Not sure if I'd be back. I'm a sticker for service and the only person who was super courteous was the valet guy...and in addition to the food and I wasn't a fan.

First time I came here, the food, the atmosphere and the service was great! We went for a late lunch/early dinner and ended up ordering hookah and stayed until 10 pm LOL. A DJ came and started playing some GREAT music giving all the vibes. Anywho, the food: the FRUIT PLATE always hits so I always recommend that. The LAVRAKI (seabass) was great the first time we ordered it, but when we came back another time and ordered it, it was not good at all. Another item that is a hit or miss is the GRILLED OCTOPUS - sometimes cooked perfectly, sometimes overcooked. The inconsistency knocks off a star. Overall, when the food is good, the food is GREAT, but we enjoy the atmosphere the most. Will return.

Lavraki - huge plate of food!

Had never been before but it had great Yelp reviews. A friend was in town and wanted Mediterranean food. I wouldn't say this is a traditional med/greek menu - in fact only a few dishes that would be on other Mediterranean menus. We got there and it was fairly empty. You are forced to valet and pay $5 for it. It's one reason it wasn't five stars. The other is that they serve Hookah all over the restaurant rather than just in one spot - so if the smells and smoke bother you, I'd avoid this restaurant. The portions are large - so don't over order! The hummus was very tasty. My lavraki dish was missing elevated taste. The asparagus was a bit mushy and the sprouts well cooked on the outside but the inside tough. The service was good which is always important.

Shrimp Casserole

Stopped by here after a movie outing. The person who recommended it said it was a good Turkish spot. Valet is $5 for your car to be parked in a lot behind the building. It's $20 to be parked in the front. On the weekend, after a certain time, it becomes a lounge type place, with security. We were able to be seated immediately. I ordered the watermelon salad, which surprisingly very good. IDK how, but it all works together. It's refreshing. Next, I ordered the shrimp casserole. Very good flavors! Served with rice. This was a hearty dish. However, I was disappointed with the size of the shrimp because the menu said Tiger shrimp. To end it I had the kanfa. omG! This is delicious and a must try! Our waitress was good. I will say another issue I had with them is that hookah can be ordered at any table and I didn't like that. Imagine you're trying to enjoy your meal and the person at the next table is blowing smoke your way. It was good to try and if you're in the area, you might like it.

Located on Roswell road in Sandy spring so it can get a little busy. The restaurant is right on the corner so it easy to get to. They have valet parking which can vary in price. Not too many street parking available so valet would be the best option. As soon as you walk in the bar is only like 2 feet away but the place is actually very spacious. There is a inside part of the restaurant and and outside covered area with TVs and a DJ. The drinks are good but not really strong at all and the food I would have to say is some of the best I've ever had. The hookah was decent but pricey. The bathrooms wait can be a bit long because there is only 2. Overall good vibes if you are in the area. I'll definitely be back.

Bread service

This place was our selected spot for drinks hookah and dinner for a party of four The good - kabab portions are big, citrus mint and blue mist hookah was great, outdoor heated seating The not so good but ok - baba ghanoush, Istanbul rosso cocktail (light on alcohol), felafel The bad - hummus was mediocre at best, bread could be fresher. Music got too loud at one point. The second hookah citrus mint and guava did not taste like the flavors requested The ugly - valet is steep at 20$ for this part of town and they included gratuity at 20% for party of four.

Loved the vibe, calm Tuesday night. Hookah, 3 meals (one being the lamb chops), 4 cocktails and the total wasn't bad at all. There was a dj I believe or maybe not, but the music was jumping. I think there's a DJ other times. I really enjoyed my lamb chops omg and that rice was soooo good whew. They give you ALOT of food too. (Idk I didn't get a chance to do my food photography so the pics may not look like it but just trust me). My friends really enjoyed their food as well and they ALWAYS eat all of their food, they had to take the rest home, that's how much they give you! Their service was good as well, I have nothing to complain about. Valet in the actual lot $20, valet to the back $5

Don't leave Atlanta without trying this place. Overall - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Adana Kebab - 5/5 - this was the first time I had something like this. It was honestly delicious and really stood out. Sooo good, juicy, and flavourful. Labneh - 4.2/5 - Really liked this: it's like a whipped yogurt. The dill one was nice too and probably ordered that one a bit. Bandia Olivieh - 4/5 - this is another type of dip ish dish... really good but I liked the labneh more I'd say. Chicken Kofta - 4.2/5 - so flavourful and tasty. As a chicken lover, this was my next favourite after the Adana. So good. Service - 5/5 - We came here back in July (catching up on reviews). Our server, Max, was so great. Very positive, happy, and just an awesome server overall. Truly one of the best service I've ever had. Ambiance - 5/5 - Very busy, but a beautiful ambiance. Dim lighting with a cultural middle eastern feel. Honestly was so great and we're to the stellar dining experience.

Let me just tell you, that this recommendation did NOT disappoint. The moment I dipped my pita into the lamb hummus I already knew this was about to be one of my favorite meals and boy was I correct. From the lamb hummus, to the grilled veggies, the chicken kebob to the rack of lambs- everything was truly delectable!!!! Ofc we couldn't skip on dessert. We got the burnt honey pistachio cake that was both of our favs and the mahlab s'mores sundae that was also incredibly good. Our service was really great w/ our server giving us incredible recommendations. And the ambiance was so chic. The bar was truly stunninggggg!!! If you're in the Atlanta area and have a chance to check this place out, absolutely do not sleep on it!!!

Our salad, vegetables, herbs, and wine were five stars, but the meats were all cold. We had to send all meats back three times. This is unacceptable in any restaurant. The manager did not apologize or even try to do anything. She failed. Our server/Asser was/is five stars. Great service, courtesy, and very professional. The review deserves to be one star, but due to the facility, server, and food is five stars, we had to rate it higher. The cooking team and manager failed miserably. So overall it's three stars max, until they can get their act together. Hoping to see improvement as we really like this restaurant and food... Sincerely

We ordered musakhan rolls, which were warm at best and really heavy on the cinnamon and or all spice. The lamb was overcooked and look like someone had eaten part of it before it made it to the table. We've been to several mediterranean restaurants but won't come back to this one. What really made the experience exceptional, though, was our server, Camila. She wasn't just 5 stars--she was 10 stars. You know where this is so you know that you're gonna have to worry about paying for parking because look at the area that you're in. Just keep that in mind but there are plenty of parking structures around . The service was great. The two women that were working the front were excellent and they helped me along trying to make my decision. They were super nice and friendly and definitely worth speaking to because of their friendly demeanor . Everything I've had here has been great, absolutely amazing. I'm really hard on Mediterranean food only because where I grew up it was easy to find Mediterranean food because so many people from that side of the world put roots there. Finding some good chicken shawarma was easy. I haven't actually found a lot of that around the Atlanta area but there are a few good ones. This one is solid and did not miss. I loved it and I would definitely go back. Chicken shawarma (platter) - so the platter comes with two sides and an entrée. Everything was good. The chicken shawarma was very good and flavorful and it was super tender and I love that because it wasn't like it was sitting there all day. It was something I would definitely go back for. I may even get a wrap next time but the actual platter served me really well and it was great. roasted potatoes - my first side was potatoes and it's hard to mess up roasted potatoes. You just season it and stick it in the oven I guess but either way they were very moist and you got plenty of them. They were seasoned very well Grilled veggies - the grilled veggies were pretty good. I mean I have nothing to complain about. They were vegetables and they were seasoned as well so nothing wrong with that but they were just vegetables. It's not like it was a main course kind of situation but for a side they were a really good side choice . Creamy chicken soup - now let me get to the star of the show. This soup is amazing to me. I don't know what it is about it. Maybe it has something in it but it is amazing. I could actually get a big bowl of it and call it a day. The soup is creamy and savory and has bits of the chicken in there so it's also seasoned very well. I don't know what it is about this soup but this soup is gold to me. In any event yes I liked everything I got, yes I would go back, yes the soup is amazing, all the things LOL. They have a rosemary chicken that is supposed to be the best seller but I didn't come for that. I would definitely try that next time. I was very satisfied with what I got!
