    Grilled Chicken Alfredo

Mandola's is located right next to an apartment complex and Ranch at Brushy Creek community. Its quite popular for the neighborhood folks. This was our first time on a Saturday and the place was busy. They dont let you order till they have given you a table on a sticky. Which is quite different and honestly our first time doing so. The food was quite good. The Calamari was out quickly however the entrees took a while. We were on a clock so felt it took 20 minutes to get the food on table. No one comes to check on you the entire time you are there. Water, silverware and even to go boxes are for you to grab and fill. Its a very huge space with a play area for kids. Its popular for that reason too. The patio with the playarea is quite popular with families with young kids. Dog friendly too. Their ice creams and cheesecake are on point. Will visit again.

This is our first time at this location but our second time eating at Mandola's. This location was a little confusing because it said order here before seating. We stood at the counter and watched several staff walk by us until someone finally approached us and showed us where to order. We were at the take out counter. Hubby got the Saturday special, braised rib and mashed potatoes, and I got Alfredo with grilled chicken. We had to ask for bread, but that was fine because it is so good! Hubby said his rib was ok, not the best but edible. My Alfredo was cold but edible. I brought most of it home to warm up. Overall it was not horrible for the price, but we are still looking for a great Italian restaurant in the area.

I am a huge fan of the Triangle location for no frills, simple Italian food, but the parking situation there is not ideal especially on weekends. I decided to give the Cedar Park location a try and now they have a customer for life. Everyone is so nice! The food was solid, the playground was a nice surprise for us and yay for unlimited parking.

I had a solid dining experience when I dropped by one night for dinner. They have a massive dining area that also includes outside tables. It seemed very family friendly with the laid-back atmosphere. They also have several large tables for bigger parties. I had spaghetti and meatballs and the other person in my group had cheese ravioli along with a caesar salad. The portions were reasonable, and the flavor definitely there. We also had a couple slices of the chocolate fudge cake, which was insanely delicious.

Our dining experience here was pleasant. This is a good middle-of-the-road Italian fare restaurant. The focaccia bread and oil were a nice change from other restaurants. The spaghetti marinara was cooked well and had a good flavor. It was also a healthy serving size. That said, the grilled chicken was seasoned inconsistently; one of us had bland chicken, the other had well-seasoned chicken. All this said, we weren't blown away. Nothing truly stood out other than the bread, and that's not enough to pull us back to the restaurant.

Mandolas never disappoints! I have tried the pizza, ice cream, lasagna, alfredo and their caprese salad. The caprese salad is always a good refreshing meal. The cheese and tomato taste very fresh. Pizza was 10/10 and so was the pasta and lasagne. I wasn't too big on the Alfredo only because the chicken was a little dry and the pasta was a tad bit undercooked but the sauce was delicious! Tiramisu here is also great. Last but not least their fococcia bread is so soft and fluffy. It always tastes very fresh and is usually the main reason I got back. I've also tried the garlic fries, pretty nice and the sauce that comes with them is good as well. Service is always super fast! And even when it's packed we can get in and out pretty quickly. The whole place is very clean and I love the decorations they have up. Overall great restaurant that I would recommend and visit over and over again!

Great casual Italian dining as always. We can never go wrong here thanks to delicious food, bustling atmosphere, and attentive service. The restrooms were relatively decent and the staff at the counter were knowledgeable and courteous. And of course, the kids always love the playground and artificial turf play area.

Came here to celebrate a birthday in a Friday night . We had never been here before, it had good reviews and we were eager to try it out. Although the restaurant was busy, it is very spacious and there were plenty of tables to sit at inside and out . The noise level was high as there were numerous children running around. The ordering system is very quick, walk up to the counter, tell the cashier , who doesn't know a thing about the menu, what you want, get your drinks and order number and have a seat. We ordered two appetizers, the fried calamari/zucchini, and the bruschetta. Our entree's were the lasagna with sausage, pasta Alfredo with shrimp, and the Carnivore pizza. One of the numerous servers brought us some very good focaccia bread to our table. So we assumed that we would be brought out the appetizers before our entrees which happens at every restaurant we've been too. Nope, it was all brought out together. Actually our entrees arrived at our table a few minutes before the appetizers. Talk about a crowded table.. So we started in on our appetizers so our entrees could get cold... the calamari/zucchini were just ok, the marinara sauce on the side was excellent. The bruschetta was very tasty. My pizza was a thin crust pie which I usually enjoy. But the crust was a bit soggy, maybe from the time waited to eat it or that it had meat on it which has a lot of moisture. The pizza was enjoyable, especially the sliced meatballs on top which were outstanding! The Alfredo was ok, with about 5 prawns on top. The lasagna was enjoyed. All in all, it was decent food. The ordering system is great as is the speed in getting your food. It is a very family friendly place . This is not a restaurant that I would make plans on going to unless I lived in the immediate area, which I don't.

Misto salad and spaghetti (thin) and meatballs in bolognese SO GOOD!! Bread with oil was also fantastic

Aric kept checking on us to make sure we were okay and was quite accomodating and didn't mind us ladies being moved into an inside table. Plus, I didn't want to deal with the typical muggy weather anymore. I ordered a frozen Benny Bellini - Peach Bellini to help support a worker who has cancer. The food was surprisingly served fast despite the restaurant focusing mainly on their wedding party guests from their patio. For dinner, I shared bruschetta. Ordered bruschetta for my dinner. Italian Sausage, Roasted Red Pepper, and Goat Cheese Bruschetta; For my 2nd bruschetta: Apple, Fig, Chutney & Brie Bruschetta. My third Bruschetta was House Smoked Salmon and Herbed Cream Cheese Bruschetta. Thankfully, they DON'T skimp out on their ingredients on top of their bruschetta!! Besides the bruschetta, my friend Tina offered me a slice of her Mediterranean Pizza. Thanks so much for the top notch quality food and service!!! My friends had glasses of white wine and I tried their holiday gin cocktail which was perfect for me as it was not too sweet. The server helped guide me to that drink choice. My friends had bruschetta, tuna salad, and grilled cheese with soup. We were able to walk in and easily get a table for 4 as it wasn't too busy. However, it started to fill up and it seemed like our server had many other tables because we wouldn't see her for a while and had to wait a bit for some follow up items. Overall a consistent, good time, and they can do separate checks which is great for a party of friends ordering different things!

It's not ideal if you want to be close to a more metropolitan, walkable area, and being right on the creek means there can be quite a few bugs, especially in the evening. This charming, quaint boutique hotel is located in a residential neighborhood in Round Rock, TX. The Ruby Hotel & Bar is situated along Brushy Creek in historic downtown Round Rock. The hotel has 39 uniquely designed rooms and suites, in the suburbs of Austin, TX. The hotel blends mid-century modern design with natural surroundings, creating a chic vibe. The property is distinctly divided into to major buildings...the hotel and the bar. There is a random small building up front also...not sure what that buildings for. There is also outdoor seating, which would be pleasant in the summer. Last night we had freezing temperatures, so sub-optimal for seating outside. When we entered the bar, we felt transported to another place in time. Retro looking furniture at the entry with finger dialed phones...my nieces and nephews would likely not have any idea what these little machines called telephones were. The bar was a mix of old - building built in the 1960s....new - modern mirrors and bar. There was signage at the front of the bar that stated to seat yourself and place your order from the bar (different set up...for sure). We ordered the hummus plate minus pita bread plus more cucumbers. Alan, our server was very accommodating to make that switch. We had herbal hot tea (chamomile and pomegranate berry). We listened to the 3 person band, who sang music from Johnny Cash to Bob Marley and so many different genres in between. What a lovely evening...date night score!

My husband enjoyed the chicken and waffles and isn't a big eater but it just wasn't a lot of food. It was literally ONE chicken tender divided between ONE waffle. Please see the pic. He said they were heavy on the honey butter and light on the chicken and waffles. This dish didn't come with any sides or other food. 2. Both kids (despite my advice) ordered breakfast. The eggs were ordered over easy and unfortunately they came broken and already runny (pic). The bacon on one was so very very crisp and on the other it was floppy. The hash browns were cooked in so much oil that it felt like you were eating oil - not potatoes. The biscuits were dry. The jalapeño gravy was tasty but we needed a lot more of it to make up for the dry biscuit. 3. Finally, I disliked my food last time which is why we hadn't been back for 4 years but everyone deserves another chanc. Today I ordered off their "specials" menu and got redfish. Redfish is one of my favorite fish so I was excited to try it. When it came I was happy because it was a nice sized portion (see pic). Then I tasted it. It was so fishy and as I picked it apart,I could see it was the blood vein piece. I could not eat it. My teenager is a vacuum and ate it. I then finished our 10 year olds left over eggs breakfast. The green beans under the fish were cooked well. I thought at least I can eat the green beans. Then I took another bite and noticed the SALT. I love my salt. I'm known to salt everything but these were just so so salty I couldn't enjoy them. I did eat them because I was hungry (and later my son's leftover egg dish). The other patios all had a wait. The server was sweet and the food came out fast.

She absolutely loved the daiquiri, side note- she's with me so standards aren't super high. Bar staff were super helpful and attentive, patio was very chill and secluded from the other spots surrounding it. The bathroom was clean and didn't smell like vomit. Negatives: My fish and chips were below expectations. Their grease was entirely too hot and it was flash fried causing the batter to be too crispy and the fish was piping hot. The selection of cod was not good either most of the pieces were blackened meat and the chips were crinkle cut fries, a letdown. I wasn't expecting a London level plate but it was a very sad and lonely one. Her burger was loaded with BBQ sauce and her mac-n-cheese balls were fried similarly causing the same burnt batter. It wasn't the worst meal I've had at a chain beer joint, looking at you Fox and Hound, but it wasn't close to the best. The Flying Saucer has a very good bar style fish and chips plate that costs about the same but they pay attention to the details that make it better.
