I like this place a lot. Back in time going to a small business that half the town is hanging out in. Every time I go there a lot of people Meandering around inside and there's always employees talking them up and it just feels nice to patronize this place. And every employee I have ever encountered seems so helpful and out of their way nice. I go there a lot for keys to be made as I need them often and their prices are right in line with Home Depot. read more

What's not to love about this place? There's always someone there to assist and find the product that you may be looking for. Prices are always on point. Convenience is a plus. The staff are always friendly and the ladies at the check out counter are a hoot! This is an "institution" in Mandeville and glad we have them here! read more

Always liked the convenience of this store and I used to know most of the employees before ownership change. The 2-star review is due to my experience on recent Saturday trying to buy an EGO string trimmer that was advertised on the website at $199. This was a kit with battery and charger. Lowes had the same kit at the same price. The website said my store had 3 in stock so I ran over to get one. My shock when the clerk rang it up at $479!!. When I asked what's up she said they don't really go by the price on the website.??? She apologized and said she could leave a note on the owners' desk. I asked why even call yourselves Ace if the website price doesn't apply. So, I should have purchased it online, then called for the rest of the day asking when my purchase was ready for pickup??. It would have been Monday before I heard back. Weak link in the sales chain. So, I drove to Lowes. Incidentally, she told me they had been selling these all weekend. Yeah, suckers, you paid $279 too much!! read more

Crap service by the owner him self Zach Zillner he will treat you like a homeless person. No acknowledgment for why you're there. Even when your holding a 200$ 2day old tool that doesn't work properly read more

Excellent selection and friendly helpful service to find what you need. That's what you want and what you're going to get. Maybe not everything the big box stores carry, but more depth in what they do have. read more

Quatroy's Ace Hardware is one of the few small Hardware stores left on the Northshore. They have a fairly good selection of tools and building supplies. They also fill propane tanks which is great, considering most place just do tank exchange. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They sell the Mandeville by the lake license plates that you see on cars over here. Since it is a small store, they don't stock everything a Lowes or Home Depot may have, but this is a locally owned business. I we want to keep our local businesses we must support them. read more

I recently was shopping for a Kamado Grill and found out that Kamado Joe was sold by Mandeville Ace Hardware. I first researched the item online then called to ask a few simple questions including availability of the KJ grill. They answered promptly and were knowledgeable about the item, the price, and that it was in stock. With that said I visited the store where I was greeted promptly, friendly, and additional questions were answered and a smaller like model was shown to me by Scotty. When I decided to make the purchase they then took my information so they could do a local delivery the next afternoon. The next day they called to make sure it was conveyor them to stop by and sent a 2 man crew to my house to complete the delivery and assembly. They were courteous and careful delivering the expensive purchase, and assembled it as well. I will definitely be shopping there again due to the awesome purchase experience from start to finish. read more

Great customer service! Thank you Ben and Ellis for all your help! We came in at closing and they were happy to help.

Really not very friendly here unless they recognize you as a regular customer. Kind of a "members only" feel when you walk in the door anonymously SMH Needless to say I no longer grace the place b/c of the "members only" customer service mentality that they exude here sadly.... read more

I love to look around the store at interesting outdoor planters and decorations. I am now a member of the Flag Club. After I buy so many, I get one free and they have the best selection in Mandeville. Don't forget to pet the cat who is usually on the counter when you check out. The store has a nice nostalgic feel but all the modern necessities one might need for home repair and maintenance. read more

I always come here with all my power equipment to get the yearly maintenance done & they always take care of me & call me when it's ready ! They automatically recognize you when you walk through the door ! read more

Always helpful staff with a good inventory which saves trips to the big box stores. I always check Ace first.

Super helpful and friendly. Customer service at its best. It seems small but it is packed with good stuff at great prices. They even cut a cut and programmed it to my car at no extra charge. Honda wanted $250 for one hey. read more

Outstanding customer service, sometimes the prices might be little bit higher but the customer service and the convenience far outweigh the marginal price difference. read more

Been in this store twice and neither time was my presence acknowledged much less was help offered. I'll just drive the extra two miles to a lowes where at least the employees offer to help. read more

The fact that there is a no borrow policy is absolutely ridiculous. Im in a pinch and run over to the store for a meter key (I essentially have a geiser in my front yard) and im told that once an item is used it can no longer be put back on the shelf for resale. A year previous the same situation arose and the employees there at that time were fully understanding and allowed the use of the tool. Have you ever noticed a difference in the integrity of a wrench or hammer after one use? No because when used properly tools are meant to last for more than a single job. (even though thats all i needed it for) Autozone and other hardware stores allow for borrowing and because this one does not it will suffer. I highly recommend adopting the borrow policy (i even offered up my name and credit card) and instructing employees it is ok to help someone in frantic need. read more
