The online ordering process was fairly straightforward- the site is used by other restaurants in our area so I had to double-check it was the right one! I pretty much always order the same vegetarian rolls - some may say boring, I say easy to please. This night, I ordered a sweet potato tempura roll, a peanut avocado roll, and an AAC with mango roll. I waited a few moments for the food once I arrived. The restaurant is open and bright- there are many succulents and plants near the entrance. There is a weird plastic screen mounted from the ceiling by the door- sort of a makeshift vestibule. I imagine during cold months, it helps regulate the temperature inside. I really only noticed it because I was standing there, staring at it while I waited for my order. It was a pretty clever contraption. The food was ready just a few moments after I arrived at the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and courteous- asked if I wanted chopsticks or soy sauce and happily accommodated my request for low sodium soy sauce. Took the rolls home and enjoyed them in pjs while a thunderstorm rolled through. I'd say the food was fine. There was no eel sauce on my rolls- which I wasn't sure if it's because I ordered all vegetarian. But, they needed something for flavor. I opted for hoisin sauce we had in our fridge. The sweet potato roll felt a bit like soggy tempura had been used- hence, needing a sauce. The peanut avocado tasted a lot like each of those ingredients and was very basic feeling without any added flavor. The AAC with mango roll was very tasty. Given the generic ordering I do for sushi rolls, I may likely opt for a different place next time but won't rule Sake Hana out forever.

I ordered sushi via DoorDash to my work for me and my daughters who were hanging out with me for the day. I ordered one of my daughters her favorite: a shrimp tempura roll. I ordered for myself the hulk roll. My other daughter only eats California rolls and that preference saved her today. When the food was delivered, I had only a couple minutes to set my girls up before I had a meeting. I gave them their food then quickly tried a piece of mine. Mine looked like it was sprayed with a hose first, like the shrimp tails were soggy and droopy and not appetizing but I tried it anyway. I didn't love the smell as it got closer to my mouth and then once it was in my mouth it tasted like very potent fish so I spat it out and didn't eat any of the order. I had to then jump into my meeting. After my meeting I checked in with my girls who, the one with the shrimp tempura roll, said it smelled bad and tasted bad but she ate 80% of it (she's 8 and so not a picky eater). I blame myself for not just taking it away from her once I tried mine but I didn't put it together we both had shrimp plus my meeting started. So sure enough, 4 hours later she runs to the bathroom, keeled over in pain and it all came out (of both ends). My issue with this restaurant is their quality control, even if every other day they are satisfactory, something was really wrong with their product today but yet they carried on. There's no way they didn't notice visually something was wrong or couldn't smell it themselves.

If you're ordering from the regular menu, I honestly have no complaints. The only reason I can't give five stars is the sushi. I've tried ordering it three different times on different days and at different times because I wanted to make sure it wasn't just a one-off experience. Unfortunately, every time the fish has smelled and tasted off to me, and I haven't been able to finish it. I even switched to cooked rolls like shrimp tempura, hoping that would solve the issue, but something still just seemed off. It could just be my personal preference because I know people who enjoy their sushi, but I don't seem to have this issue at other sushi restaurants. I'd absolutely keep coming back for everything else on the menu, just probably not the sushi.

The fresh rolls were awesome. Very crisp, refreshing, and you could taste the Thai basil which is always nice. The sauce they were served with was very flavorful. The drunken noodles left a little to be desired. They were listed as spicy, and I probably could have asked for more spice, but I found it underwhelming. It had sort of a flat flavor and was something I would have expected at a more Americanized Thai restaurant. After seeing some reviews saying it was a on-brand experience, I didn't find this dish to blow me away. The yummy noodles were a different story. I found the flavor pallette to be deep and robust. I found myself trying to sneak food away off my wife's plate instead of eating my drunken noodles. That would be a dish I would order for myself. Great sauce, well prepared meat, awesome texture. Not a bad place to eat, and 2/3 dishes were a good hit. I'd argue you could probably get the same experience somewhere else for less money, but still not a bad place to have dinner.

I've been ordering Chinese food for probably 20 years, and I honestly can't remember the last time…read moreI was this impressed--not only by the food, but by the entire experience from the moment I placed the order. The woman who took my order was incredibly attentive. She asked all the right questions, made sure I was ordering from the correct Chengdu location, asked how many plates and forks I needed, and made the whole pickup process incredibly easy. She even called me back to make sure I was waiting in the right place, and then brought the food directly to the window of my car. That level of attention to detail is rare these days. Then I opened the bag--and WOW. The smell alone was probably the best aroma I've experienced opening a Chinese takeout order in a very long time. And thankfully, the taste absolutely lived up to it. Even the presentation impressed me. Everything came in a nice reusable Chengdu bag, the containers were properly sealed, nothing leaked or dripped, and the food looked as good as it smelled. You could tell there was thought and care put into the entire order, not just the cooking. I had seen the roughly 3-star Yelp rating before ordering, so I really wasn't expecting this. Based on my experience tonight, I genuinely don't understand the low rating. Of course, I'll have to come back and try more of the menu before I can speak to everything, but IF the woman who helped me tonight is representative of how this restaurant is being run, they deserve some recognition!! Amazing service, amazing aroma, amazing food, and one of the smoothest takeout experiences I've had. I will absolutely be back!

However, last weekend we decided to give it a try because some times we need to give the benefit of the doubt to some places and judge them by ourselves. Well, to our surprise we had a very pleasant first experience at this place. Starting with the ambience, the restaurant has a nice sophisticated and inviting atmosphere. Everything was very clean and organized in an elegant way, which caused a very good first impression. Continuing with the food, there is a variety of options in the menu, mainly Chinese (of course) but also a Japanese section (sushi and other items). We ordered from the Chinese options...For appetizers we ordered the Thai Spring Rolls, the Scallion Pancakes, and the Boneless Ribs, all of them very delicious. The Scallion Pancakes have been the best in terms of texture that we have tried in the area. Our only recommendation would be to add more scallions to the dough so they can taste more to scallion. The flavor of the Boneless Ribs was very tasty and their texture was tender, not chewy as we have tried in other places. The Thai Spring Rolls were interesting, flavor was good as well as the texture. As main entree, we ordered the Orange Crispy Beef and the Sesame Chichen and found both very delicious. The crispy beef was the first time we tried something like that in the area. The amount of sauce that they used in both dishes was not too excessive and the tenderness of both the beef and the chicken was very good. Regarding drinks, we ordered a Piña Colada and a Polynesian cocktail, both with very balanced flavors. The only recommendation for the Piña Colada is to try making it more frozen and not with too many ice cubes. The flavor was pretty similar to an authentic Piña Colada (we are from Puerto Rico, the place where this drink was born and have to admit that the flavor was good); making it more frozen would give the final touch to make it more authentic, in our opinion. The desserts menu was not extensive at all, only one option available which was the fried ice cream. We decided to try it anyway and found it very good. In terms of the service, it was acceptable. Our server did a great job taking the order and not missing any item as well as serving our table on time and accurate. He wasn't smiling all the time, but he was respectful and polite, enough for us. I would say that if you are in the area, you can give it a try. For 5 years we avoided this place, and unless they changed something recently I have to say that we like the experience and are planning to go back. We don't do late dinner regularly, so we went there around 5:30 pm, which we don't know if that could have made any difference in everything.
