I was pleasantly surprised by this buffet. They have a variety of dishes that is not typical for these types of buffets. There's a carving station, sushi, a variety of soups, salad bar, desserts, and your more traditional Chinese food. The hot towel they give you when you sit down is so nice! Staff is friendly and kept plates cleared from our table as we finished eating. We definitely enjoyed our meal.

Mandarin is a popular buffet choice with our friends especially during special occasions. We were here to celebrate a birthday, but they didn't have enough seating to accommodate our group; management was quick to fix the problem. I was very impressed on how the staff handled our large group. We were warmly greeted by the wait staff and there was always someone available to attend to our needs. Water was frequently topped off and dirty dishes promptly removed. On the way out, we were all thanked and given a complimentary pink mint from a pretty glass bowl. Food was ok, typical of an ayce Chinese buffet; however, their baked salmon with teriyaki sauce was a standout. My only complaint? Their gaudy, over-the-top decor.

My friends love this clean location and have been coming here for over now 10 years. I've joined them on a few occasions for the AYCE venue like tonight. The food is great, the service staff is excellent and there is something at the buffet to satisfy everyone; vegetarians, meat lovers, Sushi lovers, seafood regulars, etc. Desserts are also plentiful to fulfill that urge! Parking is free and reservations are recommended. Meal prices vary depending when you want to dine! Discount available for Seniors 65+ years of age.

Nothing has changed but!!!! But!!!!! You can now get a free meal on your birthday! You have to sign up at least a day before. I just thought someone would like that info because I wish I would have had it before I went.

While in the area we decided to stop by with family to see how it now stands up to 100s new Hakka restaurants. The owners have changed for sure since then. The inside is still the same as I remember with new table and chairs. Still clean and tidy. The service is still good. The owner/manager gives to personal service and answered all of our ingredient questions. Our taste buds have evolved and the competitors are feeding us dishes that are more amplified than the ones we got here. Our favourite Manchurian Pakorra in gravy was OK. Not bad, but the pakoras were to big and just doughy. The gravy again OK. The Tofu Chilli not hugely spicy and felt under seasoned to us. The Fried Rice was again very plain. Noodles were OK and the same goes for Szechuan Mixed Veggies. Felt as if we are eating at a traditional Chinese restaurant rather than Indian style Hakka restaurant.

The vinegar & chilli was used on day 3 and I wish I wasn't so terrified of it on da 1 because man, did it amp it up! I also had a veggie spring roll which was good, but nothing to write here about. Ma went back 2 more times after our visit and thoroughly enjoyed her dishes. Will I be back? When I am back in town and so long as they're open and around, absolutely I will be back. Each bite basically melts in your mouth, which made it really enjoyable even without any sauce. The restaurant itself is quite large with plenty of seating for dine-in. There's parking available outside, which is convenient, although there are a few stairs at the entrance to keep in mind. It was also pretty busy even on a weekday, so it seems like a popular spot. Noodles were too sticky and the dipping sauce was just plain soy sauce and not the normal sugary soy one. Have had the BBQ pork and Lo Mein before and they are not bad choices. Service (3.5/5) - this one gets busy and waits are not uncommon. I've always found the servers here fine but somewhat businesslike. Orders come out fairly promptly. Atmosphere (3.5/5) - similar to other locations however this one is starting to show some wear overall. Overall (3.5/5) - it's a decent option for a group of 3-4 or more. I wanted to try Peking Duck and got clued into J&Y as one of the best options to try which did not disappoint. The Peking Duck was so tender, so flavorful and so wonderfully succulent. It was perfectly prepared and sliced with the fat rendered and thinly sliced. The wraps were not the monstrous steamed buns but traditional translucent wraps which are super thin, soft and pliable. Scallions, cucumber, hoisin sauce completed each wrap which highlighted the duck. Definitely the best traditional Peking Duck preparation I've had in a very very long time. The remains of the duck were used for make a duck fried rice and duck soup, again both were amazing. It takes a certain skill to make fried rice cleanly without an excessive oily coating on each grain of rice. This was one of the best fried rices I've ever had! No gratuitous mushy frozen peas needlessly added either. Well seasoned fried pork ribs and veggies completed the courses I had, everything was truly wonderful and I hope to revisit again.

I was hoping to find something special on the menu. The Peking duck caught my eye at around $70, but then I discovered that almost everything else was extra--lettuce wraps, stir-fried duck meat, fried rice, and soup. By the time you add the extras, the bill is easily another $50 or more, bringing the total to well over $120. We decided to pass, and judging from the dishes we did order, that was probably the right decision. The hot and sour soup had plenty of heat and tang but lacked depth of flavor and was under-seasoned for my taste. Fortunately, we only ordered a small bowl. The deep-fried tofu was bland and forgettable. The stir-fried shrimp was acceptable but nothing special. The biggest disappointment was the sweet and sour pork. I specifically asked the server to make sure the pork was crispy, but it arrived soft and lumpy rather than light and crunchy. Even the complimentary red bean dessert soup was watery and lacked flavor. Our bill came to about $104 for two people. For the quality of the food, I didn't feel it offered good value. Sadly, after several disappointing visits, I don't think we'll be returning.
