He fixed our vacuum and gave an honest appraisal of whether we should buy another or not. Worth every penny! Honest business!

We've been taking our vacuums here for more than nine years. Always helpful and fix vacuums well the first time.

My dishwasher was only about 9 days old (purchased late Febrruary) when one of the springs on the door broke and the door no longer sealed which resulted in the dishwasher leaking. The Top Notch team came out on March 18th to assess the issue and determine the root cause which they said was the broken spring/door hinge. This was replaced under standard warranty and the technician left but told me if it was still leaking that they would need to look at the door. I ran a full cycle that evening and it leaked again so I called their number back and left a voicemail. A week went by and I had no follow up regarding someone coming back so I called again. I was told they "missed" the voicemail but would get right back to me. Another 2 weeks passed and they had someone come out to replace the whole front door panel. During that replacement, the technician damaged the brand new door and left dents in it. He told me that if the issue did not get resolved that I needed to let them know and they would put in for a new dishwasher replacement with the manufacturer, but if the issue was resolved that they would still need to replace the door as they left me with a dented door panel. While the major leak was resolved, it was still not sealing correctly on one side of the dishwasher as I was still getting water pooling at the top and dripping out on my dishwasher and the seal on the side was letting all sorts of particles surround the side whereas the other side of the dishwasher was spotless. I contacted their team back and received a voicemail again so I left a voicemail letting them know the status and requesting the replacement. I then called weekly for the next 6 weeks trying to get an update, leaving voicemails each time as no live human ever picked up. I started getting suspicious so I called them from a different phone number and a live person answered which proved my suspicion that they were just ignoring me. During that phone call they told me they had passed everything to the manufacturer and sent the manufacturer an email, so I requested they forward the email to me and provide me with the case number for the manufacturer. I never received the email they told me they would send and when I called the manufacturer with the case number they told me that they never received a replacement device request and the ticket was closed. I had to open a brand new ticket with the manufacturer and they had to send a different technician out to both look at the door with Top Notch Appliance left damaged as well as assess what the issue was with the dishwasher as they are unable to re-open old tickets. The manufacturer scheduled a different company to come take a look which happened today (July 7th) and they informed me that cosmetic issues such as the door are not covered by the manufacturer and that it needed to be handled with Top Notch - but they would work on the other issue. The overall communication from this company was terrible. They ghosted and ignored my voicemails, then lied to me on the phone. They never finished the service that they were contracted to do, and left me with a dishwasher that was still not working correctly, and had damage that they themselves caused. They did not even report all of their work back to the manufacturer. Their overall sheer incompetence has left me without a correctly functioning dishwasher and a damaged one for months. I would not recommend anyone do business with this company.

I gave the model number and mentioned that I also wanted the gasket replaced. Four days later the technician shows up and asks me what's wrong. I explained the same thing all over again, and he tells me that he needs to get the parts before he can even test the machine and that parts alone will cost $400+. The technician recommended buying a new machine instead. The technician was in my house for 3 minutes, and he never even took his tools out. Somehow I still got charged for the visit. The technician was nice and upfront, but this entire issue could've been resolved the same way with the initial phone call. Not sure why I got charged $60 for information that could've been given over the phone. I wouldn't use them again.

The technician came on July 27, broke two screws on the burner with the faulty igniter, disassembled the other burners, and left the entire stove unusable. He said parts had to be ordered and required a 50% deposit of $296.81. I clearly explained that the house was rented and the stove had to be operational by August 10. I was assured it would be. Only after paying did I discover that the technician was actually from a subcontractor, Hi-Tech Appliance. Six days later, on August 3, the technician texted asking me to send a photo of the stove serial number because the photo he had taken during the service visit was blurry. In other words, six days had already been lost because they had not properly recorded the information needed to order the part. I was traveling and could not get to the house until August 7. That day, I spoke with management and again asked whether the stove would be repaired by August 10. I was assured that it would. I also asked them to at least reassemble the four burners that did not need repair so my tenants could use the stove. I was told they would do that as well. Neither happened. No one came on August 10 or August 11. The FedEx tracking later showed that the part was not even shipped until August 10 and arrived August 12. My tenants were left without a working stove for three days. The repair was finally completed on August 13. On August 14, I refused to immediately pay the remaining 50% and asked to speak with a manager from The Appliance Repair Men, the company I originally hired and that sent this subcontractor. I was connected with manager Louis. He repeatedly interrupted me, became belligerent, and eventually started yelling when I explained that, after such negligent and misleading service, I did not believe I should be charged the full amount. Instead of apologizing or trying to find a reasonable solution, Louis accused me of "extorting" the company because I said I would leave negative reviews about my experience. The total charges for this repair were approximately $677.60. Had they simply been honest that they could not complete the repair by August 10, I would have hired another company. Instead, they repeatedly assured me it would be completed on time while delays caused by their own mistakes continued. I originally chose The Appliance Repair Men after trusting the Google AI summary showing it as highly rated. Based on my experience, I would give them ZERO stars. Stay away from both The Appliance Repair Men and Hi-Tech Appliance.
