This was the 1st Filipino restaurant I stated when I went back to the Philippines. 8 years ago this was not there. I actually went to 2 locations, 1st was at the Uptown Mall and the 2nd was at Gateway Mall. At Uptown Mall, it was busy and full. Went there with a group of 4 and I was really wanting to eat some comfort Filipino food. Food ordered were kare-kare (ox tail stew), house crispy sisig (pork jowl and cheek chopped seasoned well and served in a sizzling plate, tapsilog, pinakbet (vegetables cooked with shrimp paste), and daing na bangus (fried milk fish). Of course rice is life so there was rice. I did order sinigang na baboy (pork cooked in sour tamarind broth), however, was not served. For the 1st try at Manam, I'll give it a 4 stars. Food ordered were flavorful although portions are good for 2 persons only in my opinion...well we were hungry. Price was around $3k++ for 4 people...when you convert peso to dollar, it seems cheap. At the Gateway Mall, ordered were Beef Short Rib Sinigang with Watermelon, Gising-gising (vegetables cooked in coconut cream), crispy pata with garlic bits, and ube & sago. Now this pushed the stars to 5. That Ube and sago is really delicious...sinigang with watermelon is new to the palate and promising for me and gising-gising was tasty. This place is a good choice for those who would like comfort food and food with twist!

During my recent visit to the Philippines, I met with one of my dear friends who recommended this place. We had garlic fried rice with gising-gising (green beans cooked in coconut milk and chilies), crispy patis wings, sisig (crispy bit of pork snout, ears and belly) and then their mangoes and kesong puti spring rolls ala mode for dessert. Great Filipino comfort food! I love the idea of being able to order S, M or L depending on the size of your group. Service was prompt and friendly. Ambiance was pleasant. I just wish they had booths.

I used to love Manam but this particular visit was not pleasant at all. The lady that seated us was a little unpleasant and aggressive. We were seated on a table with messy floor (rice on the floor) and were not given water immediately. The restrooms were not clean and poorly maintained. There were plenty of staff but the place was unkempt. As for the food, we were served cold dishes except for the sinigang. For the price of the food here, I expected better service and hot food.

One of my favorite restaurants to eat whenever I am visiting Manila. It's hard enough to pick where to eat Filipino food in Manila, but the modern twist Manam offers definitely makes this restaurant stand out. Their modern yet traditional Filipino dishes bring out a whole new flavor in your mouth. If you ever visit Manila, check out one of there many locations and don't forget to order a Mango shake, wink wink.

I ordered the kare-kare which I haven't had in years that seeing it in front of me made we want to devour the entire bowl of red-orange velvety soup with tender oxtails and tripes and yummy veggies. My coconut water on the shell was sweet but was room temp. Oversized, it was a great experience. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is part of the LJC Group of restaurants so it pretty much knows what it is doing. It offers mostly Kapampangan fare with a gourmet touch, so imagine the richness and strength Pampanga's cuisine is known and add a touch of sophistication. PROS: My SO and I went here for a date to celebrate something (I'm not sure what it was anymore, tbh.) and the place was perfect. It is intimate enough for good conversation and the ambiance was comfortable with its Filipino furniture and décor; The food is adequately filling and priced reasonably. The bagoong rice was actually good enough to be eaten on its own but we enjoyed its other offerings as well. CONS: it's a bit full during dinner rush on weekends so make sure you get a reservation so you can get seated immediately. TL;DR: Fresh and wonderfully cooked Kapampangan dishes to delight every taste bud.

From the moment you crack open the menu, you know what you're getting: no gimmicks, just real-deal Filipino comfort food, with a nod to the streets via a proud offering of isaw. We went for the classics--nilaga, lechon kawali, grilled tuna belly, Java rice, garlic rice, and pork BBQ. Heavy hitters, all of them. I don't usually go for huge portions, but here? Resistance was pointless. Every bite hit like a memory you didn't know you had. The ambiance walks a fine line: traditional roots with just enough of a modern pulse to remind you where you are. Nothing sterile, nothing fake. Just good food and good people. The staff? Polite, attentive--like they actually give a damn. This is the kind of place I'd come back to without hesitation. No pretense. Just food that tells you a story. Lola Ote--my new favorite go-to in the Philippines.

We ended up pivoting to the lunch menu, and it turned out to be a great decision. The standout dish was the Pork Barbecue. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and savory flavor, and the meat was cooked just right. The Inihaw na Tenga ng Baboy (Grilled Pig Ears) was equally delicious, featuring the same excellent seasoning and smoky flavor in a different cut of pork. The Inihaw na Liempo (Grilled Pork Belly) was another winner, tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. We also enjoyed the "Bakuran" Salad, a refreshing combination of local vegetables, salted egg, and alamang (shrimp paste) that complemented the grilled dishes nicely. A special shoutout to our server, Joy, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. She got us seated quickly, and our food arrived even faster. The restaurant itself is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience. We'll definitely be back and would happily recommend this place to friends and family.
