Stopped by there for a latte and tried one of their chocolate puff pastry balls... Jeeezzz!!! It's good.. like GOOD good.. The latte was super smooth but it's the chocolate puff ball that made me want to leave a review. I'm not usually into pastries, especially ones with stuff in the middle but this had a nice thin crispy shell with a cool tasty chocolate puff in the middle that wasn't too rich or overwhelming.. Manal Bashir Pastry Co. is definitely my favourite coffee spot in Thornhill. It has perhaps one of the most welcoming spaces I have ever seen for a coffee shop--the interior is well-lit with natural light, accompanied by relaxing music and a super clean and well-maintained environment. I love the space. The coffee is also delicious. I got the cold brew, and the chocolate note in the brew was super rich - it almost tasted like a mocha! I love it. Service-wise, Chris is THE guy. He is super friendly, helpful, and thoughtful for every visiting guest. It is always delightful to see him on every visit. I love Manal Bashir Pastry Co., and I only hope they would open a bit earlier/a bit later so I can stay over to do my work. I shall also come back for their cakes & desserts. read more

This is a nice little bakery and coffee shop right off Yonge and centre. The folks that run the place are super nice, friendly and patient with questions. I liked that the pastries are not overly sweet but full of flavour. Will buy again and try some other stuff. The inside is very comfortable with seating and tables. I would recommend giving them a try. It will be a change of pace for sure from the run of the mill stuff that's available out there. We enjoy Ted the espresso and green team tiny puffs the most. read more

Very impressed with the quality of both the pastries and coffee. Especially for the price. Tips are optional. Wifi is complimentary. Super friendly staff, which was one of the highlights of this little cafe. Never rushed us to finish our food/drinks and allowed us to stay for as long as we liked. Seating is limited but very spacious. Suitable for small groups to work and chat or just coming in for a quick coffee. Second time coming to this cafe in two days while we're visiting the Toronto area. Definitely one of our favourite places to remember. read more

The desserts here are AMAZING. I've had the cookies - very good. I've had multiple cakes - very good. But - never mind them. The one thing that is so damn good that I find myself ordering it multiple times a month - their chocolate tart. Both the full-size and the tartlets. It's so damn good. You can see my review history and see that I'm obsessed with desserts, and their chocolate tart is easily top 5. Stop reading and start ordering. I promise you it's worth it.
