I have had Management One manage a single-family rental for me since 2001. At first, I thought they were a little slow on following up on things; probably due to a small staff, at the time. Over the years Management One has really upped it's game. They now provide first class service for both residents and property owners. Michael is really good on following through on things. Steve is also good on follow up. Management One has made great strides in containing maintenance costs for the property owners, while making sure the residents get their repairs done promptly. Their contractors worked in 100 degree heat to install a replacement air conditioner in my rental property, all at a reasonable cost to me. Over the years, my confidence in Management One has grown to the point where I intend to acquire more properties under Management One coverage. They look after residents and owners equally. They are straightforward in their dealing with all. Management One has a real estate division to assist would-be owners in purchasing their first rental property, or helping existing owners add to their portfolios. Krissia is the one to see! I have had a really bad experience with a different management company in San Diego County. They would collect their commission and offer nothing in return. They wouldn't screen prospective renters properly or inspect the property. Fortunately, I have found the professionalism of Management One to be in sharp contrast to my previous experience. I have supreme confidence in their ability to look after the interests of both property owners and renters. They want to see that,ideally, everyone ends up satisfied. If you are looking for an affordable well-maintained property to rent, go with Management One. most unprofessional company i had the displeasure of encountering. they lie, steal, claim tenant property, assess fines and fees undeserved by the renter, i was billed $10.00 for a plastic toilet paper roll holder, the small plastic bar portion that the toilet paper roll hangs on. the back yard had mounds of cat feces literally piles 3 feet high in the back yard, i had to call animal control for the over population of feral cats which can cause serious illness due to the filth of these animals, we humanely removed over 30 feral cats on our own, turning them over to animal control, i was never late on rental payments, did not damage any property, i was simply too busy to take management one property management to court to recover the money swindled from me, this is what these property management companies rely upon. the tenant being too busy to sue for damages. to all renters, if you have been stolen from or taken advantage by management one property management, you really should take them to court just as they steal money from hard working American citizens with impunity and no conscious. hopefully the California attorney generals office will look into this companies business practices, management one property management has become comfortable stealing from renters. California has some of the most strict rental laws known, RENTERS USE THIS RESOURCE ...COURT these statements can be verified through public record. read more

Terrible Experience - Misleading, Unprofessional, and Unresponsive I had an extremely frustrating experience with this property management company. From the start, they were dishonest about the fees that needed to be paid. I was given incorrect information, and when it came time to make payments, the prorated fees were calculated incorrectly. They also never provided clear payment dates until I had already paid the $3100 holding deposit, which felt like a tactic to pressure me into paying without full transparency. The property itself was listed as "clean," but I completed the pre-move-in inspection, it was obvious that it wasn't. I immediately reported issues and sent pictures of the unclean areas, but my concerns were ignored. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with a company that doesn't take responsibility or address problems promptly, especially when you have done everything they asked. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I dealt with Kristine and Makenzie. Their lack of professionalism and poor communication made the entire experience stressful and disappointing. We have had an AMAZING experience with them. Trisha and Jessica are super friendly, helpful, organized and very very accommodating. Our home had sold and we applied for a beautiful property through Management One. We were qualified for that property but we had issues on our end regarding escrow. Escrow kept being delayed day after day and finally at one point, we had decided to back out of the property because it looked like escrow would never close. Trisha kept in contact with me throughout the whole process and really cared about our situation and both girls were so nice and patient throughout our entire ordeal. Our escrow finally closed and we are thrilled to be able to move forward with renting the home. We ABSOLUTELY recommend Management One. They are very organized and clear about the entire process from applying to actual move in. The take very good care of their properties and take better care of their residents (even new ones!). We had to end our lease early in November and we tried to work with Management One to minimize the time the house sat unrented. Instead of working with us, they wanted to charge us $900 additional fees that were not on the contract, in addition to the $100/day the house sat unrented. For the record, the lease contract we signed only had one $595 fee to break the lease. In addition, the office managers were basically rude to us. Here is a direct quote of what they sent us: "At this time, we will no longer be responding to your emails, texts, or calls." And to my friend who wanted to rent the place after we moved out: "stop emailing, calling & texting, they are working with other customers." The only good thing during the time we used Management One's services is that service requests were responded to. We had a light fixture that broke and the contractor came out and fixed it for us within 3 days. read more

Can I just say that Iesha Morris is God sent! Any accounting issues or any issues in general you have she is there to help and so quick to respond back to you. Management One has been a good management company for my rental home. They take care of all repairs, painting and anything that comes up and my monthly rent proceeds are direct deposited. Connie was very thorough and helpful and kept me abreast of all goings on during the initiation and on boarding process phase. Valerie in accounting gets back to me very fast with any answers to questions I have, and Stephen the property Inspector also. This is very helpful as I now live overseas. i wish all my encounters with customer service personnel will be similar to what we just had with Ian. His replies to our queries were excellent and very knowledgeable. He took his time to respond to every question with regard to our concerns. A good example was a rent increase that we thought would be effective this month of February. He explained that the tenant last year moved only on the middle of the month ; thus the rent increase would only be realized on the second half of February 2026. I have been very happy with my rental experience with Management one. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly whenever I've had to deal with them. Jessica and Trisha know me by name when I come into the office and always have smiling faces. When my mom has come into the office instead of me they even ask about me.
