Jolene has been cutting my hair here for eight years. She is awesome. Besides getting a great haircut, I learn what is happening on UNC's campus. She always has a smile on her face and her energy and enthusiasm are contagious. read more

MANA Jo's Salon is absolutely fantastic. I prefer going here over any other place, so much so that I live an hour away when I am home from school and still would make the drive to get my hair cut and done by her. Jo has done so many amazing things for both the community at the University of Northern Colorado and for the school itself. A few friends and I also created a presentation project through the Residence Hall Association for MANA Jo's Salon to nominate her and her business for the Commitment to Community award and won that award. Jo has shown impactful and exemplary commitment to our UNCO community, which is why she is very deserving of the award. We wanted to recognize Jo for all her hard work as a businesswoman, hair stylist, entrepreneur, mentor and for the wonderful human being that she is, both to each individual that passes by her door, to the University's community as a whole. Not only has she provided opportunities for students to pursue careers through working with Jo and being provided with experience opportunities and small business tips, tricks, and advice to be able to work anywhere they please and be successful, her services are affordable and inclusive to all, as she has been working in services and bringing in specialists for textured hair as well as for male and masculine clients, on top of curly and straight hair of all lengths, treatments and styles, and genuinely has shown that she prioritizes her saying "Look Good Feel Good" and committing to helping others succeed in their futures. She also teaches her clients how to ask for exactly what they want, how they want it, and how to be specific so that each person gets their look exactly how they want it and be the best version of themselves. She is truly magical and I highly recommend her for your next hair appointment or even to ask about furthering your career in the hair and beauty industry! read more

I love Jolene. Hands down, the best stylist I've ever had. I'm very picky about my hair, and she's never once let me down. She is the only one I trust to cut, color, and shape my hair. After every visit, I thank her for making me feel beautiful again. I highly recommend Mana Jo's. Five stars to Jolene! read more

Jolene's Mana Jo's is more than a salon--it is a sanctuary shaped by attentive craft and steadfast professionalism. Jolene listens with a rare, patient precision, ensuring every client feels understood before a single tool is lifted. Her work reflects that sincerity: thoughtful consultations, meticulous execution, and results that honor each person's unique style and identity. What sets her apart, however, is her commitment beyond the chair. Jolene mentors emerging ethnic female entrepreneurs with the same depth of care she gives her clients. She models confidence, integrity, and resilience, offering guidance that is both practical and empowering. In an environment where representation and support matter profoundly, she provides both with grace. Mana Jo's stands as a bright thread in the tapestry of UNC--an example of what happens when skill meets heart, and when a business becomes a beacon for future leaders. read more

Jo is the most talented & professional, full service stylist I've ever had cut & style my hair. My hair is curly in spots & straight in others & this makes it very hard for me to make it look decent. She knows how to deal with my mixed hair & the way she cuts it brings out the natural curl. I always leave her salon feeling pretty & uplifted. Her prices are extremely reasonable & she has a wide variety of product to choose from, if you need something, but she doesn't push them on you. If you need any type of hair service short, long, new ideas, color, etc. Jo is the one to bring your vision to life. I've being going to Jo for over two years & I am not a UNC student. I would recommend Mana Jo's Campus Salon to anyone who wants to be taken care of in a Salon with a truly caring, compassionate professional. read more

Here for the community! Mana Jo's obviously services students on campus (making her prices very competitive), but you do not have to be a student or UNCO affiliated to schedule an appointment. Called Jo yesterday and she was able to squeeze me in today for a time that worked best for me, between classes and running around town. She asked me what I was looking to get done, and between me fumbling over my words and showing a picture, she was able to communicate exactly what I wanted. She let me know exactly what she was going to do and when finished, walked me through exactly what she did to elevate my cut and style by working with the shape and nooks and crannies of my head. Jo has great energy and I could tell wanted to ensure that I had a great experience. She talked about client - stylist relationship and wants you to be as honest as you can with her to get you the cut you deserve. She definitely gained a regular client today and I'm stoked I found a stylist who's more invested in my hair than I am. read more

Need a hair cut super bad! I work at UNC and thought I'd give these ladies a chance! Started off bad when I tried to call and nobody answered so I called again and then I get hung up on! So then I text whoever I'm guessing the owner and she tries to get me in at 5 o'clock. I'm pretty sure they close at 5 o'clock! Then she tells me she can get me in at 3:15 but she can't blow dry me! When I go somewhere to get my haircut, I don't want to feel rushed. I want to make sure my hair is good when I leave. my hair is important to me as it is anybody who goes into a salon to get a haircut or get their hair dyed! I've seen her tiktoks, and I've seen the reviews and it's lady owned! And everybody had nothing but good to say, but my experience was far from good, and I didn't even get to go in. I definitely would not trust her with my hair after the conversation we had. read more
