Ordered our meal, took about 30mins for our meal to arrive but the waitress never brought our soups prior to the meal. When we mentioned the soup she stated that she realized she forgot them. I had to ask the waitress to please bring our soups which then took her an additional 20mins. At the point she returned with soup we were almost done with our meal. Food was overall a 4 out of 10, the Kentucky Stew was very salty, meat was beef jerky dry, hamburger was overcooked char-burned. The mac and cheese was very oily greasy it separated and had butter/oil in the dish quickly. Worst part of the entire meal was that we found 2 long brown hairs in the mac and cheese. Prices weren't too bad, pretty fair for the quantity.

Satellite TV, small fridge and microwave. Adequate parking. Super quiet in a Friday night. The bar seems to be mostly locals. The service was friendly and efficient. I called to let them know I would be a later checkin. That was no problem. Breakfast weekends only at 8 am. I didn't eat here this trip, but I had a decent dinner there in a similar trip last fall.

Husband enjoyed Leinie's beer. We shared a pizza fry with marinara as an appetizer. Very cheesy but lacked garlic flavor. Plenty to eat and have as leftover. I had the personal size chicken bacon ranch pizza on the thin crust. (Not as thin or crispy as I would have liked but still good). Husband had Lasagna with garlic cheese bread and loved it. He had the single size & took plenty home for leftover. Signs said they have pizza and salad buffet on weekdays. Seemed like carry out business was booming also. (They may have a drive up window). Definitely worth a stop if in the area.

Shelly greeted & seated us, we wished she could have stayed to eat with us!! Server Allie took great care of us, & Owners Megan & John stopped by to visit. What nice people, we enjoyed their time! Antipasto salad & "Martino's Supreme pizza" were delicious; beer & ice tea yummy!! Very reasonable prices, awesome customer service, & crave-able lunch - just wished we could have stayed longer to visit & enjoy!! Thank you Martino's!!

I stayed a few years ago, and ate there in 2016 or 2017, prior to its closing two years ago. Neither experience was noteworthy. This year on my annual vacation to the area, I was glad to see that Camp 28 had been sold and reopened, so I figured I'd give it another chance. I'm very happy I did. The pot roast was outstanding, the walleye excellent (try the breaded version), and the on-tap beers were great. From talking with one of the new owners, I found out that they have also been overhauling the rooms, and I much prefer the new decor, interesting photos and items from the logging history of the area. I'll certainly be going back, and I give this high recommendations.

A tiny TV with about 5 or 6 tv stations, signs everywhere telling you what not to do, and just a general feel of basic, no-frills dullness. No internet is also is a big negative, though expected in the area. The saloon gets a bit lively on occasion, but with so many options catering to such a small population, competition with the main street bars can draw away from the atmosphere. I did have a rather positive experience at the restaurant. The food was tasty, and was served promptly. Plenty of photos on the wall, combined with a great view of the lake give you something to do while waiting for your food. The wait staff expressed a seemingly genuine interest in my contentment, along with the reserved curiosity that accompanies all small towns. All in all, a pleasant meal. The total rating balance for this place would hover around the average range.
