During the job, the crew repeatedly ran short of roofing materials. At first, none of us understood why. Ben eventually discovered that a third-party roof-measurement service had calculated the roof dimensions incorrectly--an issue Precision had never encountered in the thousands of roofs they had estimated. There was no reason for them to expect that calculation to be wrong until the material quantities made the problem apparent. We were understandably worried about what that might mean for the project, but Ben came out, clearly explained what had happened, and immediately reassured us that Precision would take care of it. They made it clear that no additional cost from the error would be passed on to us. Precision brought out the additional materials and finished the roof without asking us to pay more.
