Sat at the bar where the older barkeep greeted my boyfriend and I as "fellow citizens" (ironic, because his accent told me he's foreign-born) and started making jokes about Obama liking modelo especial because "They're both black" (???). Service was incredibly slow. We asked for a menu and never got asked what we wanted to eat, so we left. A single regular modelo was $14, also, which is insane to me. The atmosphere was cool I guess but I assure you, there is no shortage of western bars out here that aren't incredibly unfriendly.

Well, the ambiance is what you can expect from a western tourist restaurant. The atmosphere was upbeat, music was decent and most people seemed to be in good spirits. The service was pretty good. I have no complaints. Server was pleasant and speedy. The steak was just ok. The sides were also just ok. You're getting the theme. Nothing to get excited about, but I wasn't upset about it. Decent place to take tourist friends who want a experience.

We had some good service and great burgers here! We came near closing time but the waitstaff was pleasant and professional regardless. We ordered the mammoth burgers and everything about them was excellent.. the price was reasonable. They were served with fries that were crisp on the outside and potatoey on the inside and nicely salted. The burgers were quite generously sized, with a thick burger cooked medium well (that's just how they cook them) and the onions, mushrooms and cheese are melted into a glorious topping worth writing home about! The burgers are on a bed of lettuce sitting atop a bun... the only thing that would have made it perfect would be to toast the roll and put some butter on it... yes if said it, I wanted my bun buttered! They have a full bar and an assortment of soda flavors as well as bottled water. They don't give two water because the well is 100 years old and possibly unsafe for consumption. Here's where it gets dicey- the restrooms... they gave ick vibes... The burger tasted great, the service was okay, but the bathrooms... So, I'm not sure I'd go back...

The food wasn't even the best part though I did like my pulled pork sandwich! The fries were nice and hot, margarita had a really pretty color to it and I enjoyed it with my food. They had live music, we started out sitting inside, but eventually moved to the patio to take in the views. I was torn because honestly both inside and outside were beautiful. The service was quick, not super bubbly but it got the job done. And the Cowboys and the horses were really the cherry on top of the whole experience.

I ordered a ribeye steak and shared with my hubby. It was cooked to the way I requested and it delicious . Definitely will come back and recommend to my friends.

This place is exactly what you'd hope for in an old-school saloon nestled in a Ghost Town--Mammoth Steakhouse & Saloon delivers that classic Western vibe with a side of genuine hospitality. Not sure why they've got some low reviews floating around, because our experience was top-notch. The decor is old-timey in the best way--wood floors, swinging doors, and enough cowboy charm to make you feel like you just tied up your horse out front. The food? Straight-up saloon fare done right. I had the New York steak with a side salad and it hit the spot--cooked just right, seasoned well, and honestly better than I expected for a place this remote. What really stood out was the staff. They were not only friendly, but super accommodating when it came to food allergies. Attentive without hovering, and genuinely seemed to care that we were having a good time. Bottom line: If you're coming here expecting fine dining with white tablecloths, this ain't that. But if you're looking for a laid-back, Western-themed meal with solid grub and great service in a one-of-a-kind setting--this is your spot.

What a wonderful location with views of Superstition Mountain. Live music outside with both outside seating and inside. Food and service were very good. If you prefer to have water, they suggest buying bottle water vs tap. Plenty of complimentary parking. The view is priceless.

Nice option to stop and eat while visiting Goldfield. The theming makes you feel like you're in a saloon and our service was great. The food was good as well. We enjoyed the quesdilla and the Prickly Pear Lemonade

The owner and chief bartender is an arrogant jerk, and the beer is overpriced. But the ambiance is nice.

Cool place on a hot day. Bring bucks. $6.50 for a can of Bud. Otherwise micro brewery beers on tap. Can't imagine how much those are.

This building seems to rotate businesses, and after trying, I really hope they remain in this location! Based on the crowd on a Wednesday night, and the lively atmosphere, I'm sure they will for years to come! MAJOR PROPS! My friend is celiac and they not just accommodated, but the manager came to speak with her who was also celiac. Hands down the BEST service in Apache Junction regarding dietary restrictions and allergies. What we ordered: - Pair of Prickly Pear Margarita: loved the sweet and slight tart flavor, definitely have another when I return. A great beverage to toast to life and catch up with a friend. - Southwest Chicken Salad (modifications to be gluten-free safe): my friend said it was delicious, and loved that she could eat with confidence after speaking with the manager - Sonoran Burger: they will only cook to medium - medium well due to a flattop, but it was still a tasty burger! Loved the toppings it came with, and a great flavor profile with those combination of ingredients. We both said we'd return and see each other once a month, so I may be back soon! Heck, plan to recommend to my dad and boyfriend as we always love supporting local.

Got bounced by a short, old, fat, bald guy (general manager? hall monitor? liquor-license…read morewhisperer?) who was clearly enjoying a personal renaissance of authority because I dared to possess half of a Dutch Bros iced coffee. This was after I explained to the absolutely lovely hostess that we were coming straight from church and hadn't had time to finish it, and she said it was fine. Apparently her authority only extended to the host stand and not to the Liquor License Enforcement Division of One Man. He came power‑strutting across the room like he'd just been alerted to a moonshine sting operation, and announced in his best I-take-myself-extremely-seriously voice: "I can't let you in here with that. We could lose our liquor license. I can't prove you don't have alcohol in it." First of all, calm down, Barney Fife. That's only if you KNOWINGLY allow alcohol to be brought in. That's not a gray area, that's literally the law. It's also a 25‑second Google, but I guess that was too much to ask during his heroic crusade against the Dutch Bros Cartel. By that logic, you should also be confiscating baby bottles, sippy cups, and Capri Suns before they bring down your entire establishment. Anyhow, yes...restaurants can have whatever policies they want. Fine. Cool. Love that for them. My issue is the tone. The delivery. The implication that we were about to reenact Prohibition-era bootlegging. Here we are: mid‑50s, with my 70‑year‑old mother‑in‑law, fresh from afternoon church at 1:00 p.m., sober as a church mouse (yes, I know I'm mixing metaphors), dressed in our Sunday best...and we're basically being treated like we're smuggling bathtub gin into a speakeasy. Sir. Please. The most dangerous thing we were carrying was iced coffee and a mild sense of optimism. So yeah...thanks but no thanks. We quietly left, caused no scene, didn't argue, didn't flip tables or quote statutes (cough, cough) A.R.S. § 4‑244, and headed to the BBQ place a half mile up the road. You know...the one that laughed when I asked if my "liquid plutonium" from Dutch Bros was going to get them shut down by the state. Unsurprisingly, the BBQ there was great! The atmosphere was relaxed. The live music was amazing. And no one felt the need to cosplay as a liquor enforcement officer on a power trip.

There were three of us in our party, and we were seated inside. The wait was 10 minutes. They have seating outside to wait. Metzy took care of us from start to finish and her service was completely on point, friendly, and fast without ever feeling rushed. We ordered drinks, their famous chili, and burgers, and everything came out incredibly fast considering how packed the place was. The food was awesome. The chili was flavorful and hearty, a must try, the burgers were cooked perfectly and loaded with taste, and the beers were ice cold, exactly what you want on a busy weekend outing. For a spot that's this popular on a Saturday, the combination of quick service and great food really stood out. Given the rating we'd seen beforehand, we were pleasantly surprised; maybe it was our lucky day, but based on this visit, Tortilla Flat Salon deserves a much higher score. We'll definitely be back and will happily recommend it to friends and family.
