Good food, but the in person service is a major letdown. I really wanted to love this place. We…read moreordered their food to my job all the time and always thought it was pretty decent, so I was excited to finally visit in person on June 7th around 5 PM. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the food. When we arrived, there were only two other guests being helped at the counter and the dining room was empty. No one greeted us when we walked in. No one offered us a menu. We actually sat down to see if anyone would eventually acknowledge us, but after waiting in silence for 20 min we finally had to get up and ask what they even had available to eat. Because of the vibe and the fact that they close at 7 PM, we felt uncomfortable ordering a full meal and just got some alcapurrias and pastelillos. To make matters worse, the girl with the red hair at the front counter was especially rude and made us feel like an inconvenience. We don't have many options for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine that actually reminds us of home in the area, so I genuinely hope management sees this and addresses the front of house service. Good food only goes so far when the customer service makes you feel unwelcome. A 3 because the food is genuinely good other wise a 1.

Here are their delicious alcapurria bites and bacalaito bites- totally seasoned to Puerto Rican perfection.

Service - walked in and immediately greeted. Asked if I wanted to do dine in or take out. Since it wasn't busy I opted for dine in. My server spoke a little English but was super friendly. She took care of me and and even brought a take out container noticing I didn't finish my food. Food- ordered the pernil lunch special and morir sonado to drink. Food was very delicious and reminded of the same food I would get on the island :) my only complaint was that my food was not super hot when it came out but it did coke out quickly after ordering. Food is priced well. Ambiance - small and cozy very welcoming. Not a ton of inside seating but could accommodate several families. 9/10 I definitely would return and make myself a regular here.

The service here was like at home. The food here tasted incredible. All of them were freshly prepared and seasoned. They have Mofongos from both Dominican and Puerto Rican. My party ordered the Chicharron y Pollo Mofongo from the Dominican side and Carne Frita Mofongo from the Puerto Rican side. The Dominican Mofongo was like a treasure chest that had fried pork rinds and shredded chicken hidden inside and melted cheese on top. The Puerto Rican Mofongo we ordered came with the fried pork chunks which tasted so good with the Mayo ketchup. But my number one today definitely was the cheese flan. It was perfectly sweetened with a texture between the cheese cake and caramel flan. I certainly will be back to try some of their other dishes.

MAYOR WARNING FOR DOOR DASHERS, on the one across from old town!!;…read more The three star for passed visits i had a great time n was lucky with the food. But why three? Im pretty sure this is the same truck over across old town where all the food trucks are parked. About 2 years ago they had nothing available. But they went above n beyond to offer us whatever they had left. Gave us a big plate of fried meat n what was left of their tostones n yuca. My family was happy and the food was just like back home. Yeah but why 3? You see im on vacation up here n I decided to try ordering their food trough Door dash, the location across old town shows up on door dash! I was like no freaking way!! And decided to do business with them. I was ecstatic! I remember how good their food was and better yet! The whole menu was available! I was like whuuut!? Carrucho encebollado? Bam!, alcapurias de jueyes? Bam!, camarrones con mofongo!!? BAAAAM! I made nice 6 item combo! Hell they had MACI!!? Oh yeah babbabbaaBAAM!!! Cue sponge bob meme: "1 hour later" So what happened? Door dasher driver goes through the horrible traffic jam in 192 to get to the place n guess what!? Anybody? The owner n the manager told my driver that they DO NOT DO DOOR DASH! But they are on the app!! Then the manager said he didn't even have his ipad on him. Sooo you do the dash? Or not?! Definitely deserves a 1 star for that, but i refuse to accept this! Im here for a week and i will challenge these company TO DO BETTER. Come on! Prove to me that u can do better! Again this rating is for the one across old town! (Fun stop) They not even on the map! I will gladly put them on the map later this week n obviously ask if these two businesses are the same truck n give them both a proper rating.

I ordered a cup of octopus, an alcapurria and a tripleta. The only thing I would rate 5/10 is the tripleta, I didn't find anything outstanding with it, too basic/plain, didn't have any special sauces of anything. The alcapurria was nice and crispy. They do not sell drinks though, if you want to buy a drink you need to visit the main complex which is a few steps away. The main complex has plenty of space to walk around and enjoy some family time after you eat, a HUGE gift shop, a lake, a mini petting zoo with ponies. They also have monster truck school buses you can ride!!
