I stayed in Granbury for a race I was doing fairly nearby and wanted some carbs beforehand and a celebratory meal afterward. Decided to get a pizza and split it over two days. I was glad to have found Mamas Pizza, which had a gluten free cauliflower crust option, just a half mile from my hotel. The ordering was easy, the staff member very pleasant and the timing was great for a Friday night. The pizza itself was OK. The vegetarian option came with one serving of both green and black olives, along with some other staples. Not the diversity of options I wanted. I also asked to sub spinach for the jalapenos. The photos shows they took out the jalapenos, but I don't see any evidence of spinach. Be forewarned: the cauliflower crust is a $6 upcharge, which is excessive. I knew that before ordering but that was my only option with my gluten allergy. read more

Great product, great quality pizza. Delivery orders are a 50 / 50 proposition - you order online, you wait for the order to be accepted by the restaurant, the order gets accepted, you're notified your order is in process, online tracker says your driver is on their way to the restaurant to pick up your order..... tick tock tick tock - you refresh your order status screen 45 to 60 minutes after placing your order and get a big fat NOTHING BURGER - we're sorry, "your order has been cancelled" and even though we withdrew funds from your debit card when you placed the order, not only did we screw you by cancelling your order, but you are notified that you will see your refund "in 5 to 7 business days" - uhh.... screw that! You take my $$ immediately upon order placement, but my refund for you CANCELLING my order will take "5 to 7" days???? I love this pizza, but we are 2 for 2 on failed orders with this restaurant on order execution. To the owner - find a reliable service provider for delivery - it's hurting your reputation. Dominos is loving your delivery execution failures! read more

Mamas Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Granbury, Texas

Standing at cash register ordering when a cockroach ran across the counter. The employee smashed it with his hand and wiped it off with a napkin leaving the residue on the counter. I canceled my order and asked for a refund. The employee offered me two free pizzas which I declined. read more

We were in the mood for pizza and decided to order Mamas Pizza. Im really glad we did the large Supreme Pizza was delicious, from the garlic crust to all the toppings. It was yummy! :) The service was very friendly as well. We will definitely be back. :) read more

The wings are good. However, the pizza is crappy. Burnt edges and mediocre cheese application to a cheese pizza is what was given. How do you mess up cheese pizza?? lol. Burleson has a better location. I won't return. :/ read more

What a pleasant surprise! Really good pizza. The BBQ chicken and veggie lovers were both on point. Super friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Idk when I'll next be in Granbury, but would definitely come here again! read more

So I'm not a big fan of buffets and all-you-can-eat options. And while the lunch option was tempting, we decided just to order a large pie. We did not eat the whole thing, and the cost was less than 2 lunch buffets. And I had a slices for lunch the next day! The pizza was OK. I'm not a big fan of thick(er) crust, but when thin and thick crust are the same price, well I go for the more filling. On our visit (it was late 2021) canned and bottle beer was an option, and draft might be coming. Salad bar was small, but it seemed the offerings were OK. It was popular too, with people definitely trying to get their money's worth. Bottom line: Like Sarah E., we miss Joe's too. The Joe's that was BYOB. read more

Friendly helpful service, and the two pizzas we ordered were delicious! Would definitely order from here again.

Best pizza anywhere!! Everyone is so nice and makes sure you are happy and enjoying your pizza!!

We got this pizza on Saturday and it was the absolute bomb dude! I loved it the cheese they use is great.

So excited to see that Mamas pizzas has branched into Granbury! We stopped in on day 2 in business to try the pizza buffet. Easy to order at the counter and jump in line. $12 gets you all you can eat pizza, salad and a drink. The buffet is tiny but well stocked and the staff kept the hot pie coming. The salad bar is excellent with some good ranch for dipping. We left stuffed and happy! read more

This place is ADDICTING!!! My whole family loves this place, and the game area for the kids is a major plus! :)

This pizza joint is our normal go to to get our pizza fix but Friday evening was a little off pace. Besides paying 20 bucks for a three topping medium pizza, we asked for a crispy crust and it seems that they have a problem cooking your 20 dollar pizza the way you want. I asked then to cook and crisp the crust up a little and they responded that once the pizza is sliced, it can't be placed back in the oven. That was a lie because they have done it before. If you are there to pick up, please notice your receipt where they charge you 25 cents for pick up your pizza. Do they realize if you eat in then they have to buss tabkes and clean plates and utensils. I usually like the pizza, but they are pricing themselves out of business. read more

The pizza was delivered without the toppings ordered, the crust was raw and they only refunded $6. Definitely not worth the price you pay

Disregard the negative comments, they seem to generally be disgruntled Joe's fans... as am I! But it's not because of the pizza! Pizza buffets are typically below average at best, but this one is better than most! I grew up on Mama's Pizza in Arlington, and there's no better pizza in Granbury than Mama's! Call ahead, or come in and have a cold beer or glass of wine while you wait for your order, get it to go, and enjoy! Or, eat in, either way... best pizza in town! read more

I have had far better pizza at a gas station. I could not finish 1 slice it was terrible, dough was under cooked. Never again. I miss when it was Joe's pizza! This place needs to close its doors. read more

This is the 3rd time I've ordered (very expensive orders) from doordash and they got order wrong. 1st time missing sauce 2nd time no cheese on the cheese sticks, just dry, weird tasteless bread arrived in the box. 3rd time ordered a supreme pizza and a little bitty cheese pizza arrived. ***check your order before you leave the store or you will be disappointed & don't use DoorDash. The order will not be fixed and they will just give you a partial refund, no apologies. I live out in the boonies so my choices are limited, but I'm done with them after this time. If they get my order wrong every single time, this is obviously just how they roll. read more

When Mammas moved to Granbury, the crust was a bit undercooked. We have given it another try months later and it is very good! The buffet is good too with complete salad bar and pizza. If you were skeptical at first, give it another try! read more

Veggie pizza was good. But why do you always lose our order? 2nd time in a row. Three times over a year of history. Just means we have to wait while it's remade. Not stellar service. read more

Yeah.... No Nope nope nope. It's awful. Won't be back. Several reasons but mostly the food is awful. It's sure not comparable to Joe's in any way shape or form. read more

When Mama"s first opened we went there and it was the best pizza we had had in Granbury. Our daughter and son-in-law were in town this weekend and I told them where we could get a really good pizza. Boy was I mistaken. It was Saturday night and I was surprised to find it almost empty, although there were several people that came in to pick up carry out orders. The pizza was under cooked and the crust was doughy and simply not baked well. Very disappointed, especially since I had highly recommended it to the kids. Reading other reviews, I guess I'm not the only one disappointed lately. I don't think we'll be going back again. read more

Been 8 yrs since had a Mamas Pizza since I moved elsewhere. Didn't disappoint, yummy. Only thing ordered thin crust and not sure it was but was still good. Spent $98 on 1 large, 2 small pizzas so was a little pricey but still delicious. Good next day cold as well. read more

Sorry to say but I miss Joe's!!! I love pizza, but not this pizza. It was cold when they brought it to the table, which is weird if it just came out of the pizza oven you usually can even take a bite it's too hot. The veggies on it weren't even toasted. I felt like it had been sitting for a while. The wings where good better than wing-stop. I probably won't go back. read more

Wonderful small salad bar. Pizza was disappointing. High noise level. Not a place I plan to try again.

I have to say I have only eaten at Mama's Pizza once but have had it delivered multiple times. GrubHub does a great job getting to me hot! The pizza itself is some of the best I have ever found. I'm new to Granbury and I'm happy I found my go to pizza place. read more

Pizza was good! We had 2 different kind and were happy with both! It did take awhile but at least it was fresh!

UBER ordered a Pepperoni Pizza and a Salad. I got a Supreme Pizza and no utensils for the salad delivered to a hotel. So I get to eat with my fingers and throw the pizza away. Horrible order accuracy! read more

We live in walking distance and so we frequently got dinner to go from Joe's. We were super disappointed when Joe's closed because we could get real entrees for dinner & didn't have to drive. We ordered walked over & brought it home. I wasn't thrilled about Mama's going in, as all we were going to be able to get was pizza. But we like it. The wings are good too. I'm originally from the east coast & know what real pizza should taste like so I might not have as high expectations as some but it's pretty good. We have had a couple instances that the crust wasn't as crispy as I'd like, but it's not the norm. Everyone should recognize that this post Covid world has effected the availability of employees & just like everyone else Mamas probably struggles sometimes. More often than not it's good & we will continue to order from Mama's. read more

For a pizza place, the "Buffett" was sad. It was practically bare when our group of 10 came in. The pizza was less than impressive. Even after putting fresh pizza out, my group was not impressed. read more

I'm unclear if all the previous reviews are based on the GRANBURY location. Last December the family and I took a trip to Maryland where we tasted some of the best pizza we have ever had. Two places in town have pizza comparable to the northeast. The brew and mamama's Pizza. The location has plenty of parking you can even park across the street if you have a large trailer or large truck. The atmosphere is by no means loud and we've eaten here close to 20 times. The TVs in the room are turned down but they do have sports playing on them and with request they can change the channel. The salad bar they offer it's stocked with the variety of foods. Lettuce, spinach, carrots, pickles, shredded cheese, six different dressings, chocolate pudding, olives etc. Each time we've eaten at mamas pizza in the pizza choices have all been somewhat different. They always have your supreme pepperoni cheese then they mix it up with a taco pizza or pineapple pizza. All hot and fresh. I rated it 4 Stars just for a few reasons. The first one has to be how often they replace the pizza at the buffet. I've only had this happen a few times but when your in a hurry you can't wait 30 minutes for a pizza you like to be replaced. Next would be crust top. There always seems to be plenty of the big fluffy crusted pizza and not thin crust. However they will take in special orders to cook and lay out pizzas of your choice. I really feel in the reviews with one or two stars did they actually come in to the restaurant more than once. I only say that because the Buffet does change each time you go. read more

Absolutely delicious pizza!! A little pricey, but would definitely recommend!

We visited to celebrate son In laws birthday. We had a large party. Pizza is outstanding. I ordered a side salad. Was just ok. Vinaigrette dressing was ok. We ordered wings , wish they had other flavors like lemon pepper. The pizza is amazing, place is clean, service is prompt and great. Very good experience. Wish they had desserts like cheesecake or tiramisu. Recommend you try it if you haven't read more

We ordered a large pepperoni pizza for delivery. Short on cheese, pepperoni and heavy on the dough and that was thin crust. Very disappointed. We miss Joe's. read more

We ordered & picked up a large pizza on 4/19/2023 & it was EXCELLENT! We'd ordered from them about a year or so ago? Right after they opened after loving the place in Fort Worth on Camp Bowie Road. It was AWFUL. Well, they have so cleaned up their act & the pizza is now just melt in your mouth wonderful. I've never had such great-tasting crust especially. Everyone in the office loved it & then what I took home? My mother loved it just as much & agreed, the crust is a must have. So don't do the thin crust, get the regular. Can't go wrong with this place. We were so pleased & in fact, we're ordered a giant pizza today for lunch! If you've gone before & didn't care for it, I'm telling you, give it another try cuz this pizza is just the best ever & Lord knows, I'm PICKY about my pizza. read more
