I've been watching Mama's get more expensive over the years and the quality and attention to detail getting worse. Please make sure your employees are properly trained on food safety issues or have a manager around at all times. Sometimes it's fine, but often it's inconsistent. The crust is different than other pizzas I've had. There's much more of it, first of all. It's softer like an oven roll. I've been eating at mama's pizza for the last few years. Today I ordered two pizzas. My guest and I each ate half of pizza that were completely different. We both have some mild to severe symptoms of food poisoning now. I've ordered from mama's pizza a lot because they have the low carb, low sugar, cauliflower crust. They are hit or miss if they get my order right. I still continue ordering because of that cauliflower crust. Tonight is different though. Out of respect for their business, I called to let the manager know that I and my guest ate something so bad that we were "peeing out of our butts." I told him that one of his employees likely needed to wash their hands more, and that's all I wanted from them. I just didn't want to get sick if I ordered from there again. I thought I was doing something for others courteous by calling, hoping no one else would get sick. He then proceeded to tell me I was wrong, that there is no way we could have food poisoning or symptoms that fast. He said the onset normally takes a day and a half or two. This was the only meal my guest and I had eaten today. Hours later, we both have stomach cramps, and we both can't stop having diarrhea. Luckily, I have not vomited yet, but it's still pretty bad. I think what's worse is the management's response, and trying to gaslight a woman into thinking she didn't receive food poisoning. Based off that manager's response, I won't be eating here again. What kind of manager won't even tell their employees to wash their hands and blames the customer instead? I couldn't believed he said I was lying. What would I have to gain? If I could give this place 3.5 stars I would. Every time I eat here is consistently good with only a few times being mediocre. You get your pizza decently fast and it's served on a metal plate with one of those triangle tools made for scooping up pizza slices. The decorations are cool although kind of off topic. I also wouldn't recommend the small pizza or the buffet. Overall it's a nice place not as good as yarael poof though. read more

I was very concerned about their recently implemented pricing (pricing change in Oct 2025) because I was charged $35 for a medium, two topping, gluten free pizza. I reached out via email and apparently there was confusion at the Burleson location with their new implementation on pricing and I was accidentally overcharged. I don't know why the reviews for Mamas are so bad I have been going to 1 mama's or another since I was about 12 years old and I am no spring chicken now. I saw a review that said they has to pay for each item. I have never done that. They have a combo which is most if not all of the meat and veggies. They also have a veggie pizza which is all of the veggies. You could order either of those and subtract items instead of ordering every single item separately. I think mama's pizza is the best pizza I have ever had. I have driven miles to get 1 before they were in Burleson I use to have to go to Berry St. in Ft Worth to get them. When my husband and I walked in, they told us if we were okay with there being a 30 minute wait for pizza. We told them we were. We appreciated them telling us there was a wait. What we don't appreciate is still not having our food 1 hour and 9 minutes later. All we got was a 2 topping medium pizza. I will update once we get our food and if it was worth waiting. When we moved here a year ago we tried many pizza joints looking for our go-to place. We drove as far as Fort Worth....but nothing could beat mamas. The sauce is marvelous, the crust is chewy and perfectly cooked and it's just a decent pizza. I crave it weekly, even though I'm on a pretty tight diet, it's my twice a month cheat meal! So yummy! I really wanted to like this place. I heard good things since it opened but I didn't have a good experience. When we got there for dinner I was told it was a 25-35 minute wait for a pizza, which was fine. The place was busy. We sat down with our drink and waited, and waited. At 40 mins (I used the receipt timestamp) I asked about our order. I was told it would be right out. Then I start seeing people that came in and ordered after us get their food. So at about 47 mins I asked the manager, an older gentleman. He said "yeah we're running at about an hour right now" and blew me off like they were still within their timeframe. A few mins later he brought the pizza and said "Here you go. Right at 45 minutes." Well no, first off it was well over 50 minutes and I was told 25-35. So it was made out to be like I was being unreasonable. The people beside me also had to go ask for their order and weren't happy. By this time the place had cleared out considerably. All we ordered was a medium pepperoni. My daughter liked the pizza but it wasn't worth the hassle. Little Brothers was much better, we agreed. I like the atmosphere but the service was unacceptable. My biggest pet peeve is when people that come in after me get their food long before I do with no concern from management. read more
