So I have never been here before and was craving pizza. Came with a co worker and it's a little pricey 1 medium was almost 20 dollars. I ordered the cup pepperoni and let me tell you I was not disappointed. The pizza crispy and unbelievably crunchy. The crust had butter on it. They do charge 2 dollars extra for the cup pepperoni. We ordered online but when we picked up the pizza we were charged more than what showed when we ordered. We ordered a hamburger and Texas BBQ pizzas, along with breadsticks. These were the worst breadsticks we have ever had. There was absolutely no flavor to them. The BBQ pizza was atleast edible, but the hamburger pizza seemed to have no sauce, it was very dry. My family is a Mama's Pizza lovers for decades. This Sunday is the first time I've ever been disappointed. I needed two pizzas for lunch. I called at 12 o'clock just as they opened to place my order. It took me 20 minutes to get to the Fielder Road location. I went in and paid for the pizzas. After 10 minutes and watching a least 5 other people pick up their orders, I asked the two young girls at the desk about my order. One of them went to the back and walked around and then told me it would be another 10 minutes. She said they were busy even though I had to be one of the first to place an order. It took another 15 minutes to get my pizza. So in total it took 45 minutes for my order to be ready. The two girls at the front counter seemed to be more interested in their phones than helping with answers. This is also the first time I was ever disappointed in the pizza itself. The crust did not taste fresh at all. If I had to guess, I would say they made the crust the previous days and refrigerated them. I'm so sad that my local Mama's Pizza in Keller closed. We recently tried this place for the first time. It's been around forever and this location is the original. It's usually busy which is always a good sign! We did a build-your-own pizza. They are very generous with the toppings you pick. We got bacon and veggies on ours, the pizza was loaded with bacon! I had to take a little off it had so much (not complaining)! The crust had a medium thickness and a very good texture/crunch. I really nice detail their pizzas have is a garlic/butter pop of flavor folded into the crust at the end of the pizza. Yum. Their prices are also very descent for the amount of food you get. The only thing I would have liked better, would be a little more cheese. It was all toppings and not much cheese. When I first started dating my husband (22+ years ago) he was waxing on about this Pizza place they used to have in Arlington called Mama's Pizza and was lamenting that they had closed down a few years earlier. I quickly let him know about the Camp Bowie and Berry Street locations and we went directly to the Camp Bowie location. Shortly after we got married we learned that Mamas was opening again in Arlington in a former Pizza Hut building. It is quaint, and serviceable decor, not new but is comfortable and familiar. They have a lunch buffet and salad bar. Service is quick. Occasionally they forget to bring a serving spatula... this is an issue in general also at the Debbie Lane Location. Sometimes the pizza isn't sliced clear through (this happens in every Pizza joint and is by no means a pervasive issue, but in the post-Covid era it is nice to have a spatula) . The straws are often too short for the tall beverage glasses. The need to order taller straws. They get the job done, but taller straws are more accommodating. Very minor issues, which if were corrected a 5 review would be spot on. These issues are also evident at the Debbie Lane location,which is closer to home. We eat at both frequently. They have a mobile notification of 2 day long specials that happen once or twice a month, which brings us in almost every time. Great pizza is worth the drive. read more

Looks can be deceiving. The restaurant itself is not new or up dated. Its nothing glamorous, BUT the history is there! Thankfully I had heard good reviews from other people. To my surprise the pizza was very good. We did carry out but they do have beer on draft for good prices! The pizza is also very reasonably priced. We got a large pizza with their traditional crust. The crust was not too thick and not too thin. It was just the right thickness for me. They do not hold back on toppings. We got a build your own with bacon and jalapeños. When I was a kid growing up in Arlington we used to go to the Cooper Street location in the 1970's and 80's. Mama's Pizza is the best pizza I ever had, I've never found another pizza that could beat it. I live on the west coast now and still haven't found anything comparable. That garlic crust is unmatched by anything I've had since then. Every time I visit a new pizza restaurant, I hope that somehow the pizza is like Mama's Pizza but it never is. I went to Mama's Pizza for an early dinner before my family, and I went and looked at Christmas lights. It's one large room where you order at a checkout bar and sit wherever you like. There were a salad bar and area for buffet-style pizza, but it is not available on Sundays. All the tables have grated cheese and peppers. We ordered two pizzas and got drinks. They have fountain drinks, but Pepsi products only, as well as various syrups so you can make your classic Pepsi a cherry Pepsi, etc. We got a large meat lover with olives and a medium chicken and bacon pizza. The cook time was a bit longer than usual, probably near 25 minutes but there are TVs showing sports which were excellent. The pizzas have a delicious crust on the bottom, but the crust near the edge of the pizza was very thick and dry, so I would recommend getting a side of sauce. The toppings are flavorful and bountiful, which is always very appreciated. The sauce is nice and not too heavy or thick. The pizzas came out very hot, so be careful with your first bite. The atmosphere is nice until it gets crowded, then it gets deafening. There is a pineball machine in the same large room that gets loud, so I can only imagine what it must be like for the place to be full. Parking is easy with ample spots even for larger cars. Overall, great yummy pizza, warm atmosphere, and sports. read more
