Half fiesta half Thai both tasty.

This is a fun pizza establishment. I like the concept and freshness of everything. They have so many different pizzas and you can always build your own. The options are endless. It's kind of like a subway style set up. Tell them what you want and customize it any way you want. I got a large pizza with half fiesta and half Thai. Both sounded interesting. I can't decide which i liked best, but both were pretty good. We got regular crust. The regular crust is a good thickness not too thick not too thin. I am planning to try the stuffed pizza next time it looks really good! The only issue we had with our pizza was my husband found a piece of glass in his. This was definitely a concern bc that could have been a serious problem. Lucky it was big enough not to swallow and he didn't bite down on it too hard. I spoke with a manager who helped with the situation. I was just concerned there could be more. We were trying to rationalize how this could have happened. I was told there is nothing glass that could have gotten into the ingredient boxes during pizza preparation. We are now assuming it might have come from the food packaging factory? Who knows, I'm just glad nothing bad came of it. It was probably just a freak thing that happened and is highly unlikely to happen ever again. Overall, I like this pizza establishment and plan to continue to come. Don't forget to try their dessert, it's so good.

We love this place for what you see is consistent and good. It's an easy solution when you have kids because honestly going out can be quite the ordeal sometimes. We usually try and coordinate our trips here with a discount night like $10 Tuesday or something like that to make it a little more affordable and because we've been here so often we have the cooking part down pat but if it's your first time it does take a little to get used to and get it just the way you want it. Our typical order is the BBQ chicken or the gourmet Veggie and both are awesome. My wife's actually wants to try and get them to put BBQ sauce on the veggie because she likes their sauce so much. I can't say we are too adventurous here. We've never really gotten into the salads or the cookie dough or all the other stuff they offer but that's more because we usually have all the sides we just need the entree. The staff are usually very nice but young so sometimes you get a disinterested person on the phone, it doesn't seem to effect how they make the pizza so I'm ok with that. It's cheaper then delivery and better then any frozen pizza ever created. It's worth it to us!

Atmosphere is Deep Ellumish, but nicer, more family friendly. Ordered the garlic flatbread, a Margherita pizza with sausage, cup pepperoni, and caramelized onions. Everything was as expected. That I travel to Socal a lot, this pizza reminds me of being in Oceanside, San Diego, looking out at the waves crashing in, sauntering back out, soft salty breezes, and taking it sooooo easy. It's a relaxing bite. Brick oven sophistication, but simple fresh ingredients that make each slice super light. It's a vacation for the palate away from the usual. Try the patio. Service was awesome. Peace.

When I mentioned it to the server, she responded with an attitude, saying, "we cook it al dente." I understand that al dente is the intended style, but this was much firmer than expected. I asked if it could be cooked a little longer. The server said it would take about five minutes, but when the dish came back, the texture was exactly the same. It didn't seem like anything had been changed. What made the experience even more disappointing was the service. The server never came back to check if the recooked dish was satisfactory. Instead, she only stopped by to ask if I wanted a to-go box. I've dined at this restaurant several times before and have always had a good experience, which makes this visit especially disappointing. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I've had here and the lack of professionalism and customer service.

The special cocktail is a sweet mixture of strawberry, vodka, sprite, which I enjoyed. They were super busy on a Thursday night - lots of customers walking out with more than 1 box of pizza.

Zio Al's is open until 3am and they have beautiful, hot, cheesy pizzas, pasta, calzones, and sub sandwiches. And wings and tenders! And great salads, french fries, breadsticks, a Zaatar wrap and Zaatar pizza. Halal options (they use beef products in place of pork) and veggie options. They don't currently have gluten free pizza crust or pasta, but they do have fresh, crunchy, customizable salads that are delicious. I'm all about a Greek salad or a grilled chicken Caesar salad, hold the croutons. Salad might not sound as appealing as fried jalapeño poppers or a meatball lovers pizza at 2 in the morning, but these salads are sizable with good produce and plenty of dressing. Can't complain too much! PS: If you find yourself at Hooligan's Pub around the corner, you can order food directly from Zio Al's to enjoy there.
