Came here around 12:30PM on a Thursday, there was a short line by the door. We were quoted to be seated in 15 minutes but got a table in 5 minutes. The aesthetics are simple and clean. It smells DELICIOUS in there and it made it hard not to stare at dishes people were eating. Ordering is pretty quick, as long as you know what you want, and the service is prompt. We ordered the kimchi cheese pancake and two combos: mama's kimbap + tteokbokki and soondooboo + galbi-jjim bibimbap. Sadly no banchan, but you get a side of radish kimchee. For all the we ordered, split between four people, the total was about $16 per person. If you want good food and at a reasonable price, I highly recommend coming here and sharing with your friends and family! read more

This place is NOT overpriced & the food is excellent. These complaints over price are ridiculous. This is hands-down the best kimbap I've ever had & the hubs loved his garbi bibimbap. Radish kimchi on point. Great soup. We'll def be back. read more

Was craving some kimbap and this is one of the only Korean places that I found had it. The mamas kimbap was really good! I also got the dolsat bibimbap and an order of bulgogi. All of it was really good, wish they gave me a bigger serving of the gochujang sauce since the bibimbap is basically two meals. But I'll definitely be coming back here again for some kimbap read more

Good food, but messy kitchen process? Maybe it would be better if you go not during rush hour. So, we came right before the line started to build up during lunch time. Got seated nicely. The buckwheat tea (or soba? I forgot) was nice. We placed our order in, 5 items. We got 3 of them fairly quickly, but the last two, seafood pancake and the gal-bi bibimbap were nowhere to be seen for like, forever. The patrons next to our table were questioning the server why we got our food first even though they were sitting down there already (and placed their order) before we entered the place. The 2 servers running around the place were doing good, accommodating the full place / everyone. The cooks in the kitchen though, seems like there's no process at all. I kept looking at the food that came out, it's like 80 / 20 to-go food / dine-in food. We overheard someone else asked the server whether the food that came out were in order, and they didn't know how the kitchen is being run. I even caught one the cooks was looking through the ticket from left to right, and did a little shrug to the other cook as both of them were looking at the tickets. Like, you have no idea which one to cook first? I've never managed a kitchen before in my life, but there has to be a better way to manage these orders. Ended up cancelling the gal-bi bibimbap (I was looking forward to it), and just ate the seafood pancake. Given that I just ate a seafood pancake at Exit 5 Korean BBQ literally the night before, I think the one at Exit 5 was better than this one somehow. Maybe because the Exit 5's one is crispier. I didn't get to eat anything else because it's just had to be my luck that my food didn't come out. Anyway, I think the food is good, just avoid coming during the rush hours. One suggestion would probably be to not accept any to-go or delivery orders if the dine-in place is packed. I've faced that once in a while trying to place an order from UberEats or DoorDash from some other places. The restaurants just turned it off momentarily because they're super busy. They could have done the same thing. Prioritize people who are dining in first. read more

I came here for the first time on Wednesday, 12/4/19 and went back again the next day! It's unlike any Korean restaurant I've been to. They claim that their food is comfort food and I 100% completely agree with that! Each dish has its own uniqueness to it in terms of flavor and variety. My goal is to come back and try every dish on the menu! read more

Mama's has great authentic Korean food. I ordered (for takeout) the galbi jjim bibimbap. The meat was so tender and the vegetables tasted very fresh. I also ordered the ban ban chicken. Half of the order comes with plain Korean fried chicken. The other half is Korean fried chicken tossed in a mildly spicy sauce. The sauce is very red but don't let that intimidate you! It is packed with flavor and the spice level is relatively low. The chicken was juicy, crunchy, and exceptional. The price of the food is on the higher end, especially since there are so many great Korean options in the area. However, I would still make the occasional trip to Mama's especially if I was craving a comforting and homey feeling meal. read more

Yo.... the kimbap here... it is just next level delicious. I haven't had kimbap very many times, but for all the love that is holy was this the greatest decision I have made to come here and get the kimbap. I'll sing praises about this kimbap until I die. Praise the kimbap. There is no ingredient in this kimbap that I would add or remove, it's just perfect. If I make kimbap at home this is the kimbap I would make. Just delicious. read more

Had high hopes for this place. Service was horrific. Server didn't even say one word to us. Not. One. Single.Word. Oh, take that back. She asked if I wanted water, only AFTER my partner asked if he could get a refill of water, hailing her down and practically making the weirdest eye contact with her to get her attention. Never checked on us, nothing, nada. Please consider customer service 101, it's a must in this industry. read more

Sun dubu - was decent, but nothing special. Was lacking the usual strong flavor and spice. Wouldnt come back for this. Dduk bok kee - was delicious. The rice cake was soft and the sauce was great. Tempura was good. Kimchee fried rice - was pretty good. Didnt have as much kimchee as i like and the kimchee wasnt as fermented as i like it. Overall it was a pretty good taste and proportion, but kind of boring around the half way point. Would only order this if shared with at least one person. Kim bab - was delicious. They are quite a bit bigger than the typical kimbab that people make or buy, but its lightly glazed with sesame oil and the tastes come together real nice. Bonus taste when combined with dduk bok kee sauce! The spicy radish side dishes were absolutely delicious! They are sweeter than usual kaktugi and it works real well. read more

Let's just start out with the food here was DELICIOUS!! Never been to a Korean restaurant that was so delicious like Mama's Kitchen before. I was super excited to try this place out with a couple of my friends and there was no regret at all coming here. Its located near the Factoria Mall so if you need a place to eat after going shopping, then you should check this place out. Friday nights tends to get busy but when we got there, we were seated right away and the service of this restaurant was on point! Server got our water and our order super quick. I recommend doing a family style order, where you get multiple dishes to share with your friends or family. Its a great idea for you and your friends or family to try a little bit of everything. The dishes that me and my friends decided to order were Mama's Kimbap, Mama's Budae Jjigae,Seafood Premium Ramen, Galbi Jjim Bibambop, and Cheese Tteobokki. Everything was served with a bowl of soup and a side dish of spicy radish. Everything that we ordered was delicious, every bite you take from the food just makes you want more and more. The flavors was settle and it wasn't too salty or spicy at all, but you can choose your spice level on some of the stuff you order. Overall, my favorite dish that we ordered was the Mama's Kimbap, just because I love Kimbap and this was Kimbap on steroids compare to the ones I had before. I know that forsure I will be coming back here again and order the same stuff and maybe a few more dishes because I know I was still hungry for more delicious food!!! read more

It's a nice looking little restaurant with clean, sick lines. I guess that's what we're paying for. The food is meh and the service is equally average. Mama's kitchen is truly Korean comfort food! The wings were crispy and delicious. We got the ban ban which was half classic (non-sauced) and half yangnyeom (sweet and spicy). The yangnyeom was not too spicy at all -- so much better than the non-sauced! I loved the flavor. The kimbap was filling. It was enough to be an entree in itself for one person. read more

It's been a while since I had Korean food so me and 2 friends decided to try Mama's Kitchen. It's a cute shop that reminds me of a store that I used to visit when I lived in Irvine. Like many other reviews say, the prices are a bit high for the portion sizes. tteobokki 4/5 Compared to what I'm used to they use really long rice cakes. It's not super spicy which was nice and has onions and fish cake. I liked how they include a fried shrimp, eggroll and fried dumpling. Since I was sharing, I didn't try all the fried goods but I did have the fried shrimp which reminded me of tempura because of how light it was. mama's kimbap 5/5 These are fairly large pieces of kimbap. They're really delicious though because of the number of ingredients. Also, it's presented really nicely on a wooden platter. dolsot bimbimbap 5/5 You can honestly never go wrong with bimbimbap. They did a pretty good job because despite us leaving the rice for a bit longer than I normally did, it didn't stick to the bottom. From what I understand that's a food sign. This is almost a vegetarian dish if you ignore the egg. This is also the first time that I've had thick clear noodles as a topping. It was a good number of toppings and a decent size. Between 3 people, it was just a bit more than needed to completely satisfy us. We each got a bowl of soup and radish kimchi. It is a bit unusual to not have a bunch of sides but at the same time something I've come to expect thanks to the store I frequented in Irvine. read more

Probably the best bibimbap and kimbap I've had! Even better than the ones I had in Seoul! The hamburger steak was just so so but the portion was quite generous. read more

I was so excited to try here after hearing about it on Instagram! I couldn't make it to the grand opening so I opted for the next day! The space is a small but cute, contemporary-style restaurant with an open kitchen. The servers were very friendly and attentive so that was a big plus! I ordered the chadol jjeolmyun (spicy, chewy, cold noodles with brisket). Normally, this dish doesn't come with meat so this was definitely a fun rendition to the original that actually paired very well. I loved all the veggies that came with it and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The sauce to noodles ratio was on point and it wasn't overly sweet (this dish is supposed to be a bit sweet, just FYI!). My friend ordered the bulgogi over rice and it was the definition of comfort food and it reminded me of home! Buckle up because we're going to flavor town! Marinated beef and onions on top of a bed of piping hot rice. A very simple yet delicious dish. My friend and I shared the kimchi cheese pancake as well and it was delightful (I think they should rename it to kimcheese pancake.. ha..)! The cheese was sandwiched between the folds of the pancake and completely MELTED. Fair warning, this thing is loaded with cheese but I can literally bathe in it so I really didn't mind. Everything was great, however, I had to knock off one star because of the price. For Korean comfort food, the food was pretty expensive. I'm not sure if it's because they just opened or that's just the restaurant culture in Seattle/Bellevue area, but I was pretty surprised at the price for some of the items on their menu. Regardless, I wanted to support this new mom and pop shop and give it a try. I haven't found a solid Korean restaurant in the Seattle area yet so I'm glad this place opened up. Close to authentic as you can get without having to drive all the way down to Federal Way. I would definitely come back. read more

Great little restaurant; tried the kimbap, bibimbap, and spicy pork. It all was pretty good, bibimbap, and spicy pork over rice. My favorite was the bibimbap, my boyfriend liked it all. I saw some reviews about poor service but I thought the service was great! Very attentive and the food came quick. We went on a Friday evening and it wasn't super busy but not slow. The staff was very nice and welcoming :) The tteokbokki looked delicious though, I'm going to have to try that next! *not pictured is the spicy pork because we were really hungry lol* read more

Really great comfort food! I was, for whatever reason, feeling like eating Korean food, and my friend recommended this place. It was pretty crowded when we visited, and you could tell the staff was really busy. We had to wait a bit before we were seated. Once seated, staff were pretty efficient at taking our orders and getting our food to us...that is, once I finally figured out what to get (since buying one of everything that I wanted to try would be too expensive...). Since I had a tteokbokki craving, I decided to try their cheese tteokbokki. Really filling and tasty, and honestly, thinking about it while writing this review now is making my mouth water! Prices are pretty standard, service is decent, food is great. What more could you ask for? Would definitely recommend Mama's Kitchen. read more

This little spot was such a treat to find over in Bellevue. With it's cozy and modern aesthetic the food is down right home made good! My partner and I split an order of Kimbap that came as a huge roll loaded with pickled veggies. I had the Chadol Jjoimyeon which came with large portions of beef and the noodles were perfectly spicy without too much sweetness or sour. In fact I recommend it as leftovers because it tastes even better to be eaten cold later. Everything here is also super clean, right down to the bathroom, not even a piece of toilet paper on the floor or water marks. Thats a huge plus in my book whenever I happen to be eating at hole-in-the-wall places. The single downside here only, is that you have to pay for kimchi. However the portions are huge and even better to share to get a taste of everything! Worth the drive whichever way you come!! read more

Checked out this new place in the Factoria area. The menu has a lot of tasty options. The individual dish prices are a bit higher than typical but the soondooboo and garlbi Jjim bibimbap combo was a good value, with two full size entrees for $28. Both were very tasty. The soondooboo came with a side of rice and the broth was flavorful with a good amount of tofu and seafood. The bibimbap had a good amount of very tender stewed short rib, with the flavors mixing well with the rest of the dish. Service was spot on, will be back when we are in the area. read more

I came here during a lunch rush. The food was quick to come out and I was so hungry to eat. I got two items which were both filling and delicious. The katsu mayo over rice with eggs was a protein dense and delicious meal. The katsu was juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. When I paired it with the tteokbokki, I was able to dip the crunchy katsu. For the tteokbokki, you definitely want to order it with cheese because it becomes so ooey gooey and compliments the dish. I got the mild version and I maybe should have picked the spicy version. It came with accoutrement that paired well with the red spicy sauce because of the crunch and the contrast with the rice cake. Definitely come here if you're craving some Korean comfort food. read more

Mama's Kitchen is located in an unassuming strip mall but inside is super cute and IG worthy. It is small so better for smaller groups. I've tried the hamburg which is very flavorful which is accompanied by a light and simple salad that was very fresh. I've also gotten takeout of their bibimbap and kimbap - both of which were filled with veggies. They don't just overload you with rice (in fact there was very little rice which I loved!) Prices are more on the expensive side so it's more of a treat than an everyday stop but the quality cannot be beat! read more

We've been wanting to try this place for a while, since it's relatively close to where I live. We usually go down to Federal Way for Korean food, so we were curious if this Bellevue restaurant would be a good alternative. We came in on a Saturday for lunch and it was not too crowded. The restaurant is nicely decorated. We ordered the cheese tteokbokki, and the katsu mayo over rice. The cheese tteokbokki was not very cheesy, and the taste was not that complex. The katsu mayo was also just ok. Nothing really stood out from these two dishes. It's also on the pricier side for a simple lunch. It's nice that they serve complimentary hot tea though. read more

A small restaurant in the Factoria area (not Bellevue) in a small strip mall. The menu was okay, portions were okay, slightly higher priced than most Korean restaurants, and the taste was meh. Service is slow and inattentive. The servers do not ask what you need. How does fried chicken take so long to cook?!

Quick and attentive service. Soondooboo was very good. Also the bulgogi rice my daughter enjoyed. Only thing missing were the side dishes that usually comes with Korean meals. Not sure if that's reduced due to covid or if they just don't have these side dishes. read more

I wanted to try this place for the first time and we asked if we could sit on the lower table over sitting at the bar. But they apparently told us that it was only for if you had a party of 3+. So the girl worker asked another guy worker and that worker then asked us if we wanted to sit on a table or the bar, we said we wanted a table. He then gives us rude look, ignores us and proceeds to walk away. Why ask if you didn't want to hear our answer? I felt like they were being rude to potentially paying customers. The restaurant was only partially full and there were plenty of seats. This is not the experience I was expecting for my first time. I felt like they could be more reasonable about not hearing the answer they wanted or expected. Customer service was a fail. That alone made us want to leave. read more

Food was great, but if you care about service, then I would avoid this establishment. It took them 1 hour to sit us at a table, and we saw the waiters skip our names multiple times. We were last to be called. When we finally sat down, the waiter rushed us to order because it was last call. And the waiter rushed us to pay because they were closing. The experience was awful, and I don't plan on coming back, even if the food was good. read more

We're happy we found this place on Uber Eats. The food is good and has the more modern trendy twist on some of the items. We've ordered a few times and for the most part have really enjoyed everything. The two things that are a bit disappointing are the higher price and some inconsistency with the fried chicken. We've ordered it three times and 2 of the times they were a bit burnt on the outside and the most recent, they put the sauce on the wings when we asked for it on the side, resulting in soggy wings...nobody likes soggy wings. read more

The wait wasn't too long when we got there (on a sunday night) and our food came out pretty fast and everything was delicious and looked just like the pictures. Unexpectedly great for a strip mall place. The hordes of people should have been our first clue. Excellent food and great service.

After almost a year of buying food from only this Korean restaurant I found a hair in my food twice...

Food is okay, but the service is super slow. The servers don't look like they know what they are doing. After reading up on several Yelp reviews on Mama's Kitchen, I was sold on giving this place an opportunity. It's not very easy to get into their parking lot if the nail salon and hobby store have customers. The storefront has a large sign and when you walk in, they have removed the majority of tables, preventing dine in customers. I ordered 2 orders of the Kimbap and had to wait 30 minutes until a larger order was fulfilled first. The packaging of the food and drinks was well done by the staff person. The flavor of the selected roll was good but not awesome to the taste buds. A side of radish kimchee helps accentuate the flavor of each roll but it didn't impress me overall. The place offers other Korean dishes and perhaps, I will return to see if these will allow me to rank them higher the next go around. read more

We drove by the plaza last night looking for a place to get dinner. We originally was planning to go for the Chinese across the parking, but when I saw the sign "Mama's Kitchen", I was like "damn~~~~ we've got to get some love from the mama"... The dinning area looks small, but very nice, clean, and very simple, but yet, very modern looking decorated dinning feeling, a lot like Crate and Barrel / Pottery Barn showroom kind of feeling. Food wise, when navigate thru the menu, I feel like I want to get a piece of everything here! However, we had to make the hard choice for the following: 1. Kimchi Cheese Fried Rice: 4/5: It is very tasty. Its my first time trying kimchi fried rice with cheese, very special. Only complaint I have is its too much oil. 2. Kimchi Cheese Pancake: 2.5/5: Not bad. Major complaint I have is its too greasy to the point that we were too hesitate to eat it. Taste and ingredient wise, its not bad, but its not something that impress me either. 3. Cheese Ttokbokki 4/5: Never had anything like this before. Its basically a cheese pot with rice cake and fish cakes.. so good! One nitpick is that when the dish was served, even tho it uses hot plate, but the food itself doesn't feel hot. Its warm. Hence, I suspect that it either has been put out for a long while before it was served, or its a pre-made food that they simply reheat as order came in, and then pour to hot plate to serve... this is a little disappointing as I am expecting this dish should be burning hot. :) There are a few more items in the menu that look really good to us, that we are definitely coming back to try more stuff soon~! read more
